About this house rental
Direct beachfront duplex with huge deck overlooking the dunes and Oceanna Fishing Pier. When you vacation at the beach you want to be AT the beach not near the beach. Keys are provided via a lock box, so check-in has no in person contact.
Our family has owned this unit for over 26 years, and we do annual updates for our guests' comfort. The 2020 and early 2021 period gave us an opportunity to do a total renovation with replacing most of the drywall, new flooring, and fans. We have new modern appliances, deck furniture just as a hotel would, hammocks below the deck and my favorite feature, outside enclosed showers with HOT & cold water for your outdoor showering pleasure.
New wall colors, more parking and new covered entryway are just a few of the upgrades. We provide pretty much everything you need to walk in and relax. We provide a fully stocked kitchen with spices, paper goods (when in short supply bring toilet paper and paper towels but we do start you off) , zip lock bags, aluminum foil ( bottom drawer beside refrigerator has paper towels and toilet paper) and just ask that you restock if you have time so the next guest has everything they need.
Each unit is a mirror image of the other except for color schemes and flooring. Both units are updated annually, and during Covid we added a UVC germicidal light in our ductwork to kill viruses and mold to help make our heating and air system cleaner and better for those with allergies.

We also have a cleaning crew who lives locally to keep the unit in great shape throughout the season and follows current 2023 cleaning recommendations. Each side has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths plus the outdoor shower provides outdoor comfort when you come back from the beach. The huge outdoor deck allows everyone to spend time outside and eat on the deck, too, if you like. It's a great experience preparing your food with the provided outdoor grill. Recent upgrades include a few new ceiling fans, new 4 burner stainless steel grill, new couch, new stove and new twin XL beds in the 3rd bedroom. If you love sunsets and sunrises, please look at our pictures. You'll notice very few sunrise pictures (by choice) but tons of sunset pictures. This is a rare east/west facing beach, so you get awesome sunrises and fantastic sunsets. We provide beach chairs and some toys for the kids too but remember to bring your beach towels.
Our neighbors own and manage the only privately owned Event Venue on the NC coast "The Cottage at The Crystal Coast" which is 5 houses up from ours. They host live events, concerts and weddings so check them out at www.thecottage.com. You might see a concert listed on their "live events" calendar and decide to walk to the concert with your friends or book a wedding event for the future and have guests stay at our units.
Having the pier just a few hundred yards away is an amenity you are sure to enjoy. Even if you don't fish, you can walk on the pier and see if anyone else is having luck and enjoying a beverage from their bar or, better yet, make one and take it with you. If you like to surf, either side of the pier creates fantastic breakers and has always been known as one of the best surf spots on the island. If you would rather fish and don't like the pier, surf fishing right in front of our house can provide lunch or dinner!
You'll quickly notice our beach is very large, wide, clean and relatively uncrowded. Our end of the beach is primarily single family homes for low density uncrowded beaches. If you want to walk the beach you can head towards the circle (town center for Atlantic Beach) and visit the world famous TackleBox (locals dive bar), have a beverage outside at Idle Hour or eat at one of several restaurants. Just a few blocks from our unit (easy walk) can have you at Amos Mosquito's, arguably one of the best restaurants around and the Island Grill, which is just up the street. It may be small but the food is fantastic. You can always drive over to the Morehead City waterfront and choose between a dozen different restaurants or head over to Beaufort and shop and dine on the waterfront.

Great stay right on the beach. Many places say that they are beachside but this is the real deal with the back porch directly on the beach. And while not empty, the beach wasn’t crowded at all. The house was great, with a good kitchen and comfortable bedrooms and living area. The outdoor shower was unexpectedly nice. Absolutely recommend!

It felt like we were at home here. Everything had been thought of and prepared for. And if the cozy home wasn’t enough, the view from the deck was beautiful: morning, noon, and night.
The other unit was rented out as well, but there is plenty of space , we forgot we had neighbors.
Loved the feel seclusion of the location while still being close to shopping and restaurants.

This duplex is really nice and spacious. The pictures are 100% accurate and the place was just lovely. We enjoyed coffee on the deck every morning and easy access to the beach. The only thing we couldn't find was a pair of tweazers, but we should've brought some. Will definitely rebook the next time we're in Atlantic Beach!

The location was nice and quite. The view from the decks allowed you to view the beautiful sunrise and the sunsets every day. I would recommend this house with out hesitation. Wonderful place to stay right on the beach. This home was exactly as advertised. It is a duplex, and the porch is shared with the neighbors. This created a little issue with there dogs being protective of them. Parking is a little tricky, but the host did a wonderful job of setting expectations and explaining the how to. We had a very nice stay.

The location of the property was fantastic, we were here last year and had a wonderful stay. This year, we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the house - the house had sand all over, smelled like a wet dog and the comforter in the master had gum stuck on it.
This might have been a one off issue with the cleaners since last year the property was spotless.

recently had the pleasure of staying in this home and I must say, it was an experience par excellence. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by an inviting atmosphere that made us feel instantly at home.
The house was beautifully decorated with a tasteful beach theme that perfectly matched the stunning surroundings. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the cozy living room to the well-equipped kitchen - including spices, Reynolds wrap, and storage bags!
However, the standout for me was undoubtedly the master bedroom. The bed was remarkably comfortable, providing me with some of the best nights' sleep I've had in a long time. It felt like sleeping on a cloud, making it difficult to leave the bed each morning! And honestly I didn’t have to because I had a perfect view of the ocean from the bed. 🙌
Not only was the house itself impressive, but the location at Atlantic Beach was ideal. The serene beach was just a short walk away, providing breathtaking views and a tranquil environment for relaxation.
I’ll wrap up by saying that the stay at Atlantic Beach was nothing short of perfect for me, my friends, and the puppy that came along for the ride. If you're looking for a comfortable and inviting home to stay in, look no further. I highly recommend this place and can't wait for my next visit!

Had a fabulous time during our stay! In addition to the great location, lovely view, and cleanliness, there are a lot of little extras that make this place special. The garage is fully stocked with chairs and kids toys. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would have in your own home. The beds and pillows are comfortable. Everything you need is right there! As other reviewers have mentioned, the only small downside is the shared deck. Otherwise, it's perfect. We would definitely stay here again!

The house was clean when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked both with cooking utensils, spices, and things you just need. Not a lot of folks on the beach so a lot of open space to enjoy for an October stay. We had two dogs so if others were next door then if the doggies don’t get along when on the deck then it might add some stress. Nonetheless I would definitely recommend the house.

This was an amazing property! The kitchen was fully stocked. There were paper supplies to start us off (and we refilled on our way out). The deck was amazing to enjoy all morning, noon and night! Family reunion
After a few years of separation due to COVID, it was a great place to be together again as a family. The house is wonderfully located looking over the ocean. There is ample room to be together or find a nook for some time for yourself. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a terrific grill outside for summer cooking. The large deck outside let us gather together both day and night. We will return.
