Excellent location close to the centre of Bakewell & with parking. The Stables was lovely & cosy when we arrived which was lovely since the weather wasn’t so good. The property is spotless clean & modern & the wood burner was very nice. The bed was very comfortable & generally I thought they had made great use of the space. We would not hesitate to stop here again.
If I’m being really picky just a couple of things would make it absolutely perfect.
The towels are flat & small (could do with some lovely big fluffy ones) I brought my own as I had seen a comment about them.
The nespresso machine could have done with instructions as I wasn’t familiar with it & had no idea what the different colour capsule’s were.
Maybe a small welcome pack eg milk.
There is noise from the road but what do you expect so close to Bakewell & it didn’t really bother us but there is a street lamp right outside the bedroom so a blackout blind might be an idea at some point it.
These are all little things that wouldn’t in any way stop me from coming back but would just enhance our stay even more.

The location was perfect! We loved being able to walk into town throughout the day. The space also had everything we needed for our stay. Our kids loved all of the games in the living room. The rooms were comfortable and everything was very clean.
Nothing, it was great!

Beautiful inside and out right in the centre of Bakewell
It was a little noisy at night with all the cars driving past our bedroom windows

Well presented, warm and cosy. Had all the facilities we needed and the beds were comfortable. Log fire and underfloor heating were perfect for the time of year. The location was excellent with the centre of Bakewell on our doorstep. Our host James was incredibly helpful and made sure we had everything we needed.

Super location and beautiful cottage. Only issue was noise at night as the bedrooms are right in the road
As above

Excellent location, bful decor and very well equipped place. Has everything you'd typically need except a few things noted below.
- Get very stuffy & uncomfortable as there's a lack of ventilation. Directly on main road so can't open windows.
- No shower gel or shampoo provided. On asking I was told we need to get ours - not a big deal but good to be told earlier.
- can't keep bags anytime after the checkout at 10. Need to look for some other place to deposit.

Was very noisy at night with traffic.

The property is in a great location, a stones throw from Bakewell town centre. Off road parking available.
Being near the town leading of the town centre, both nights we were woken with some sort of commotion at night.

We used the Stables for 2 nights to celebrate our wedding. My now wife stayed over one night with our girls before the next night we were reunited as a family to celebrate our marriage.
The rooms were beautiful, especially the main bedroom upstairs. The twin room as great and the sofa bed was easy to use.
The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was superb. Especially with the underfloor heating.
Nothing of note. A garden with the property would be a nice touch in the summer but in March it wasnt a problem

Clean, tidy, had everything you would need for a break away.
it’s on a busy road…. so road noise was a bit of a issue.

We didn’t stay long enough!

The location was superb and the property extremely clean and well presented.
The second bedroom had 2 single beds which didn’t have the option to be linked or even put together by re -situating the chest of drawers along the side wall.
This would make sleeping arrangements more versatile, to suit all potential visitors.

- Great location
- Good TV/entertainment system and comfortable, homely lounge area
- Well equipped kitchen
- Not the cleanest on arrival - dust in draws and large cobwebs on ceiling in main, upstairs bedroom
- Downstairs spare bedroom smells strongly of damp (fortunately didn't have to use it)
- Strong smell of sewage from small utility room (fine if the door is kept shut, but still...)
- No matches or lighter for log burner
- listed as having a 'Whirlpool bath'... It hasn't.
- carpet is in dire need of replacing
- As stated by many, traffic is noisy but the price to be paid for staying so close to centre of town I guess.

Gorgeous property, well appointed, perfect base in centre of Bakewell, close to all the amenities. Great to have the parking.
Some road noise, but it didn't cause us any real disturbance.

It is a beautiful cottage - spotlessly clean and near to the centre of Bakewell.
On our first evening we reported that the sink tap in the open plan kitchen was squealing loudly every time water was used in the bathroom. We were told the plumber would attend the next day - we left after 4 nights and nothing had been done to resolve the issue. Very disappointing.

The accommodation was really close to the centre and it was great to have a parking spot. The house was quite modern and very comfortable.
Being able to open a window upstairs would have been great.
