The location is beautiful with easy access to the beach and necessities within the village. The view from the room is breathtaking, with a clear view of the forest and ocean. The room itself was spacious and had most of the amenities we needed for our stay. Granny downstairs was very warm and accommodating. We were allowed to check-in early and check-out late. You can book transportation through the host or venue attendant.
The host wasn't there to meet us when we arrived and there was a bit of confusion at check-in as a result. Despite what was advertised, my initial to hire a taxi through the host on the first day was difficult. The host graciously dropped us off himself but we were still very late to an event where we were specially invited guests even though I'd requested transportation two hours beforehand. The beach and village centre are walking distance away but it should be disclosed that the walk back to the apartment is uphill, the stay is not on the beachfront. I would advise guests to rent a car or come with their own vehicle to save time and money.

We visited in the off season so breakfast was not included but there are places close by where you can purchase meals. The wifi worked well and so did the AC plus there is a fan in the room if it was still not cool enough. The Castara beach is a 10 min drive away. You could walk if you are fit and don't mind the blazing sun.
The room was not used in a while so some things were needed. Bruce was very helpful in organising those. The sheets were pretty musty smelling too. Our price was very good so overall we were happy.

Everything except the mattress.
Need new mattresses, back pain for those who have back issues.

If there was anything we didn't like as long as we mentioned it to the staff they took care of it quickly. Always better to talk to the staff first.

Enjoyed the deck and the view had beautiful rainbows and sunsets.
Mr and Mrs Taylor were very nice and also we enjoyed the dogs. The birds were entertaining!
The walk up the hill after enjoying the beach and bars.

This location is quiet. Nice sunset sea view through the trees and the birds that visit the balcony are quite lovely, especially the motmots. If you like walking, visit the cemetery next door and climb the hill for a 360 view. Balconies front and back allow for cross breeze if you leave doors or windows open.
The a/c is appreciated if you are in the room in the middle of the day.
While the room is spacious, a little more TLC is needed before guests arrive. Be prepared to do some trouble shooting re getting TV to work, WIFI, gas stove. Suggest you walk with matches, kitchen towels and any basics that you depend on. The mini-mart down by the beach is well stocked. Recommend that you bring your own beach towel, and bath towel too, if you are fussy.

The location was great. The room was clean and pretty and had all you could need for a nice stay. But i have to say what really sold it was the view. Amazing balcony views that felt even better as you hear the nice tropical rain come in. Would recommend to anyone. The hosts were nothing short of fantastic. Thank you.

Nothing
The place was very dirty, felt very unsafe due to the open windows.

Bruce went out of his way to accommdate us and all our requests. The property was great, the view was great, auto rental was great, the room had everything we needed for our stay. Will definitely visit again.
There should be an outlet on the porch to plug in a fan as it tends to heat up in the afternoon time.
