Within easy walking distance of the town
4.0
The location was very convenient for the town centre.
Off-road parking was appreciated.
WiFi and heating were good
The bathroom window did not shut therefore it was always cold.
There were no matching glasses / plates. Everything was a jumble of oddments and not always clean.
A bit of TLC is required as this flat doesn't fulfil its potential
4.0
It was spacious and clean and had everything we needed for a night.
Bed was springy and noisy other than that it was great.

Brilliantly placed for walking to town, walking to swimming pool/gym, walking dog locally or driving to further hills to walk.
Really comfy beds, especially the bunk beds.

There are two interrelated safety suggestions:
The motion detector light for flat 3 could be adjusted to turn on "ON" as soon as the door is opened.
The stairs for flat 3 should have a railing.

Location excellent for Buxton centre attractions, and good base for walking tours
An older property with good room sizes and proportions but in need of tlc and maintenance. Cleanliness standards could be better, and how I wish rental properties weren't so often provided with a mish-mash of equipment and furnishings.

Quiet location with parking. Close to town and hill walks. Very spacious and comfortable accommodations.

the property was close to the pavilion where we were exhibiting . spacious and tidy .
bed was very uncomfortable and creaked badly on movement , no wardrobe to hang clothes . lurched well stocked with random China and utensils (utensils draw a mess) oven not clean and oven gloves . waste water bubbled up in the shower when sink was used included some waste ?. Decided to leave and not stay the third night partly because we couldn’t park as all spaces taken and also couldn’t face another night in the bed .

All good.
Good facilities (Double bed bedroom and bunk bed in other bedroom)
Adequate kitchen facilities and living room. Good heating and nice location - close to centre, pavilion park and the train station. Perfect for my stay and needs - solo traveler. Would be great for a family (2 kids)
Thanks

A beautiful spacious apartment ideally located for the opera house with great attention to detail and exceptionally clean.
Everything was well above expectations.

clean, fresh and warm with everything we needed.
nothing to not like.

Size of the property and the furniture. Very good WiFi so I could work.
Steps up to the property are a bit steep, but I got used to it, and I would stay again.

Good location
Well equipped
Better than just a hotel room....home comforts, space to move about.
Good communication from owner.
Needs a cork screw and shower a bit small.

Location
The flat was dark and the noise from the above flat was rather loud which spoiled our stay
The shower was not the best

The apartment were really close by to the town, just a couple of minutes walk. It were well equipped and comfortable and the owners were very helpful. Really enjoyed the stay.

Good location
Toilet seat loose , shower tray fills up quickly, issue with large flies possible dead pidgeon outside bathroom window

Good location, clean, good value for money.
No wardrobe to hang clothes, a little one would do in main bedroom

We loved the central location with just a short walk to all of Buxton’s amenities and restaurants.
Parking was handy and never full.
The lounge was spacious, as was the master bedroom.
The shower flooded very easily (despite following instructions of not using shower and tap at the same time), it swapped between boiling hot and cold and the shower head kept falling off.
Smaller bedroom had mould on the windowsill.
A handrail on the steep steps would be a lot safer.

Perfect location. Nice basic clean apartment.

Property location is excellent
it was a rather dark apartment

Good location. Comfortable bed.
Strong smell of cigar smoke which took 6 days to clear. Plumbing in the bathroom needs attention. Toilet seat slips around. Cutlery and some kitchen items greasy and had to be washed before use. Old food left in kitchen cupboard and freezer door in fridge completely iced up. A lot of noise overhead from foot fall and one night of no sleep until 4am due to what sounded like a party coming from above. Cigarette butts outside front door seemingly dropped from upstairs flat.

Excellent location and fuss free stay

Good location just near to the pavilion gardens and opera house . A quick walk and you are near to everything . Bed was comfy .
Noisy road , but that can't be helped. Basic flat . No wardrobe at all .Had to hang clothes up on hangers on chest of drawers . Boiler in main bedroom.

This apartment is lovely and clean and is very well equipped for a short stay. The location is perfectly situated within a short walk of the train station, town centre, supermarkets, two theatres, the park, a beautiful wildflower garden, and offers easy access the moorlands. My son and I spent a very enjoyable week here.
There wasn't anything I didn't like. If I had to nit-pick, it could do with a few more plug sockets, especially in the bedrooms.

For the price, location to Peak District, space and cleanliness this place is very good. The host messaged after booking with instructions to checking in and they were spot on. The apartment was very clean, my wife is a bit OCD but she had no complaints. The communication from the host was swift and very accommodating.
The kitchen had all the basics we needed, the fridge a definite plus. The sofas were comfortable as were the beds and overall we were very happy.
The big issue we had was the noise from the upstairs TV. As it was quite warm we opened the window and could hear everything being played on the TV which went on till about 1am. Once that stopped we could hear the rushing of trucks and they were very loud from the main road. Understandably these things are out of the control of the host but I think could be reduced by having a fan or two. They would keep the place cool and drown out the background noise but a definite no to opening windows due to noise. Despite this one issue we would be happy to stay again. There are far more positives.

Good location close to center/park
Very spacious and good beds.
A little shabby or charming.
Not super fresh,
But good value for money.

The location was spot on only a couple of minutes from pavilion Gardens which is a beautiful park and the country park which is amazing is 30 minutes away walking. 10 minutes away there’s a Greene King pub, next to the Opera house, that has some great food and drink, and the staff and really pleasant. Overall great place, Buxton is a great location and there’s loads to do.
In terms of the accommodation everything was really good, didn’t stay in much so probably didn’t take full advantage of the place, but had everything you need. There was only one thing that needed addressing and that was a blocked shower drain, kept backing up whilst your in there, but nothing a bit of drain cleaner couldn’t resolve.
