About this cabin rental
Welcome to Hillside Hideaway, a custom-built, 3 bedroom, three bath authentic log home centrally located in Gatlinburg, TN near the Arts and Crafts Community and within minutes of downtown Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Dollywood. It’s a great place to relax and unwind while taking in the many great attractions that are offered in the Smoky Mountains. The cabin sits on the side of a thickly wooded hill covering several acres and offers plenty of space and privacy! The three large bedrooms will sleep up to 9 people, and each bedroom has its own separate, attached bathroom. The home has also been upgraded and contains new furnishings and features throughout. Hillside Hideaway is new to the vacation rental market and will begin accepting bookings in May 2019.
The home is laid out over three separate levels with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The first floor is easily accessible from the front porch and includes a kitchen with an eat-in dining room, laundry room, great room, master suite and a screened in back deck. The great room features cathedral ceilings, a bay window with window seat, stone wood-burning fireplace and a 50” TV. The fully equipped kitchen also includes appliances, pots and pans, tableware and silverware along with a dual coffee maker that accepts both K-cups and traditional filters. The master suite has a queen sized bed, a 42” TV and it’s own attached bathroom. Both the master suite and great room have double doors that lead out to the large, screened in back deck with a view of the surrounding hill-side. There is a charcoal grill right off the front porch.
Located on the second floor is another bedroom connected by a separate loft. This bedroom also has a queen sized bed, separate attached bathroom and a 42” TV. The loft is a great place to catch up on your reading or play board games with your family. It includes a day bed that can sleep one, a game table that seats four+ and shelves containing books, puzzles and assorted games.
On the bottom level is a game room, bedroom and covered deck. Kids will love to spend time down here with the air hockey table, vintage arcade machine and 60” TV which has HDMI ports for connecting video game consoles (XBox/Playstation). The back door leads to the outside deck which houses a seven-person hot-tub and is surrounded by plenty of trees for privacy. Located off the game room is the third bedroom which includes a double queen size bunk bed that can sleep up to four people. Like the other bedrooms, this one also has its own attached bathroom.
There is wireless internet throughout the house and all the TV’s are new LG 4K smart TV’s with Comcast HD cable. You can also access your streaming services through the TV’s wireless connection.
Hillside Hideaway is close to everything you would want to visit in the area and is just under 10 miles away from Dollywood and six miles from downtown Gatlinburg. Located near the Arts and Crafts community it is also a convenient drive to dining, groceries and other supplies you might need. The roads from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are two lane roads that are easy to drive for the area (remember you are in the mountains). The cabin itself is on the side of a hill, so the driveway is steep, though paved. We have seen a wide variety of vehicles make it up the hill from four-cylinder cars to large delivery trucks, but we recommend that you check your tires to ensure there is sufficient tread in case of rain. We don’t get much snow in the area, but in the rare case we do, the driveway will be difficult to climb without tire chains. Parking can accommodate up to three vehicles (or four smaller vehicles) since the turnaround is a little tight. Trailers are not recommended since it would be difficult to turn around or back down the hill.
We love this cabin and want to share it to provide you with a great vacation experience that you and your family will remember and cherish for years to come.

Couldn’t be happier with my stay this week at the Hillside Hideaway. We absolutely loved every aspect of our rental. We had more space than expected, more privacy, and about the best views a person could ask for. The screened in porch was utilized daily.

Great vacation. Wonderful home.

We had a great stay. The property is close to so much and still feels private.

I liked that it was a peaceful and secluded location. The driveway was scary at first! The cabin was very cozy and family friendly inside. I liked the hot tub and back porch spaces the most.

Our family of 5 vacation was a success thanks to this beautiful cabin! The pictures were quite accurate! We all had a great nights sleep on comfortable beds. Thank God for WiFi here because data is pretty much nonexistent! My 3 teens spent most of the time playing air hockey and sitting in the hot tub. They were happy to have lots of room and space. The location was nice and quiet. A nice change of pace from the bustle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge…which were both close enough to run back and forth to!
Great hosts that gave great info on travel to the cabin! Highly recommend this property!

The cabin was amazing we loved our stay it was clean had plenty of room was out of town so very peaceful but located close enough to get to everything pretty fast the roads are winding and narrow be careful the driveway is super steep so be prepared for that but those are small things compared to the memories you will make.

Everything was exactly as pictured. The check in process was smooth and the cabin was perfect for our group of 6 (4 teenagers and 2 adults). The kids enjoyed the games and the separate spaces. The master bedroom and bathroom were spacious and comfortable, and being able to access the screened in porch for morning coffee was delightful. We had a small issue with the dryer, and the hosts were very responsive and communicative.
It was easy to get into different areas of town from the location and a grocery store is just a few minutes down the road.
We throughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon.

Cabin is Absolutely Amazing! Driveway takes some getting used to. But our son did an awesome job! Cabin was everything we wanted and needed! Saw 5 deer including a fawn, 3 coyotes, and a few pheasants! Must go to Sugarland!!! We loved it! Locco Burro was a great restaurant with amazing views. Titanic museum is a must! As is Applebarn! We spent several nights in jacuzzi! We missed seeing snow by 1 hr on check out day! We will Definitely book this cabin again!!!

We had a great time. Beautiful cottage. Very nice having a full bathroom for each bedroom. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again.

Great location, secluded but close to downtown. Cabin was awesome with a killer screened in porch. Will be rebooking for sure.

The driveway was interesting the first time up, but as others have stated, once you do it a few times it was not that bad. The Cabin is in a central location to all the attractions that Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have to offer. The cabin is beautifully decorated and came equipped with many amenities. It was a perfect get together for family from Georgia and Michigan to gather.

Other than that, we had a great time.

What a beautiful cabin. Our family of 6 loved staying here over Spring Break. Lots of things to do in the cabin to spend time together and decompress. Lots of yummy meals around that big table, soaks in the hot tub, nightly board games, videogame challenges, etc. What a great home base for our hikes at GSMNP.
Lovely cabin, great communication, would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This is a nice cabin with 3 levels. We had a good time. The driveway is steep and on our check-in day there was ice and this presented some problems/memories. We would rent again but probably would come in a different vehicle.

We adored this home! It was clean and had everything we could've needed for our stay. Close to everything, yet far enough away to have some peace. We love the Smokies and this home allowed us to soak it all in. It was perfect. We hope to return soon.

The cabin was super clean well kept. The beds were not super comfy but worked for the 4 nights. We had a great time here would definitely reccomend as long as no snow or ice is expected.
Needed better shovel and Brooms to sweep the snow that impeded our arrival after day at dollywood and our inability to leave the next morning on time for checkout. I would suggest ice melt and maybe a crew to come treat driveway in inclement weather since we had to trudge up hill at 9pm at night in the snow as our suv could not make it up the very steep driveway to cabin.

Everything was as described and the instructions provided were easy to follow. The driveway is definitely steep, but our minivan made it up and down just fine! The cabin comes stocked with more than a days supply of basic household items (trash bags, hand soaps) Baby gates, beach towels and all kitchen basics were supplied. There is also a double stroller provided if someone were to need one. We loved using the fireplace and hot tub! Close to everything.

This cabin was perfect for my family as we visited the mountains for my sons wedding. The “man cave” downstairs was the perfect touch for my son and his groomsmen. We enjoyed everything about it. Look forward to staying here in the future.

We would absolutely book this cabin again! It was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, beautiful, and away from the city. The hot tub was a big hit. The Christmas decorations were such a beautiful surprise! There was plenty of space for our family of 6. For the first time in any of our other rental experiences there were plenty of nice blankets, towels, kitchen tools, etc. Everything in the home was in perfect working order. Couldn’t have asked for better! The driveway is a bit wild (even coming from people who grew up in the mountains of NC) but once you figure it out, it’s not bad. I would recommend arriving during day light just so that you can see everything better and are prepared for the sharp turn at the top.

My family enjoyed our stay very much! The cabin was very cozy! Just what we were looking for.

The property was beautiful and we had a wonderful stay. The driveway was not ideal, but the cabin was very well kept and extremely clean. We really enjoyed it!

The property was all around gorgeous. I loved that every bedroom had its own bathroom. There was definitely plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen was very well equipped and the cabin was so clean and so beautiful. Definitely an authentic cabin feel. The only thing I would suggest is putting a little more emphasis on the driveway being steep. I would say that was a bit of an understatement, but once you get the hang of it that was also a fun part of the whole experience. We would absolutely stay again.

Great cabin. Should be a warning about the steep driveway. Not all vehicles will be able to make the climb.

Our family stayed in this cabin for our son's wedding and it was perfect. Plenty of room for everyone. The downstairs was just right for him and his groomsmen.

We absolutely loved this cabin, yes the driveway is steep but soooo worth the peace and quiet! We got married while in Gatlinburg and 6 of us stayed in the cabin. I could not have asked for a better place to stay! Convenient to all things in Gatlinburg and only a short drive to Pigeon Forge. We will definitely be staying here again!!

This property had plenty of space and privacy for our family of 5. Nice mud room with washing machines and a place to put your shoes after a long day. Many kitchen amenities available and awesome arcade and air hockey table. We enjoyed the clean and convenient hot tub. Like others have said, driveway is steep but we got used to it as the days went by. Recommend as a private and secluded but not too far place from hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg
