The house was exactly what we wanted! Cozy, yet also spacious at the same time and perfectly, spotlessly clean. Our host thought of everything we might need, especially for the beach--a cooler, beach towels, beach chairs, etc. and everything was very findable. Plus the kitchen was well stocked with sugar for coffee, napkins, wine glasses, etc. We were sad when our stay ended and would 100% recommend this place.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this home! It’s evident the owner loves this place and dedicates their time and energy into keeping it well maintained. The home is clean, tastefully decorated with all the things we needed right at hand. the lawn and flower garden are beautiful, the location is perfect— easy walk to/from the center of Ogunquit and perfectly situated between footbridge and ogunquit beach! quick, easy drive up route 1 to mini golf and grocery store. The owner is prompt with clear communication and never tired of my endless questions 😅 We arrived to lovely gifts and handwritten note, very thoughtful and generous—really added such a personal touch to our stay. John is attentive and kind, his place is everything we needed and more! this was one of my best Vrbo rental experiences and we look forward to future adventures on our annual vacation next year!!

Looks are deceiving for this rental. It's cozy and spacious at the same time. Three bedrooms that are separate enough for privacy but close to the main part of the house. Two well equipped very clean bathrooms with washer dryer in one. Front porch, warmed by the sun was very welcome after the breezy beach. Very good location with breakfast nearby and lobster dinner and ice cream within a two minute walk. Attentive host , clean unit and good value= perfect stay, thanks John!

We enjoyed our stay, especially having an entire house to ourselves. The welcome basket was nice with plenty of information on the surrounding area. Beach chairs and towels were provided, which was convenient. Our beds were comfortable, although we had expected 2 Kings, and there was 1. The floor plan has an unusual design, that when you open the front door, you are in the bedroom with the King bed. You walk through it, to get to the rest of the house. Kitchen was ready to go for meal preparation, laundry was ready to go for washing the linens upon leaving, and the converted porch had plenty of games and activities for larger groups or children.
The Egg & I restaurant is across the street, with Big Daddy's Ice-Cream within spitting distance on the side of the property, and with the Lobster Pound on the other side. Several cabins are situated behind the house.
Excellent experience, with Footbridge Beach and Ogunquit Main beach, each .9 miles in opposite directions from the property. We look forward to staying there again!

The house was clean and beautifully decorated with a beachy vibe. Plenty of room for our family of three adults to stretch out and either hang out together or find a quiet spot on our own. My husband enjoyed being able to sit out in the front yard (which is right on the Main Street BTW) and people watch. As commented by another visitor, the front bedroom faces the main road and is across from a very brightly lit motel (at night). Curtains in that room don't do enough to cut out the light so if you are looking for darkness to sleep it could be uncomfortable. It was also a little bit noisy with traffic, but running a fan or air conditioner blocked out the noise for sleeping. The back bedroom was very quiet and comfortable. Over all a very pleasant stay, and the host did a great job in communicating things both before our stay and during. He left plenty of information about the house and also the area, so if you are new to Ogunquit that was helpful.

We loved staying at this property. It's a very beachy feel and very well decorated. The layout was perfect for my teenage boys and my husband and I. I know that I read some comments about small children being able to open the doors of the bedrooms but I do not know how that would happen as there are locks on the doors at least 6 feet up. The kitchen was very well stocked - we made dinner several nights and even made an apple pie. Unlike other rentals in the area we have stayed at, the rental had everything you would need and included sheets, towels, laundry supplies, toilet paper, paper toweling etc. I don't think I can give specifics on the exact location but its centrally located on the main street very close to restaurants, ice cream, etc. We could walk to the beach in 15 minutes. The owner was easy to communicate with. We would gladly stay here again.

Great house for a vacation week in Ogunquit. Spacious rooms, large well equipped kitchen. The host left a welcome note and treats which was a thoughtful surprise. We appreciated the laundry and TV’s in the bedrooms. The house is an easy 15-20 minutes walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The host provides good instructions and very responsive. My friends and I enjoyed our week in your home. Thanks!

Located next to Ice Cream and Lobster Pound (heaven). This was a nice place. The owner, John, kept great communication and resolved any issues we had promptly. We’d stay again.

There were just a few issues that WE felt needed to be addressed. the first is the main master bedroom is facing the front of house which is very close to the main road. There are only shear curtin's which at night allows anyone to see in and worse let in all the lights from the traffic and street lights!! Very bright in this room! Perhaps some heavy room darkening curtins would help with the lights beaming into the room. Also, give priv. to the guest in the room. And also PLEASE remove the little window between the middle bedroom and the small back room. If someone wakes up during the night and turns the light on it beams right on the person sleeping. And lastly, remove the long shears in small room where the bed is against the wall. The curtins are in the way of the person laying in the bed. Over all it is a very cute place, close to everything. Just change the window treatments and make sure your internet and all lights are plugged in so when your guest arrive everything is up and running.

This was a very nice place and near downtown, close enough to walk to plenty of things. John was very good with communication. He also left some snacks and a bottle of wine for us.

Vacation in Ogunquit
John/owner was great to work with. He allowed us to check in early & checked back with us several times to make sure all was good. The cottage was clean well equipped. We had a great time.

OK
Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was decent. In house laundry was useful.
Probably best for young adults who are going to spend the day at the beach/pool and just need a place to crash.
The area is not great for small kids in that it is very close to the road (front bedroom opens straight onto the outside and has no deadbolt and my 4 year old had it open in under 3 minutes from our arrival) and there isn’t a good fenced in area to stop them. There was also a good amount of road noise.
The water coming out of the faucet tasted a bit funny so we drank bottled water.
Sort of strange incident where after we left the owner contacted me and asked if I knew where a sign from the kitchen was…I did not know (we certainly did not take it) but he charged us $50 for it…

Did not take us long to call this home. Booked by the pictures on the internet, but truly more beautiful than that. Property Manager had good communication with us and very informative. Hope to visit again. This was our second trip to Maine in 27 years. Hope it is not another 27!!! Guarantee you will enjoy this as your home on your visit to Maine.

gateway to Maine
Ogunquit is a delightful seaside town very close to the maine/NH border and serves as the gateway to Maine. Location of the property is excellent and it is right on Main street. Very spacious 2br /2 bathroom cottage . great kitchen where we cooked wonderful lobster dinners. Cottage has everything including washing machine and dryer. lots of good restaurants in walking distance and the beach is just 10 mins walk. John is a great host and takes good care of his guests.
