Great, accessible property for family get togethers.
The location is really nicely tucked away in a small group of houses. It was pretty quiet which was great. We were there for a family gathering and the cottage surprised us by having so much space. There's a huge long corridor for all the bedrooms and bathrooms and even a games room with a pool table and table football. The sitting room has lots of comfy sofas and a big TV with access to all the free TV channels. The WiFi was really good and kept the teenagers happy. The kitchen is well appointed and we cooked both nights we were there. My mother uses a frame to get around and the cottage is really accessible. No en-suite but a bathroom right across the hall from their room. The bedrooms all had basins in and the beds were comfortable with nice duvets and towels. We also had two dogs with us. It was so nice to be somewhere that allows dogs too. They loved chasing the kids up and down the log corridor! The communication from the owner was great too and she was really responsive.
There was plenty of hot water but it did take a long time to run it warm in the kitchen. Part of the problem with such a big property I'm sure. It also took us a while to figure out the heating but once that was done and Victoria told us what to do (which was in the guide to be fair) then we were all toasty.

Recommended for large family groups in a remote location to use as a base for touring North Devon
Space. Many rooms, all large enough. Friendly cats came in every night. Remote location and a car is essential. Clean and pleasant kitchen and lounge. Recommended, but only if you have a car
Remoteness. Cockrel early morning alarm clock. No pub or shops in walking distance. Some rooms looked tired. Colour schemes odd in some rooms looked dark.

Spacious
Spacious cottage, clean. Tranquil. Sufficient toiletries. Nice hosts who were usually responsive and available via phone or messaging. They gave us information and suggestions with regards to local area, hikes and sightseeing.
Most of the beds were extremely soft and lumpy. They need replacing. No heating in summer season. The nights can become quite chilli which makes it uncomfortable. However we were able to buy heating per hour for a fee. Wifi didn't connect other than the dining and living room.
