About this chalet rental
5 Bedroom 3 bath Chalet with loft sleeps 16 with 10 ( bed linens are not provided, Please bring your own. Comforters, Pillows are provided ) Property sits on 9 acres with a private 2 acre lake with a dock and canoe. Two bedrooms on the 1st floor have 40" led tv's, one bedroom has a queen size bed and the other bedroom has 2 twin XL Bunk Beds. The master bedroom on the 2nd floor has a 65" led tv with a king size bed and own private bathroom. The loft also has a 40" tv with a pull out bed for 2. On the lower level there are 2 additional bedrooms with a full bath, shower stall. One bedroom has 2 queen bunk beds and the other room has a king bed. All TV's are smart TV's with the capability to stream your your favorite TV shows, satellite internet as well ( WIFI ). On the first floor there is a wood burning stove and a gas log fireplace, ( AC as well ) with 2 sofas. Kitchen has all up dated appliances. Washer and dryer on the first floor. All bed linings supplied if you desire or can bring your own. A mountain setting with all the amenities from home. 1/2 mile from State game lands. Ski, snowboard, swim, hunt, fish, hike, kayak, bike, or spectate at a world-class racetrack!
Wrap around deck with seating over looking the lake. Amazing bird watching. There have been a few bald eagles that visit the lake time to time. A great Pocono vacation stay.

This is our second time staying at this “lake house”. It’s in a great location with its own lake. The kitchen was updated and the lower level/basement seemed to be pretty new which was great. WIFI is spotty but that’s to be expected when you’re in the woods that also made my kids stay outside most of the time, which I didn’t mind. My kids were fishing pretty much every day even in the 90 degree heat. There are ample fish in the lake plus a few surprises as my son caught a 5lb large mouth. We had a few issues with the AC and batteries missing in remotes which i contacted the owner about. Very prompt responses which was refreshing. Overall, we had a great time and my kids can’t wait to go back. Thank you!

Our stay was great, could not get any of the TV to work . A pile of wires in corner, said it all. Everything else was perfect and comfortable!!! We all enjoyed the stay very much. Decorated nicely. Could use a ping pong table or pool table. 😍

Beautiful house on a beautiful piece of land. My family of 13, from 5 years old to 83 years old had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving. We enjoyed the spacious and comfortable house and loved exploring the pond and property.

The house is great, location lovely. We had a wonderful time despite the drawbacks. Drawbacks: 4 rails missing on upper deck railing... very dangerous for small children! Master bedroom windows wide open when we arrived and were stuck open the entire time. Air conditioner in master bedroom broke two days into trip; thankfully that's when the hot weather stopped! Air conditioner in a downstairs bedroom iced over and leaked. Paddle boat sunk and in bad shape; obviously has been that way for awhile, so we only had one boat instead of the promised two. Tried to contact owner, which was difficult since VRBO's system did not deliver some of the time, would not allow me to send my cell # to him so we could communicate via text. Owners response to sunk boat: "its a shame that renters don't respect our property"... (not my problem!! House was advertised to have two boats!) Owners response to windows stuck open in master bedroom: "Maybe you can removed screens and pull the windows closed"... (this would have involved moving the king sized bed to get to the window and hanging out of a 2nd story window to try to fix). Also, "Private Lake" is not accurate. Its more of a pond, and there is another house just across the pond, where there was a party with VERY loud music on Saturday night. Thankfully, they were gone by Sunday. We just gave up on trying to get anything fixed while we were there, and enjoyed the rest of our trip. Fishing great, pond lovely, house clean.

We were very disappointed to find that the bottom floor was blocked off, which included another bathroom and more bedrooms, even though those spaces were included in the listing. We only had available to us 2 bathrooms, 1 room with 2 twin bunks, 1 room with a Queen, 1 room with a king, and the loft. In addition, there was nowhere to put trash outside, and the animals picked through it, leaving a mess. There were some plumbing issues, as well (backed up drain), which we fixed ourselves. Donald was responsive on the last 2 issues, but these were things we needed to attend to which we didn't expect. We would have appreciated a heads-up about bringing our own garbage bags.
Other than these things, it was a nice space, but we would probably not stay there again.

My family and I had a great time on our 3-night stay. I easily reached the owner when I had difficulty entering the door (I was at the wrong door haha). We very much enjoyed the canoe and paddleboat. The kitchen was freshly renovated and furnished with everything we needed to prepare large group meals. The cottage offers the best of both worlds: a rustic feel but with modern benefits (a/c, TV’s in every room, bathroom vents, updated appliances). I pile definitely return.

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here. Perfect cabin in the woods with a nice pond. Has everything you need for a great stay. Only problem was I tried everything and couldn’t figure out the gas fireplace, but it didn’t really matter. I would not hesitate to book this place again.

Excellent place to stay
We had a great stay at Don's place. It has all the amenities you need. The pond was pretty low due to the drought, so we didn't go swimming, but we did take the canoe out a couple times. Great value for the price!

Three generation family summer vacation
A rustic secluded cabin with beautiful hardwood floors and comfortable furnishings. There were five adults and two children in our group and the cabin was a good size for us. It was well equipped and though there were a few things we couldn't figure out, there was nothing that marred our stay. We made good use of the canoe and my son-in-law enjoyed fishing off of the paddle boat. The fish were literally jumping onto our granddaughters fishing hooks. The eight year old caught over 20 fish. All catch and release. We all also enjoyed just feeding the fish and taking turns paddling around the Island. We saw many deer around the area.
FYI: Cellphone coverage was a little spotty and the average distance to stores and restaurants was 20 minutes. One thing that I would suggest, something I found useful at a previous VRBO rental, is a notebook of house information and local directions and suggestions. Example: we have no idea where the washer and dryer was, how to turn on the ceiling light/fan in the Queen size bedroom or how to use the upstairs loft TV. I suspect the problem was possibly missing remotes or just not figuring out which went to what. We visited a few nice waterfalls while in the area and that was very nice. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.

Perfect location and beautiful house
This property was the perfect location for what we were looking for. Secluded and private except for a house across the pond but they were nice people. The house itself is very nice inside and out and has more then enough space for everyone. Overall a great and relaxing stay and we have talked about renting here again in the future.

Great getaway
Guys getaway for an upcoming wedding. House was spacious and clean with tons of natural lighting. Located perfectly off the beaten path. Got some fishing in on the dock and the available canoe. Would definitely stay here again

Pocono Family Ski Trip to Camelback Ski Resort
Our family really enjoyed our stay at this property. Located 9.8 miles from Camelback Ski Resort and 19 miles from Shawnee Ski Resort. We also celebrated my daughters birthday at the Pourhouse in Cresco PA.

We enjoyed our stay, wish we could of stayed longer. It was nice waking up to seeing deer crossing the lake. We are considering visiting in the summer. The stairs to the loft are steep and slippery, be careful.

Beautiful Christmas Stay
Had family come together from NY, OR and NC for Christmas and couldn’t have had a better spot. Property was clean and beautiful, best stocked kitchen of any rental we’ve stayed at. All the beds were comfortable and the house itself is spacious yet cozy. It’s close to so much hiking and a short drive to a ton of grocers and other stores while still being perfectly secluded. We got snow on Christmas Eve which made the frozen lake even more of a sight. Owner’s responses were prompt and friendly. Was missing a broom and only had a keurig but we grabbed a broom and coffee pot in town and left them for the next to use. Def recommend this amazing spot

Lovely property with beautiful view. Kitchen required cleaning with products purchased by us. Pots/pans dirty, silverware nasty, plates crusty and all were in cabinets. Drops of hand soap left in bathroom- we had to purchase this and toilet paper as we required more than the 2 rolls available. Gas fireplace didn’t work and the wood stove had no instructions. We had no phone service- all on at&t. We were billed for cleaning service that may have not have been completed prior to our arrival.(owner allowd early arrival). It is near two weeks past our stay and still have not been refunded the deposit. I have sent 3 messages to owner and all have gone unanswered. If you stay here print the instructions and bring kitchen cleaning supplies, hand soap, and tp. There are no in home instructions but I strongly suggest the owner create a nice book for all guests to have. Sadly This was not a positive experience. Also, for the record, having to write this with negativity adds to my stress of the experience.

Most EPIC adventure!
This hideaway makes you feel like you are in a treehouse! Built beautifuly into its natural surrounding with not only a private lake, but also a small private island to explore! It is very quiet and very cozy. The internet works just fine and thats coming from someone who had 9 children using it constantly. The location is perfectly in the middle of so many opportunities and the area is breathtaking. The owner is great with responding and very attentive to the property. There was a branch down by the driveway when we arrived and it was gone the next morning. I highly recommend this property!

Weekend Getaways
The house is Beautiful- Very Relaxing- large with plenty of sleeping space - beds a bit hard - the a/c tubes in the windows we needed to cover up cause bugs we’re coming in. Frig not very cold an first night we arrived in the dark had to walk to house cause very large tree branch had fallen over which next day we moved some of the branches to get our cars in branch was too heavy to lift but in air after moving branches we could get our cars in. Did find glass on the floor besides the driveway an having to walk my 83 yr old mom in the dark it all worked out. Would love to see what it is like in the fall.
