Le calme, la tranquillité… au cœur de la nature🌿
L’environnement est très humide… et les moustiques sont à la fête 🦟

A beautiful residence with care for details.
Amazing rooms in every possible way.
The view is fantastic and the pool area is really nice!
Take into account this is a remote location and a car is required to get anywhere and takes some time.

Rustic, great view, friendly staff especially Priscilla who went out of her way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. I had some insect bites and she very kindly gave me some cream and spray free of charge. She also arranged bike hire for us.
Small pool for the number of villas and not enough Sun loungers
A bbq facility would have been nice option and Sunloungers in our private garden given the shortage round the pool

Everything was great, super clean, silent, in the middle of nature. The villa decoration was beautiful and one can tell that it was made with a lot of love and attention. Priscila gave us all the attention needed and was really helpful, available to answer all questions.
The only bad experience was at the restaurant where we had dinner one night and the food was tasteless and expensive.

A secluded and quiet place to relax in, away from the busy city life. We stayed at the Nogueira house.
The houses have all the amenities needed for a short or long stay. A beautiful job has been done in recovering the old stone houses and modernizing it, keeping its original charm and architecture, and a mix of countryside themed and quirky decor.
A generous breakfast is served daily, including delicious fresh bread and cake that are left in a cloth bag outside your door (like in the “old days”). There’s also basic staples like fruit, salt, and (locally produced and available to buy at the reception) olive oil. And newly picked flowers everyday!
The pool area is inviting and the salt water pool is cleaned daily. We were the only ones there for the most part.
The restaurant is conveniently located within the premises. The food quality is superior and the staff was amazing in welcoming and guiding us through the menu and wine pairing.
The staff went out of their way to make us fell welcomed, sharing tips of places to visit in the surrounding area, and was always on call for anything we needed.
It was the second time at Villa Pedra and will most definitely return!

THIS PLACE MAKES A UNIQUE HOLIDAY EXPERIENCES. PRECISILIA THE RECEPTION MANAGER WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO MAKE OUR HOLIDAY EVEN MORE THAN THAT AND WAS SO HELPFUL AND ATTENTIVE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The location was stunning, such tranquility and yet so much to see in the area. We came from Comporta, and next stop was Douro valley - villa Pedra did not disappoint at all. We arrived quite late because our rental car had to be exchanged - all restaurants were closed by the time we arrived but the fridge was stocked with local cheese, meats, fresh bread on the table and a bottle of red wine. We ate to the sound of cicadas. For the following nights, the hotel offered
a dinner option which was refined and delicious. It felt like having our own personal chef. There is a pool area surrounded by fruit trees, vine covered granite walls and beautifully maintained lawn which offers a lovely place to relax and cool down from the heat. The pool was immaculate.
I could go on - lovely walking trails through olive groves for miles around…friendly, courteous, professional staff. Best value I have experienced in a very long time.
The air conditioning in our room didn’t work very well. Not a huge problem despite the fact we were there during a heatwave and daytime temperatures were at leat 38c but down to 17 at night…we opened the windows and did not have any trouble with mosquitos. Still, I would suggest that staff please look at the air conditioning which may need to be refilled with refrigerant.

The view, peace and privacy along with the kindness of the Team. CherryTree House provided me everything I could have asked for.

Beautifully situated on top of the hill, Villa Pedra offered boutique stay experience for our family. The property is organically designed to fit in the surrounding nature and history. It was very quiet and restful. The manager, Priscilla, was incredibly helpful and attentive during our entire stay. Our kids had a great time hanging around 2 pigs and many birds. We ordered dinner which was home made and very delicious served right at our house. Overall, it was a great experience!

Beautiful and well equipped house with wonderful views, comfortable bed and good WiFi
Slightly TOO remote

Beautiful house, with a big and well cared outside area and a truly magnificent private swimming pool. The decoration was beautiful, the kitchen fully equipped and the house very comfortable. There are many nice places to visit around using your car or by bike.
The property has 3 bedrooms but 2 are in the main building and the 3rd is outside the building in the same private area. The 2 bedrooms in the main building are very distant one from another with a few stairs in between, so it makes it a bit more difficult to manage if you are traveling with small children.
Otherwise we had a wonderful stay and we would surely stay there again!

A beautiful site for a great rehabilitation project in full harmony and respect of the nature around. Houses decorated with taste, comfortable and well equipped. Diner and breakfast delivered to our doorstep were very good with homemade products. Perfect choice for a relaxing stay in the middle of the quiet nature!
Nothing!

Close to Coimbra, but in a remote location, it's a little corner of paradise. Quaint and well decorated little houses, with special attention to details. Breathtaking view.
When the cleaning service is not included, information should be provided on where to dispose of trash. A recycling point would be great. But the staff were super helpful with this. Some more outdoor furniture would also be nice in the garden. But these are details. The place is dreamy!

Very well looked after again. Thank you to Sara for looking after us so well and to Marta for feeding us so well!

Everything was great! People, housings, place!
Interior with great taste, exterior vintage style and the people were soo nice.
Breakfast and dinner were also marvellous but a little pricey.
