Logement parfait et extrêmement bien situé

Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour chez Muriel à Schoelcher. Son gîte est parfaitement situé et est une bonne base pour visiter l'île. Également Schoelcher que l'on ne trouve sur aucun guide de la Martinique est une ville vraiment très agréable avec 2 belles plages et une vrai vie local (ce qui n'est vraiment pas le cas ailleurs). Le logement de Muriel ou nous avons séjourné est vraiment très propre, bien équipé et nous nous y sommes très bien senti. C'est un bas de villa situé en RDC et d'accès très facile. Muriel est très agréable, arrangeante et avenante. Nous la remercions pour ses conseilles et son aide.

two weeks in paradise

I would like to have such conditions with every longer trip. Comfortable room, well-equipped kitchen and functional bathroom. In addition, there were chairs and a table where we relaxed in the evening and in the morning. The friendly owner deserves a lot of attention, apart from having a good hand in managing, she is also a good person. And she welcomed us with a real mango picked from her own garden. A very big plus for a coffee machine! To the beach, shop and bus stop, we had a maximum of 10 minutes on foot.

Fabulous

The host was very helpful with information on getting around the area, set a up a dolphin tour and introduced me to some of the local attractions. Their were coconut trees in the yard you can pick one and drink the juice. First time I have ever had really fresh coconut juice it was very good. There are beautiful beaches a grocery store, bakery and lots of restaurants all within a reasonable walking distance. Renting a vehicle would be a good idea with a family or if you don’t like to walk. There is lots of parking space available and the area seems very safe. The host speaks pretty good English so it was very easy to communicate which can be a challenge in this area.

Friendly owner

Clean and comfortable. Muriel, the owner is very helpful and friendly. Her little dog and cat came to visit often which was like being at home, they’re very gentle. We didn’t have car but it was easy to walk down the steep hill to the beach and we took a local bus back (they come fairly regularly every half) which stops at the end of the road. Muriel organised a wonderful Dolphin watching boat trip and the guide picked us up at her house and would have taken us back, but we stayed in the port for lunch. To get further afield we used the application Coco which is like Uber and costs much less than an ordinary taxi, again Muriel’s advice! Good internet connection.

Little bit noisy as it’s near a busy road. Would have been nice to have a sun lounger outside.
