Hotel sits on edge of jungle 20 meters above ocean. No walkways are available to walk, Beach is tidal--often under water. When beach is accessible, grey sand is hard as concrete. Very isolated. No bathroom in any rooms. Many broken stairs replaced by uneven placement--thus climbing to room or meals is tricky
The 30 year old Argentinean woman who runs this place is professionally polished thief. Boat transport for all other lodges is included in room cost, Here she charged more than $350US (which is way, way more than boatman charges lodge). She also charged for activities NOT taken by me. The total bill on extras at checkout was over $500!!!! Nothing was said about any of this before check-in. So we went to Nuqui police and spent 2 hours. (And police speak NO English and I just a little Spanish.) When I exited police dept after 2pm, all boat trips to my lodge were over for day. All flights out to elsewhere were ended. So I was stuck.

One of the most beautiful places I’ve been to. The views from the room were insane. Local people at the lodge were extremely friendly.
The boat service offered by the hostel for commuting from Nuqui is very expensive and we noticed that the price was different for every group of guests. We found a way more affordable option to get there but the hostess was kind of upset with us for finding a cheaper alternative. At the check out we saw her arguing with the captain for offering his services to us and even saying that we were no longer going come with him. Colombia is cheap country and Chocó is even cheaper, so $275.000 COP for a 1 hour boat ride is crazy. The person who helped us moving from and back to Nuqui charged us $130.000 cop per person, which makes more sense.

The trip to Termales was great and the whale watching too.
Beautiful view from the room
Nice "private" beach
Delicious food
Friendly and helpful hosts
Small lodge, not many other guests
The owners care about the environment. We loved that its no masstourism there.
I can definitely recommend it.
It's rather expensive. Plus: You need an extra 550 COP per person to get to the lodge and back to the airport. (But its also a 1,5 hours boat drive so the price is probably fair.)
The lodge is simple but nice but don't come here if you expect luxury.

This is really a beautiful place - This is real paradise here. its possible to watch the whales from the balcony, lots of hammocks, private beach, beautiful garden surrounded by nature and lots of activities. Hummingbirds buzz around all day long. 3 times a day there is delicious food. I was able to really relax in the 2 nights.
The price with transfer is very high, but lets say definitely worth for this experience.
I would recommend to have a power bank with you - electricity is only available for a limited time in the evenings

Amazing place
Do not expect luxury in such a remote place. But for the location comfort is absolutely fine.
