About this cabin rental

Lake front home on beautiful Buck Island in Lake Guntersville! 150' of riverfront with one 30' covered boat slip. Interior of the boathouse is NOT included. On the main channel of the Tennessee River. Located on a large 3 acre lot. Plenty of parking for boat trailers. The home owner lives on the lot in a separate house.

Property includes large 10'x27' screened in porch and a 12'x27' wood deck. Great for grilling and enjoying the beautiful view.

House sleeps 6 with 2 bedrooms. Two queen sized beds in one room and two twin beds in another room. It offers one 3/4 bath and one 1/2 bath. The kitchen has all new appliances, cabinets and countertops. There is a dining table that seats 6 and a counter bar top that seats 4. Dining area has a beautiful view! Living area has a 46' flat screen TV with basic cable.

House located just one mile from Gunters Landing Golf Course and 25 miles from Robert Trent Jones Golf Course. Access to public boat ramps just 3 miles away. Downtown Guntersville is just 4 miles away.

This is a great place for relaxing, fishing, boating or golf!

This is our second stay at Sue’s Slew. It is excellent in every way and the hosts are very accommodating! The house is clean, very neat, well appointed, and everything works!! I have fished every spring in Alabama for 39 years. Of all the places we have stayed this is my favorite. My boat is moored undercover in a protected bay. You are only 3 miles from all the conveniences of downtown Guntersville. Enjoy!!

House was incredible with a great view and covered boat dock. Pictures and description don’t do this property justice. House had everything you need and more. Very clean, well stocked. Easy access to lake, golf and restaurants. Hosts were fantastic. Already looking to book again.

Awesome place and location! Wish the weather was better but that did not take away from the property and hospitality that we received, starting with the instant response for any questions we had to the fresh baked cookies we received on our doorstep! My family really enjoyed our stay at this lake side cabin. It was very clean and we had everything we needed. Susan and Dennis were very accommodating and kind to us. My children loved playing with Buck! He is very sweet! We brought our boat. There is a good boat launch only a few miles down the road. We left our boat in the water under the covered boat slip. It was great and made loading and unloading for boat rides easy for us. There was electrical outlets to charge boat batteries and plenty of room to park out trailer. Hope we get a chance to stay here again.

The cabin was really outdated. The one shower was so tiny you could barely turn around. The people we rented from found a stain on the comforter and asked vrbo for a $250 damage deposit. And they gave it to her. Just be careful with this one. Wonder how many times she’s done this. And complained about having to clean up on her day off.

The home was perfect for fishing. We had a covered slip for our boat with an outlet to charge our batteries. The property owners Susan and Dennis were great, very helpful with local suggestions. Dennis helped us with fishing techniques for our time of the year. With Seibold, Town,Browns,Alred, and Spring Creeks. All within a 10-15 minute boat ride. Susan and Dennis, Thank you for everything. We will be back

Perfect place in a great location. This suited out weekend fishing trip perfectly. Plenty of parking for boats, clean, cozy, great view of the lake and the owners (located on the property) are extremely friendly. Highly recommend for anyone in the area needing a nice place to stay.

Great little getaway

The cabin was perfect for a few days away with our two boys. The house is well stocked and then beds in the master bedroom are comfortable. The screened in porch was great and the view was beautiful. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. The cabin is conveniently located. There is only a small enclosed stand up shower in the house so if you have younger children that you prefer to bathe in a tub or have a larger sized adult, this could be an issue.

Had a wonderful experience with our weekend getaway to Sue's Slue. From the ease of booking & responsive to questions to the cozy cabin with beautiful views, we loved our time at the lake. Minutes from Huntsville with restaurants & grocery easily accessible by boat or car! Enjoyed our time on the water, fishing off the dock, or just relaxing on the porch. Looking forward to a return stay soon!
