About this cottage rental
New (February 2015) two bedroom attic apartment offering convenience and combining luxury with comfort. Located in a very popular area of Westcliff with close proximity to sandy, Blue Flag beaches and Bournemouth Town Centre. The second floor apartment boasts a fresh, contemporary feel. Open plan living, dining and kitchen area. Bath/shower combination.The apartment can accommodate up to 4 persons offering a double and twin bedroom. Off road parking is available for one car. Additional spaces available on the road which is unrestricted. Complimentary WIFI. Complimentary cot and highchair stored at the property. One of three apartments within one house, if you have multiple family groups that need accommodation to sleep up to 19 persons, please also look at property Pipping House (ground floor apartment) and Pipping House A (first floor apartment) and add to your booking form if required.
COVID-19 UPDATE: Cleaning is done as normal, as an exception to our ECO policies, we will use cleaning products containing disinfectants. Linen and towels are always washed at a minimum of 60 degrees.
This accommodation is strictly NON SMOKING and NO pets allowed. Please note - this accommodation is for families, couples and professionals only - we do not accept hen/stag parties and it is at the owners discretion to accept groups

Security Deposit Refundable deposit for the amount of £225.00 is taken with your balance payment; PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A TRANSACTION in-case of any damages. Once the properties are checked by our housekeepers the monies are refunded within 5 days after your departure. It will take 5-7 working days to clear back into your account (time dependable on your bank)

This was our third stay at Pippin House. We like its location, relatively quiet but still close to Bournemouth and Durley Chine beach. The accommodation is clean and comfortable with good beds and an adequate lounge area/kitchen facility as well as a parking bay. The Smart Home staff were friendly when approached and agreed a later departure time to assist our getaway. The only negatives were a faulty TV that provided an unwatchable pixelated picture, and a broken extractor fan in the bathroom which was an inconvenience, An offer to call and look at the TV was declined as it would have blocked a planned outing.
We would certainly return here as it is now familiar territory and a good base for trips to Poole, Compton Acres and Swanage.

Modern and good location
The flat was modern, clean and comfortable only 5 minutes walk from the sea. Town was about 20 min walk, as was westbourne.
Great to have car parking space.
A small gripe - We found the double bed pretty uncomfortable (very soft - felt like you were rolling off the edges) and teenagers complained the single duvets were too short widthways ( as was the double).
Discovered a leak to the kitchen sink whilst we were there - smart rentals promptly organised for this to be mended - great service.
Overall pleased with flat location and quality.

Good location and amenities. Checks needed on laundry/bins before visitors arrive.
Lovely property. However, there was no duvet cover on the double on arrival - this was quickly rectified by Smart Home Rentals though. In addition the bins were overflowing and the contents of the recycling bin were not collected during our stay despite the bin being put out on the street. However, the property was clean, had everything we needed and was in a great location.

Good size apartment and great location for the beach
Good size apartment with good access to the beach. The apartment though could of done with decorating due to chips and holes in some walls and ceilings.

We stayed when temperatures were in the 30C in 2018
With only one fan, this attic room was hard to keep cool enough to be bearable.
There was a problem with the bin collections with prev occupants not Recycling and the bins were overflowing, and not collected when we put them out Sunday night for Monday collection. fortnightly council collection not fit for purpose for this group of 5 apartments in this large house.
Reported all faults as soon as we identified them, but not convinced they had been recorded so potentially the dining chair we found broken may still be broken and the shower riser rail falls apart if you don't hold it together when altering the shower head height or taking the shower head out of its collar, and the laminated toilet seat was delaminating showing chip board where the seams were separating. Very clean other than these areas highlighted.
Springs on mattresses of double bed not very well padded, so we used the duvet for additional padding, being able to sleep on top due to the warm overnight temperatures.
Well furnished, including iron and ironing board, clothes airer, combination washing machine and dryer, vacuum, and fold away cot.
X1 lot of linin for week and towels.
Designated parking within front garden - 1- car per appartment, and within 10 mins to the beach trip through a public car park, and 15 mins walk to the shopping centre and a little less to the pier where the tourist info kiosk is located.
