Flew in to Anchorage for a few days before taking the train to Seward for our cruise. This house was in a perfect location and we walked to everywhere we needed other than an Uber to the train. Highly recommend this house.
5.0 / 5.0
Great location with comfortable beds and everything we needed for a few days in Anchorage before heading out camping. Walking distance to the Costal Trail, bike rentals, restaurants, the Anchorage Museum, and shops. The property was clean but could probably use with a little updating soon!
4.0 / 5.0
Overall house was adequate and had everything we needed! Could use some updating. The beds were not very comfortable especially the queen bed was hard as a rock! Good location and walkable to everything in downtown. Off street parking was nice!

Best bakery in town is just across the street. The traffic noise and music were a distractingly loud for us-suburban types but we knew we couldn’t do better financially. No real view from the windows so not sure what qualifies the location as best. Trash can was so small we needed to take it out every hour we were up and about. Closest supermarket is in a sketchy neighborhood. Quick access to all the main roads so getting to local hikes and Costco was easy.

We had a great stay, the house was clean and as described. Six adults stayed in the house and there was plenty of room. If you visit in the summer months bring an eye mask for sleeping. The house was in close enough proximity to walk to town.

We were very comfortable in the house and the location was safe and quiet.

Comfortable, quiet. Easy access to scenic trail and downtown restaurants.

Our group of six had a great visit in Anchorage at Coastal Place. The home is well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen is one of the best stocked with equipment and basics of any home we’ve rented. The location is perfect, walking distance to bike rentals, all of downtown, the coastal trail, a food market, etc.

The house was clean and well kept. It has all of the amenities needed and everything was functional. The location is close to downtown. It was quiet and we didn't have any issues with traffic or city noise. The house could probably do with some updating but it was a pleasant stay for our time in Anchorage. Communications with the owner was excellent. There were no issues and we enjoyed our visit.

As a person who uses VRBO, I always worry about the place and if the pictures are valid. For this place, they definitely were. First, I would like to say that the place is wonderful. It was completely stocked with all the necessities that one would need for an extended time. The beds were VERY comfortable. Everyone in our group (ranging from ages 9-73) made a comment about it. The bathrooms even had some toiletries (like a toothbrush) included. The place was also very clean. The shades were also darkening so even though we only had a few hours of dark, the rooms were easy to fall asleep in.
Another thing I always worry about is location. This location is AMAZING! You are a block from the ocean and a block from the heart of the city. If you want to see Anchorage and be able to walk it, this is perfect. There is also a bakery right across the street that is also amazing. This area is also completely safe (though I did not see any area in the downtown area that wasn't).
In addition, the owners were very responsive. Any time I asked a question, they were quick to respond. We never had any problems while we were there.
I can't reiterate how nice this place was. We stayed for a few days before we left for a cruise and were not disappointed that we made that decision. Much nicer than staying at a hotel (and actually a lot less expensive).

We loved walking the Coastal Trail and saw sandhill cranes and moose. It’s an easy walk to numerous restaurants in town. The home is spacious and can accommodate a family easily. Plenty of parking and a most comfortable home! I love the large windows that let the sunshine in and great shades for night sleeping! Love it!

The location, the soft comforters and pillows, generous kitchen, and intentional aesthetics made our winter stay in side town Anchorage so comfortable.

The home is located in a very convenient location for walking to all the downtown shops and restaurants. It’s also very close to the Coastal Trail.
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.
Our host was great and the home was lovely.

Checking in and check out was easy. The property is in an excellent location where you can walk to tons of shops, restaurants, and breweries, but it's off the road enough that it's quiet and cozy. The house had everything we needed and was perfect for two couples and a 12 year old. The property owners were very quick to answer questions and helped us get the fireplace started when we couldn't figure it out. I can't say enough positive things about this place, I would highly recommend staying here!

House was clean and tidy and well positioned to stroll along the coastal walk and a decent walk to downtown. Very near the Crows Nest Restaurant. And we recommend this place if you stay here. Well furnished and great parking right outside the house.

A lovely house in a great location downtown, with parking in a garage. The house was as advertised and had all the amenities you needed. The only thing they need to add is a grille.

Great Home in Perfect Location
We had a great stay for the two nights we were in Anchorage at the end of our Alaska vacation. The property is well-located such that we could walk all over downtown for food, seeing the sights and was an easy walk to the railway station. The home itself is really well-appointed with a fantastic kitchen (including breakfast items) and a laundry room that we were so grateful to have access to after almost a week in fishing lodges! The owners/property managers were so helpful and responded right away when we got in early and needed a place to stash our luggage prior to check-in. And, be sure to checkout their restaurant recommendations…we went to both 49th State Brewery and Simon & Seaforts, and they both were excellent! We couldn’t have asked for a better property and would for sure stay here again if we find ourselves in Anchorage again.

Great spot for a family or group of friends
Super convenient location - minutes to the airport and a great base camp location for day trips and also close to downtown bars and restaurants. We were able to spread out when we needed to and also get together at the kitchen table for games. Great master suite! Very clean and well maintained.

Great location
The property is nice with one exception. The downstairs bedroom has no place to unpack clothes except the closet. The bed is horrid and the bathroom has a pedestal sink so no where to put your "things" . Would be fine for a family (with the exception of the bed) but was not a great setup for 2 couples.

Girls trip 50th Birthday weekend
This property is beautiful and the best location. We walked everywhere. It was perfect! We had a bit of a problem with the key code checking in but the host fixed it quickly. The fridge was not clean but other than that the house was clean and no smells! We even left a blanket and had no trouble getting it back! We traveled from out of town and asked to check in a bit early and property manager definitely tried to help. Highly recommend:)

Firefighters invade anchorage
We’re a group of firefighters from around the country on our way to instruct Valdez fire dept, to become better at searching for victims…. Having a place close to town and the airport was essential since we all came in from different parts of the country. It was a very good landing pad, clean and well stocked and plenty of comfortable beds.
I do wish there was an outside bbq space to hang out and enjoy the yard.

Great location
This house was in a great location - 5 minute walk to some great restaurants, 10 min walk to the heart of town. 5 min walk to Tony Knowles trail. The house itself was very clean, cozy, and comfortable with plenty of space to relax , and to eat together. Would highly recommend. Beds very comfortable.

Wonderful gem close to downtown but quiet!
Great spot, wonderful beds and bedding, full kitchen and plenty of room to hang with friends! Tucked in to trees yet great views of downtown and Chugach Mountains (weather permitting, luckily we got sunshine :) )

Great location to anchorage.
Was a fantastic house to have a gourmet meal with friends. Easy walk to downtown anchorage. Plenty of room for a group of 8. We would highly recommend staying! Thank you for opening your home to us!

Cozy and comfortable
This place was perfect for my husband and me plus our daughter, son-in-law and three-year-old granddaughter. We even had an extra bedroom available making the house comfortable for seven people, easily. It's conveniently located only 12 minutes from the airport and within walking distance of downtown Anchorage with a park only two blocks away. We were glad to be able to park our car in the heated garage so we wouldn't have to scrape snow every time we went somewhere. We will look forward to staying here again the next time we visit Anchorage.
