Property is exceptional. Well kept and cozy, but with a modern twist. Hosts are amazing!! Very attentive. Easy access to multiple destinations; whether it’s a grocery store, distillery or by the water. Highly recommended not only for adults but for families. Multiple activities on property for children. Thank you to Tim and Lynn!!

Everything worked out great for us. The wedding we attended was just down the road and we had plenty of space to hang out and relax between events. The history of this place is great.
Thanks!

Loved the house, history, location and Tim came to meet us when we were sitting on porch. . Friendly and told us more history. Enjoyable trip. We saw deer on the mornings and beautiful sunrise each day. Neat decor. Also. Rated 5 stars.

This is a an inspiring home that we found perfect for a vacation in Kentucky. It is very well located for access to the Bourbon Trail and many other sites in Kentucky. The home is at the top of a hill on a large plot of land with wonderful views in all directions. We enjoyed seeing horses graze and many deer early in the morning with fawns. The expansive covered deck on this property is truly awesome and so relaxing - we spent a large amount of time on the deck. The hosts were absolutely terrific. They checked in with us early and in a timely manner, and also checked if we needed anything during our visit. They are wonderful hosts that have thoughtfully placed very nice sitting areas around the large property. The historic home has a lot of character with exposed beam walls in many rooms and every room has fun interesting things to see and enjoy. The home is very comfortable and very well stocked. We plan to return soon!

This cabin sits in the middle of paradise. It’s located in a multi acre subdivision but it doesn’t feel like it. You are greeted by deer in the morning and dusk. The porch swing is wonderful to enjoy the evening breeze.
I was raised in the country so it’s heaven to me. The home is a renovated cabin home that has had additions added throughout the years. I love how they brought most of the original logs back to life. If you don’t like rustic touches or the genuine historic feel of a farm/log home then this location isn’t for you.
I wanted to stay longer just to relax and wished I had reserved a longer time.
Thanks Tim for your true hospitality.

This was the perfect place for our big family! Mr & Mrs Story are the most kind & gracious hosts! To the extent of stopping by during their morning horse ride and giving our kids and grandkids rides on their horses!
The cabin is awesome! Big and spacious with everything we needed. The setting is picturesque and the beautiful yard with all its play areas, hammock, tire swing, fire pits, etc was very much enjoyed by all of us! And was the perfect place for our Easter egg hunt! The memories we made here will be treasured always.
Our son and daughter in law attend Seminary School in Louisville, we will definitely stay here again the next time we come to visit them!

The cabin was everything that I had hoped it would be. The adults all enjoyed our stay but the 2 1/2 year old grandson was in awe of so many things. I heard him gasp with surprise and joy when he saw the kids bedroom decorated with Toy Story characters, when he saw the outdoor play area, then again when the neighboring horses came up to the fence so we could see them. Tim and Lynn are lovely down to earth people who are quite friendly and accommodating. I will definitely look into going back in the future!

Property owners were very communicative and helpful. The cabin and location are very picturesque and "rural Kentucky" feel without being too far away from town. A nice little place with an old cabin feel.

This beautiful cabin has historic charm with all the amenities. The owners thought of everything. You can arrive and enjoy. There is plenty of space for family and is also great for just a few (we were 3 adult siblings). Views are amazing. Location is perfect - outside of town but close enough to enjoy all Louisville has to offer. The only thing better would be the flexiblity to stay longer. Tim and Lynn were great hosts - thank you so much. We will definitely return!

Enjoy a quiet cabin in the woods feel with modern accommodations! This was our second year staying at this wonderful cabin and we are already booked for next year! I can not speak more highly of this home! This is a fantastic property with amenities for young and old! The children have their own playground to keep entertained! Thwre is plenty of games and activities provided inside and outside. The property is well maintained and cared for! The property owners are fantastic! We are fortunate to have developed a friendship with these wonderful people! Can’t wait to stay again next year! :)

I chose this property specifically for the two kids play sets outside, I didn’t realize how much more the property had to offer! Our stay was simply amazing for our family of 7! My three older children (6,4,2) enjoyed everything the property has to offer for children- which is a lot! So many toys, books, a special bunk room, yard games, horses, etc! We sat out on the porch and the kids played til dark every night! It was so peaceful! The cabin itself is amazing due to its history and the restoration (while keeping it dated). Bottom line, if you’re looking to relax, enjoy the countryside and unwind, this is where you want to stay! Lyn and Tim are the most generous hosts, you will not be disappointed! The cabin was located near the city but also far enough away. We explored the small towns around it and found some neat things! I have a pretty good feeling we will be back :)

We highly enjoyed our stay everything was in proper working order and clean. We loved the cabin and its rustic surroundings which made our relaxation and bonding a huge success. The management was more that polite and available for needed information and hospitality. Thanks again,Tim for making our memories lasting...

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin; it's far more amazing than pictures can convey. The kids loved the swing set, wagon, and chest of toys in the kids room. Everyone loved feeding the hosts' horses and watching them graze from the very comfortable furniture on the front porch. It was the perfect distance from attractions, restaurants and stores. The hosts were very hospitable and gave excellent recommendations. This has been my family's favorite rental house to date (and we've stayed at many). I highly recommend this property, especially if you have children.

Definitely recommend! We've stayed with VRBO a few times now and this place was by far our favorite. Our daughter fell in love with the Toy Story/Western theme of the kid's room, and is still talking about it. The hosts were very accommodating, and even let her pet the horses.
If you're visiting Louisville or the region, I cannot recommend this place enough for your stay.

We had a terrific time at Tim and Lyn's Cabin for Derby weekend. Tim and Lyn were extremely welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure that our stay went smooth. The cabin was spotless and has everything you could ever need. The 3 horses at the property are gorgeous and very friendly; everyone loved feeding Titan the most :) The grounds are stunning and we are very lucky to have had the opportunity to stay at this little slice of heaven. We hope to be back some time in the future!

Everything was perfect. The cabin is historical yet very comfortable. The fireplace was great for the rainy nights, and the outdoor spaces were great for the kids when the sun was out. Tim was just great about staying in touch and we used more than one of his numerous dining/to do recommendations. Everyone in our party agreed we would definitely book this again. Thanks, Tim!

Our family really enjoyed staying in this unique log house property. Lots of history with all the creature comforts of modern times. The kids loved the cowboy themed bunk room filled with fun toys. The location was great for exploring nature and yet still close to lots of restaurants and museums in town.

We booked this home for a long weekend with friends and family on the bourbon trail. The home was exactly what we were looking for with its Kentucky charm and rustic cabin feel. Perfectly located close to all the distilleries we had on our list to visit while remote enough to enjoy nature. Enjoy the outdoor fire, sit on the deck with a glass of bourbon and cigar, or cozy up next to one of the fire places indoors. The home was beautifully decorated and had everything we could have wanted or needed during our stay. The owners are very friendly, attentive and accommodating with any questions or needs we had. 5/5* home! Would highly recommend and visit again!

We have rented several times with Vrbo and I have to say that this was the best experience we’ve had. The owner actually greeted us when we arrived and offered to assist with anything if we needed anything, then communicated with us every day of our stay just to sure we were okay.
For anyone looking for a quiet getaway and likes a little history this place is excellent we will definitely be back!

Came to Kentucky to enjoy some fine whiskey. The house was large enough for all of us the spread out and feel comfortable. Would recommend this place and the host!

This cabin deserves more than 5 stars. It's so beautifully decorated. Every day we saw something new. It's in a quiet neighborhood. The beds are comfortable to sleep in. I loved visiting with the owners horses. The owners were so nice and readily accessible to help with anything you might need. There's so many activities one could do outside. We just enjoyed sitting on the porch in the beautiful swings admiring the views. The stagecoach in the yard was a hit with us too. The only suggestion I could make is if there could be either one made or a portable one handy, for a ramp to go onto the porch for people in wheelchairs and walkers. Once inside the first floor is handicap accessible, although there is a small step up into the kitchen. We would most definitely stay here again on our next trip back to Kentucky.

The Storys are tremendous hosts. The cabin is huge with tons of character. I spent a lot of time looking at the pictures and decor. The 2 horses are beautiful and love to be rubbed. We had fires every night and watched the story. You will not be disappointed!
