It’s location, the view and the history, it is a step back in time that really makes you appreciate where you are. The facilities are also great, breakfast supplied, and dinner restaurant were both delicious. The shuttle bus was easy and realizable but MAKE SURE YOU BOOK. This was a great find in our trip around Italy. We did book our bags in at the train station in monterosso and got the 6.30 shuttle up. Highly recommend

Nice people, very clean, excellent breakfast and location if you ha a mean of transport (excellent for Moto)

I like the location but not enough shuttle service considering the place is 6 km out of town. There should be at least one midday service.
Not being able to walk to the property from Monterosso like I had anticipated. 6 km uphill with luggage is not walkable for the average person.

It was hard to find and the bus did not come to pick us up.

Santuario NS Soviore is a quiet, serene oasis away from the mobs of tourists in Cinque Terre. The rooms are basic but functional. The grounds are lovely and the views of Monterosso and the Ligurian Sea are breathtaking.
I highly recommend having dinner at their restaurant. The food is delicious and reasonable priced. Be sure to make a reservation when you check-in. In addition to the restaurant, the hotel has a small bar/snack shop where you can purchase cappuccino, beer, wine, sandwich, etc.
The location is inconvenient if you don’t have a car. If you are not up for the 4 mile walk uphill and you don’t have a car, your only option is a taxi which can be costly (approximately $20.00 one way). The hotel does have a morning and afternoon shuttle that goes to/from the center of Monterosso. You can reserve a seat on the next day’s shuttle when you check-in. There is no charge for the shuttle.

Location was apart from the city, peaceful. View was amazing. We enjoyed our one night in this accomodation.

Great hosts and staff and food was fresh and excellent.
Lovely view from the hotel

The setting us just incredible. You can’t get better than this in Cinque terre. Gorgeous views, cheap rooms, very clean. The food is spectacular too, make sure you eat at the restaurant in the evening.
Another restaurant across the hill was playing very loud music, and there was no fan in the room so I had to sleep with windows open. We came on a cooler evening and we were still very warm. Also make sure you pre book the shuttle if you want to use it as the hike is lovely but quite difficult

The view in the morning was stunning beautiful location. Morning breakfast was amazing there was so much food.
Lack of information regarding the church on location. If you're unfamiliar with religion's this could be startling to you. We arrived in the evening after 9pm and it was not what we were expecting.
Lack of bathroom towels and soap in the bathrooms.

QUITE, GOOD AND GENEROUS FOOD
Lack of parking

The property appears to be monastic guesthouse and is absolutely full of character. Don't expect five star luxury, but the bare rooms, arched walkways, and stunning views all have the most immense charm.
The restaurant looks like nothing special - until the food arrives, which is absolutely excellent - and so dinner time is unsurprisingly popular! What a unique place - and slightly haunting on a thundery night.
Don't miss the beautiful chapel with its famous statue.
It's a trek from town - so book a taxi (they don't wait outside the station) or take the bus. Staff were a bit scatty, but friendly enough!

The service at front desk was very poor.

Location is fantastic, very quiet place and… What a view!
Staff is very nice and the food from restaurant was really good.
We have to understand that the Santuario isn’t by any means a hotel/hostel properly speaking. Rooms aren’t meant to be fancy, beside the gorgeous environment…
While it might fit to people in search of inner peace whom won’t mind a minimalistic room, we didn’t fully enjoyed our stay.
We had a double bedroom with one bathroom, it wasn’t equipped with AC. It would have been nice if one electric fan was provided.
Mattress wasn’t really good, my wife and me ended up having huge back pain in the morning.
There is a parking available nearby reception and on the main road. One last one as the back of the Sanctuario but tricky to access if you have a low ride car.
Breakfast was minimal but ok, croissants are very tasty.
Due to the high season, we paid 340€ for 2 nights (two bedroom accommodation. Not sure about this being the usual price… If it is, this is way too much for what we got.
We didn’t expected a 5 stars hotel at all and we understood the purpose of this place, but a slight little effort would definitely bring up this magnificent place…

The location is good if you're into hiking and wish to spend some time amid nature.
Once you get to new Monterosso town (the first stop on the Cinque Terre tour) you can visit the other 4 villages by train and or by boat.
The rooms are pretty basic (no A/C).
If you wish to visit Monterosso beach / old city, a cab ride is 25 Euros. And a limited number of cab companies that operate too.

Beautiful views and good on site restaurant. Free taxi to town.
No TV or WiFi in room. Room very poky. A long way from Monterosso so stuck there in the evening. Taxi wanted 25 euros to take us back😮!

very nice location up in the hills. Very helpful lady at the reception. Great breakfast and very clean. The hotel provides a shuttle from and to Monterosso.
Unfortunately, it was very loud due to other guests staying at the hotel.
Also, the adjacent restaurant (there is nothing else close by) is quite expensive.
The location is hard to reach, a shuttle can be booked via the hotel.

Had to park on the street, which was uphill from the hotel. Not right at the hotels property.
