Winchcombe is a quaint little town to explore the cotswolds and the Sudeley Guest Cottge was perfect for our family. Plenty of nature and could hear the castle peacock calling every night. It was nice we had access to the castle during our stay, which is a must on your list

The location is excellent, but the instructions to find the property were poor, so we had to telephone for further details. Parking is good and the cottage is well back from the road, so nice and quiet. Kitchen is well equipped and a welcome pack was provided. Entry to Sudeley castle was included and it's an excellent attraction.
The shower pressure is poor for a property in this price range and lounge furniture could have been a bit more comfortable.

The kitchen was very well prepared with plenty of utensils and cutlery and additional consideration given to tea, coffee, milk etc. The cafetiere was an excellent addition, though we did also try the coffee machine. We appreciated the large tea pot. The BBQ was excellent. The lounge was very pleasant. The beds were comfy and the views were lovely. We enjoyed visiting Sudeley Castle Gardens and walking into Winchcombe
Unfortunately we ran out of hot water on Saturday night and could not find any information to guide us about how to boost the system. We tried to have showers on Saturday night as some of our party had an early start on Sunday morning. At that point the water was tepid so we agreed that as it was an old property it may have an immersion tank system which heated the water overnight. The members of our group who were racing at Prescott set early alarms for showers but we discovered that the hot water was now cold.
I contacted the emergency contact (07824 813379) just after 7 am this morning (Sunday June 20th) and received a response just after 08:30 and he/she had visited the property and sorted the problem by 9am. We noted temporary flickering of the lights, during their visit and wondered if the electrical system had tripped.
The competitors left at 07:45 and we were advised that the water would take a while to heat up. I boiled a kettle and took it up to the back bathroom but the plug doesn't seal in the sink so it made it a bit challenging to have a wash (I didn't have time to fill the bath using heated water from the kettle and stove because we knew that we needed to vacate the building by 10am).
We followed all of the guidance regarding the rules for leaving the property, ensuring that everything was tidy and left by 09:50.

Warm and comfortable property. Plenty of hot water. Great to have castle entry within the deal. Great location for walking and outdoors generally. Prompt friendly response from the estate when assistance needed.

Beautiful place to stay. We would have liked to stay longer..Wonderful English cottage. we stayed in winter and although unfortunately the castle was closed the cottage was warm and welcoming with great books to read. Well presented and clean.
