Best regards from Erik with family
Vi har inget att klaga på!

Delicious Sri Lankan breakfast especially "kolakeda"
2.0

Nice room, nice bathroom, part of the bathroom is open, it's covered in nets but they don't keep everything out so don't leave lights for a long time on or you will attract geckos / flies but that's expected since you're in the jungle. It was a very nice apartment. The workers are very nice and they made the best lime juice I ever drank when we arrived as a welcome gift.
We stayed when it was off-season and I think we were the only guests staying and my only negative would be the pool could be cleaner but it was a super nice setting.

We loved the rooms and the view. The location is stunning in the heart of the jungle and the pool was nice.
We were the only guests and while we understand that this property is trying to get back on its feet post-COVID etc. the meals were a disaster. The first lunch was delicious although it took 2.5 hours to make. The two breakfasts we had were really not good (aside from the fruit and coffee). The skeleton team really showed.

Our stay in Jungle village was amazing. The staff were wonderful. The rooms are huge with a big terrace towards the jungle. There are monkeys and other animals around. Jungle beach is just a short walk away. We walked to Unawatuna every evening through the villages/jungle (approx 25 minutes), which was a beautiful experience.

It was fantastic! Stunning villas in the middle of the jungle! We absolutely loved it! The staff is the best!

Highly recommended! We’ll definitely come back. Thank you!

Extremely nice and helpful staff. It was no problem at all to arrange a late check-out from the hotel and a free stay in the area. Throughout our stay, we enjoyed the kind attention of the receptionist, the manager and the kitchen staff. The food was amazing, the guest's wishes were always fulfilled. The location of the hotel stood out for its jungle originality and extraordinary calmness. The busier town and beaches were accessible by a healthy walk. We enjoyed the end of our colorful vacation before departure.
The central building with the restaurant does not show signs of wear and tear. The hotel is very interesting and deserves more attention from tourists, i.e. more funding for the necessary maintenance and reconstruction. We really support the owner and the staff in their efforts to maintain the necessary level of service.
Greetings to everyone at Jungle Village and we look forward to your eventual return.

A party that started at 6.30 in the morning with horrifically loud house music and nothing the hotel could or would do about it. They did not inform us of this party that was going ahead when we booked, therefore we could not find another place to stay in such a short space of time.

At his own expense, he was taken to the doctor and bought pills.
The day was rainy so I only ate at the hotel that day. I got food poisoning from the tuna I ate for dinner at the hotel restaurant.

We loved EVERYTHING about this place. The pictures don’t render how unique this place is! you truly are in the middle of the jungle, every morning around 7/8 am you could see the monkeys moving around the trees, the room is literally surrounded by nature. But the best part was the staff! Wow! Everyone was absolutely outstanding! Ramil, the porter, the chefs, the waiters, the gardener we had the greatest experience thanks to them.
Everything was perfect!

not exactly walking location to anything, but great if you rent a scooter. there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms!

Staff was great and the room was nice. Food was OK.
View was nice. We saw some monkeys, aboard and few birds around.
noise from the upper room. Some ants in the toilet. No internet at the room

Filling of nature, real jungle, very fresh air. Staff are very friendly people. Perfect omelet for breakfast. Personal cooking if I like something out of menu. Huge thanks for Janith and Ramil, they were doing more than maximum!
Swimming pool and hotel equipment needed more care and renovation. Billiard table missing two balls. No games for children. Pillows are hard, not comfortable.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff were very helpful. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable with special thanks going to Wendy and Umesh. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Una Watuna.

Unique property surrounded by nature
10.0
The location was beautiful with jungle views from the rooms and pool. The rooms were very clean and impressive. Breakfast was a feast we got to see the monkeys finishing off the rest of our fruit! Staff were super accommodating and friendly we felt waited on hand and foot. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

The rooms are large and spacious, and surrounded by lush greenery. You really do feel like you are in a jungle.
The pool area is surrounded by lovely gardens.
Lots of wildlife around; iguanas, monkeys, chameleons, porcupines and wonderful bird life.
Dinner was tasty and very decent sized portions.
There is a generator.
The owner went out of his way to arrange a fantastic dinner and photos at one of his other hotels to celebrate a wedding anniversary, which was superb, and the memory of the night will live on.
The location is very secluded, quiet and peaceful, on top of a hill.
Jungle beach is accessible via a very steep climb which takes about 20 minute to walk, there are no facilities once there (there are a few stalls selling juice and water en route). The beach is beautiful though.
The rooms are not soundproof, if you have a downstairs room you hear everything from the room above; safe opening and closing, ablution activities, foot steps. (I moved to an upstairs room).
The breakfast is cooked to order, with unlimited amounts of fruit, cooked English breakfast and pancakes. While it’s tasty, pretty much everything is served cold, albeit you order on arrival.
The second/kids pool is out of commission.
There are no covered day beds around the pool as shown, only loungers.
Service is decidedly average. It took an hour for 2 cocktails and there was no other guests around.
Some basic maintenance is desperately required; broken stairs, no proper drainage in restaurant washroom basins.
Unwawatuna town is a 10 minute Tuk Tuk ride, and almost impossible to walk as Jungle Village in on top of a hill which even the Tuk Tuks battle to get up.
