I couldn't even get into my room, ended up having to go to another hotel because the door code wouldn't work. This place seems like a scam - there's no person to speak to at the property, you have to do everything via email and text to their offices in San Francisco. The check in process is bizarre, they require you to send multiple selfies of yourself in different poses to some app as well as all types of information I've never been asked to provide when checking into a hotel normally. We had trouble with the process and we're stuck in the parking garage at 9 at night for about an hour trying to figure out how to get the door code, when we finally got it it didn't work so we couldn't get to our room. Quite possibly if we had more time we could have spent more time on the phone with tech support trying to figure out the problem, but at that point the kids were tired and had to get to sleep so we just checked into a hotel down the street. The most bizarre part about it was that they wouldn't give me a refund even though I caould not get into my room, for all I know they can just keep giving out false codes and locking people out and telling them "hey it's your fault"and keeping their money. Very strange experience.

The building that Kasa is located in is very beautiful. It had a nice lobby space (though it always smelled of chemicals) and a nice community room with coffee and space to work.
This is advertised as a four-star hotel but it is actually more like an air bnb, which I found very misleading. The suite I received was on the first floor and had huge windows that opened right to the foot traffic of a busy downtown street as well as was in the back hallway of the building by all the staff rooms where there was just traffic and clamoring all hours of the night. I could not open the curtains or get in any light. The furniture and whole set up was mediocre- very uncomfortable bed, and not a super clean space. I booked for four nights and only found out when I arrived that there's no housekeeping unless you request it ahead of time (again- NOT a hotel) by filling out an online request form. Please read the faq's for this place carefully. I had an awful experience. The worst part was that I called several times and was told they would "try" to move me to a different room. How do you try? You know that you are booked up or that you're not. So finally on my second day there and 3rd call in, I asked the representative- can you see if there are other rooms available or not-she looked and said unfortunately, no, that during my stay there were no other rooms. I left that night for another ACTUAL hotel that was 3-stars and more luxurious in every way! Then, I didn't get any reimbursement because they claimed that they were going to move me to another room but that I didn't answer their phone call! After I was literally told that that was not an option on the phone. I am beyond frustrated and I hope this review helps people just choose another spot. There are so many hotels in the surrounding area so just save yourself the trouble.

It was spacious and a very secure building. It was handy to have laundry facilities too. $7 uber rides to just about anywhere! The online portal system made it easy to have all the info at your fingertips.
The bed sagged a little but that wasn't a big deal.

Everything pretty much exceed expectations great stay overall!
Kitchen sink was giving off a smell I think guest before us improperly disposed something, but after a few days of using the sink the smell went away

The location was good
This is not a hotel. This is an apartment complex and one of the rooms is being rented to you. There is no front desk, no staff, no breakfast, no cleaners, no amenities. It's noisy and you cannot open your curtains because you are on the street level. You can hear people coming in the front doors all night. My key fob wasn't working and I had to rely on other tenants to let me in. This is not what I was expecting.

Very nice room. The concierge was very friendly and helpful. The work/meeting spaces were useful as some of my colleagues were also at the KASA and we could meet there.

The room was really nice and the location was perfect. We didn't have to drive no where everything was walking distance
Parking was expensive

The facility and location was great. At the location we did not have hot water. We alerted Kasa and the facility but it was not resolved for our short stay
The other problem was the disconnect between booking.com and Kasa. I updated my reservation on booking.com and it was confirmed on the app after they confirmed with the facility. Separately via email the facility denied the change but I never saw that email.
We arrived expecting a 2 bedroom unit in a fully booked city for one night for 3 adults and were put in my original one bedroom unit that had one bed and no couch or sleeper.
I was also charged for the upgrade but received a subsequent email that the price difference would be refunded. It still did not make up for the extreme inconvenience.
My reservation on the app still says I had a 2 bedroom but I was provided only the one bed. These were coworkers. Not family or friends that I expected to share a bed with much less a bedroom.
So we shared the awkward one bed and woke up to cold showers.
Not great.
The messed up reservation and not having hot water

This place was beautiful, clean, private, and a nice location.
Excellent value for last minute booking and great amenities as well.
My coworkers who stayed in hotel across the street were jealous :)
Unfortunately construction noise across the street began around 7:30 AM.
Conflicting messaging on parking, but they made it right after checkout.
Initial instructions on how to access the building were not clear.

I loved the room. The bed was super comfortable and so we're the pillows. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed.
I didn't like that there was no instructions on how to get into the building, just the room.

Due to the photos of the studio and one bedroom jumbled together on booking.com. We thought we booked a room with a full kitchen which I needed for medical reasons. When we arrived, we realized the studio only had a microwave. The studio was small, very DARK, if you pulled up the shade you were in street level. We notified the management company. They were so lovely. The one bedroom was available, and they let us switch rooms. The one bedroom had a full kitchen, living room, bedroom with a lovely view of the city from the 14th floor. So thankful they were extremely helpful!!
We never received a parking permit for the attached parking garage, so we were fearful of being towed. Every day they said it was going to be delivered, but it never was.

Location was excellent. Also loved the fast internet and having laundry available.
Reception desk could be more welcoming. She appeared very lethargic. The bed was a bit hard.

It was a good location for why we came here. It was a beautiful building and the unit was pleasantly furnished. It was also very quiet.
For a chic place, it was a below average stay. The arrival procedure was sub-par: It was complicated to arrange to go in the front door, need a concierge to run the elevator for us to go up to the unit to get the entry key, THEN have to go around to the parking lot on the complete other side of the building (very expensive-$40/24 hrs with no in/out privileges) and re-enter building with luggage. The concierges on duty during our stay were all “filling in” for others and knew nothing about the property, alternative parking, how to use the washing machine, etc. I strongly recommend there be PRINTED material on how to use the appliances and everything else about the building and the immediate area IN THE UNIT. There was not even a phone number for the concierge. It is very difficult to have to try to find everything online, especially on a phone. As far as the physical amenities: the lighting in the bathroom is very poor (and 1 of the bulbs was burnt out, but that wouldn’t have made it much brighter)., One of the outlets in the kitchen was not working (GFI did not reset). The bed was uncomfortable and set only one foot off the floor. The apartment would be perfect for a 25 year old man, and that’s about it— I say this because women would want to have a bright light in the bathroom, at least one full length mirror (there are none), and it is not a good fit for older people (over 40) it is very difficult for even an athletic 60 year old to get out of that bed! With the bed so low, you couldn’t reach the bedside light to turn it off while in bed! In addition, the two stools for sitting in the breakfast nook are uncomfortable and had no backs (but were stylish!). While it was a very new and well-decorated unit, we found it less than functional for the main things you want in a vacation rental — no-hassle services and amenities, a comfortable bed, and people you can call to give you adequate information.

Stunning views. Check in was a breeze. Apartment was kitted out with everything I could have needed, and more. Fantastic comfy bed. Spotlessly clean. Great building.
I originally booked a different property. Am not sure what the differences are, but it was a few blocks further out - I was put into the ALMI on 2nd unit.

I loved this place. It was right next to the convention center. It was easy to "check in" though that is not quite the word since this is not a hotel. Once we had our building fab we could use the community spaces and since we were there a week that was super nice. Would definitely stay again.
Nothing. I wish I had stocked up for breakfast but that was all on me there was a little market on the same block of the place.

location, parking garage, nice rooms
the bed was so hard that my back hurt, no tv in the bedroom, filling out your registration requirements online is a real pain and very intrusive.

It was close to the convention center and downtown
They scheduled maintenance for while we were there, changing out the door lock which did not work for at least a half hour after they were done and gone locking us out of our apartment, then they came back again to do other maintenance. Here's a hint- schedule your maintenance in between guests. Furthermore the bed was rock hard and caused me severe back pain. Half the lights were out in the apartment. The floor was absolutely filthy in the bathroom, I wiped up some spilt water and the towel was black after doing so, check in instructions were horrific, never even got the room number, had to send in all kinds of extra information, the office staff acted nice on the phone but were useless in nearly all matters, sent a link to click on if you wanted to do a check out late request, but the link was not operational and gave you a 404 error code, then when calling them they said the request needed to come before 9 am on the link provided. I would not recommend this place under any circumstances.

It was clean, the AC worked well and it was well located in downtown Austin.
It wasn't until I made the non-refundable purchase on the booking site that I was aware there was also a $69 + 17% tax cleaning fee that was added. Also I was sent an email from Kasa requesting additional information, it required me to upload my drivers license but then also needed access to my laptop camera so that it could scan my face. Had I know that this was required prior to booking, I would not have done so. And finally on the day I arrive I found out that the room was not a "normal room", think Harry Potter prior to going to Hogwarts, it was all by itself, on the street level, where people could look in as they walked back, so I had to keep the blinds closed. And also beside street noise, as this is a mostly residential building, it was very noisy in the room as people entered the building, picked up their mail from the mail area, had the coffee machine brew a cup, checked in with the concierge, etc. It was very, very noisy. Had any of these items been disclosed to me prior to making a non-refundable purchase I would not have stayed at this place.
