breakfast all fresh made to order
every thing is what it says a beautiful Victorian mansion, i loved it, it was homely and beautiful if you like 1900 style with all the ornaments and decor then this is heavenly.. the owner john was very kind and supportive during my stay as i was there dealing with a family bereavement .. he even made the open fire for me i couldn't be more grateful

El estilo arquitectonico de la casa
La cama era muy incomoda, la habitacion no era la misma que la que aparecia en las fotos cuando hicimos la reserva, hacia frio en la casa, no habia jabón mas que un dispensador para las manos
4.3
The location was ok and the room was spacious.
Only one bath towel and one hand towel between two people, shower only run cold, no toiletries in bathroom, no tea and coffee facilities, no plug on bedside lamp, no TV.

Fantastic breakfast. So tasty. John was a magnificent host. Beautiful building full of old-fashioned charm. We had a lovely stay in a comfy bed in a very peaceful setting for a great price
Don’t expect hair dryer, telly or toiletries. This is a guest house, not a B&B. Enjoy being transported back in time.

Breakfast, cooked as we sat at a large table in the kitchen was very good.
Bedroom was enormous, furnished like a stately house with older style furniture.
Bathroom was fine re wash basin and toilet, but the shower was hand held standing or sitting in a large roll top bath. Some form of enclosed shower needed.

A very comfortable experience with a mixture of traditional and luxurious décor. Just a half-hour south of Belfast, it's the ideal location for a work trip in the city, when you want to escape to the countryside in the evening.
The wi-fi was weak, which is to be expected in a rural location.

Nice house

Absolutely amazing house. Kept in traditional style with fantastic gardens. Attention to detail for the deco is outstanding. Couldn't ask for a better host, John, who made us feel so welcome...it was like staying with a friend, with some great stories being told around the kitchen table. Already planning our next stay.

Great breakfast……
That we had to move on….

The garden was absolutely fantastic. The style of the house really suited the age and it was well kept overall. The bed was super comfy and overall it was spotlessly clean (bit of rubbish left in a couple of drawers but that’s not the end of the world). John was super friendly and accommodated whatever we wanted. Can’t fault the breakfast!
Bathroom didn’t close properly

Great value for money. Friendly host!
The only issue was not having any facilities in the room. There weren't any tea and coffee making facilities in the room or glasses in the bathroom. But I did go downstairs and ask for a glass of water which came from the main kitchen. I didn't realise that, so I might have come a bit more prepared with some supplies for the room. No shampo in the bathroom (there was hand soap) BUT the value is so great that I understand why they aren't there. It just might have been helpful to know in advance. The rooms are very comfortable and clean but it really is just the beds and storage for your clothes. There is a TV room downstairs.
Fantastic place and great all round stay. Just come prepared with your own supplies for the room.

Nice house to stay
Bit dark inside the house.

Banoge House was a grand old Victorian home. Very quiet with a lovely garden area. We enjoyed just sitting on the patio area and relaxing. John our host was quite nice and cooked a lovely full Irish breakfast
4.3
Fantastic location, beautiful and comfortable room. Lovely gardens too. Host John was great fun and cooked a mean breakfast. He looked after my sister (adding a secret ingredient to the breakfast menu just for her) and I very well, setting us both up for a great day out at The Game of Thrones Studio Tour. We would definitely stay there again.
Everything was great.

Authentic Ambiance

The breakfast was delicious Freshly cooked to order right in front of us
The place is quaint and with a little attention to detail it would be a huge attraction for people looking for an olde world experience
One of the bedside lights didn’t work and on investigation there was no plug attached to the wire. The sliding bolt on the en-suite was broken
4.3
Breakfast was substantial and very enjoyable.
The location was in a rural setting and surprisingly quiet.
As a big old country house heating is not at the level of modern day properties. The hot water was definitely hot though. The log fire in the reception room was a nice touch on a cold winter’s evening.
4.3
Good breakfast, tasty scrambled eggs and bacon
Slightly grubby bedding, discarded sock under the bed, no glass for water in the shower room, towel shortage ( but that was rectified the second night). Too much clutter.
4.3
John was a friendly and great host. Very comfortable 4 poster bed in a magnificent house which is well furnished. Very competitive price.
