About this house rental
Come visit beautiful Crystal River and relax in our house. Take any of our 4 kayaks across the bay to the famous Three Sisters Springs and see the manatees. Head out to the Gulf of Mexico in your boat for some great fishing or the always popular scalloping (when in season). We have a 50' dock with a floating section for ease of launching the kayaks. There is an ice machine in the garage that produces enough ice to keep your coolers full. A heated screened-in pool for family and friends to enjoy. Our house is just a short distance to Ft. Island Gulf beach where you can sit and relax while the kids play in the water. Just past the house is access to two boat ramps. This home is fully furnished with 3 flat screen TVs with cable. There are 2 queen beds in the guest bedrooms. A king size bed in the master bedroom leaving plenty of sleeping room for everyone. For your convenience, we provide FREE wireless Internet. We have a high-efficiency washer and dryer available for your use. Linens and towels are provided for your use. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will need to cook with (blender, coffee pot, microwave, toaster). A BBQ grill is also provided for outdoor grilling.
The house is located just a short distance to a grocery store, restaurants, and shopping in historic downtown Crystal River, Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, walking and bike trails, scuba diving, and swimming with the manatees.
Boat Docking and Canal:
We have a 50' dock with a small floating dock attached that leaves about 30' of dock space for 1 boat. We are in the corner of the cove, there is not enough room to tie boats side by side, so only 1 boat will fit on our dock. The canal can get shallow in spots at low tide, less than 2' during the summer months and less than that during the winter months.
You will make memories to last a lifetime here!

Had a nice stay, there is not a really good place to put your boat- we did keep it on the side yard but we are on a busy street and very close to the road so had to lock up everything and bring poles in every night. They do have a doc bit the water is very shallow during low tide so we did not utilize it- we have a 25 ft center console flats boat and didn’t want to risk being stuck during low tide. Mark was great to work with and the pool and outdoor living space is awesome. I think they could benefit from a few upgrades but honestly it is a nice play to stay and has everything you need. You are less than 5 min to a nice boat launch so no problems there. Overall nice stay and Mark was more than accommodating and easy to work with. If looking for a nice place to relax and watch all the wildlife in the river this is the place for you.

This place was perfect! Clean with all the amenities. We enjoyed the quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Loved being on the river so we could kayak to three sisters. The pool was amazing after a hot day on the river. Mike was available to answer our questions when needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice and clean home. Need a very skillful capt to navigate the channel, that's for sure. The host is very easy to communicate with.
We really enjoy this house with a pool and being on the water.

Great place to stay especially if you have your own boat. Plenty of dock space and not far from the local boat ramp.
House was very cozy and clean. Full appliances, cookware, and grill. The back patio and pool were relaxing and Smart TVs throughout the house. And the large icemaker was a bonus.

The house was wonderful. Great location on the canal, and the pool was amazing. Everything we needed was at the house, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Some people have said that the driveway can be hard to get out of, but we found that if there was no one on the road when you arrived, backing in made it extremely easy to leave. We love it and look forward to coming back.

This is the third or fourth time I have stayed at this property, I love it because of the location, You can pop your kayaks right in the canal or you can easily drive to other places. The house is well stocked and very clean.

My wife and I stayed here but realized that with all of the bedrooms and multiple dining tables this would be a great place for a family reunion!
Beautiful property, beautiful location.
One issue was the busy main road - the noise didn’t bother us too much, but pulling out of the driveway was challenging! After staying a week we had still not quite figured out how to get out of the driveway safely….it doesn’t help that people rarely obey the posted speed limit!
Everything else was great!

The house has a vacation vibe everywhere you look while maintaining the cozy feel of home. Everything we needed was provided—from kayaks to condiments! The location to the three sisters, rainbow river, the gulf and a boat launch was 5-star as well. If we come back this way, we would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic! Our family had an amazing time at Mark's home. Mark was very easy to communicate with before and during our trip and answered all of our questions. The property is set on the canal with a boat/fishing dock and a great cleaning table for the fish that you WILL catch! The house is great with an open floor plan, and a kitchen with everything you will need. There are 3 bedrooms with comfortable beds and bedding and two great bathrooms The house has a washer/dryer and even an ice maker for your beach trip cooler! The pool was heated to an amazing 87 degrees and was screened to keep out the bugs in the evening. Best of all, there are 6 kayaks that we use each day to explore the canals, Crystal River, and Kings Bay. We saw Manatees, Dolphins, and beautiful turtles and birds on our kayaking trips. Less than 10 minutes away was Fort Island Beach, a white sandy beach with several fishing piers. We would highly recommend Mark and his beautiful home and look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Crystal River. Thanks again Mark for a wonderful vacation for my family!

The house was exactly as described. We had a great time and especially appreciated the great location. The owner called to check on us because a tornado had passed through Crystal River the night before. We lost power for the day (as did all the surrounding homes) but fortunately no other issues. The pool, ice machine, and back patio over looking the canal are very nice amenities.

We truly enjoyed our stay from the ease of access to the use of the kayaks. It was so easy to connect with Mark prior to our trip and I loved his quick response. The home had everything we needed and more. We especially loved sitting out of the patio with the pool and canal right there. In the evening we were minutes to the beach to view the lovely sunsets. We rate his home extremely high for location and comfort plus all of the activities to do. We would absolutely go back again. It was wonderful!!!

First, the convenience of the boat ramp a short drive away was extremely helpful. Nice big ramps made getting our 22 ft boat in easy. Ride from ramp to house was smooth as we timed it to be there during high tide. House had everything we needed to prepare meals and was well stocked with towels and lots of pillows. Wonderful homebase for scalloping and exploring. Kayaks were a bonus that our kids enjoyed taking to Hunter Springs. Mike was very responsive to questions. Will definitely be back!

This property has every amenity you could want in a waterfront property in Crystal River with only a few drawbacks. The property itself is great with an open floor plan perfect for relaxing. The beds were super comfortable with nice bedding. Plenty of towels, kitchen extras, washer/dryer and best of all an ICE MAKER! They even had kayaks but we did not use them. The heated 86 degree pool was nice after the 75 degree springs. The screened back patio was large and kept the bugs away. The property is located on a main road to the boat ramps so loud trucks constantly drive by with a few "racers" at 2am even though it is 35 mph. I am a heavy sleeper but the noise is something to note. Also pulling out onto the road and into the property with the boat trailer is difficult. The canal to the property is extremely shallow at low tide and anything with a draw of over 1ft would not make it during that time. Be care as there was always a manatee in canal and we had to wait for him to move so we could drive by. The tide swing is also 2+ ft so the fact you cannot use the floating dock due to the neighbors boat, ensure you do not get caught under or on top of the stationary dock. Overall the property's location to town by car and to the springs by boat/kayak is great and we would stay here again.

The house was very spacious with its open floor plan. Nice touches cabinets stocked with anything we might need. Very cute with all the details and décor.
Clean, clean, clean. The pool was so nice as well.

The home has a nice layout. The living room and patio have comfortable seating. The beds are comfortable but the furniture in the main bedroom has lots of wear. The kitchen is easy to cook in but it would be great if it had a large pot for boiling blue crab/stone crab/snow crab claws and cookie sheet. and jelly roll pan. The canal is very shallow on low tide. In some areas 1.5 feet, with rocks or logs. We have a 21 foot bow rider V hull. We were able to navigate the canal with the motor on full tilt up. But still had to push off of shallow areas. We are native Floridians, boaters and seasoned scallopers that rent for a week every year. This is the second out of multiple years at Crystal River with the scallops being sparse. FFWCC needs to close the season or shorten it for one year to let the scallops replenish.

We took a short trip to Crystal River to kayak to springs and enjoy the pool. The house was perfect. The beds were comfy, kayaks were nice, the house was clean and the kitchen had everything we could need. We enjoyed kayaking to hunter springs( 3 sisters was closed) both days and made it back in plenty of time to have pool time. Book this house!
