A beautifully designed space with an exceptional team leading and taking care of it. I couldn’t have imagined such an authentic and local experience at any other place in this gem of a place called Ayampe. Very thankful to have stayed at Mango House and to have had access to Yoga classes [with one of the best views in all of Ayampe] and common spaces at Vistamar, located a few minutes walk down the road. I stayed at The Loft and most enjoyed the views and private deck. It’s a smaller space than other rooms but cozy and equipped with all one could need.
It’s a bit of a walk to the beach but the view of it is there and wave sounds do reach both Vistamar and Mango house properties

I can't speak too highly of this accommodation which we found to be absolutely superb. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner Matteo who was extremely helpful and informative throughout our stay. The chef was on a fortnights holiday but the owner arranged for someone to provide breakfast during our stay and it was easily the best breakfast we had in our five weeks in Ecuador. The accommodation had a separate sitting room with nice sofas and our bed and shower were both excellent. A large outdoor kitchen and dining space exists with all facilities needed to cook meals. The owner provides a large fridge which is fully stocked with beer and guests are able to take what they want during the stay and pay when leaving. The views from the top deck of the accommodation over the river estuary and beach are breathtaking.

Vistamar Guest House is just one big surprise. The staff, the accommodation, the cook, and after weeks of bad food in Equador had the best breakfasts and dinners here accompanied with the lovely other guests and owners. Plus they provide so many activities. Best place in Equador!
Leaving this place was the worst!

I stayed in a few places while in ayampe and vistamar was my favorite by far. I used booking.com mostly because my Spanish is horrible and it just made me more comfortable. From the moment that I booked til check in time, the staff where extremely accommodating and fast replying through what’s app.
The location is perfect, more “private” location/road than my last spots. Extremely quiet area.
The down stairs shared area is absolutely beautiful. flowers, trees, fresh air, the sound of the ocean is magical. The atmosphere they created on their property is something that Ill never forget.
I stayed on the second floor, absolutely loved my room! comfy bed, hot shower, amazing view.
Although it is a shared hostel experience, I honestly felt like I had the whole place to myself. I will definitely be staying here every time I return to Ecuador.
What is there not to like??

Vistamar is the best! Sad I could only stay three nights as they were fully booked
Too many mosquitos I think because it's in front of stillwater

Lovely staff (especially Paula), very helpful and went above and beyond to help me track my missing luggage. Very nice room, good WiFi and beautiful shared spaces. Wake up with lovely coffee and perfect views!
