About this house rental

We would like to welcome you to our beautiful island of Santorini, to experience the hospitality and the friendliness of the local people and our old traditions which are only known in our island.

Our family owns two old houses in the old, traditional area of Fira, which is the capital of Santorini. We have recently renovated them and we did our best to ensure that they would keep their character and unique style: high ceiling roofs and white washed walls, made of thick stone, to keep the rooms cool during the summer and warm during the winter. As the old inhabitants didn't have access to wood as a building material, they used to 'carve' their houses and their furniture into stone hills or caves.

It's a perfect place for couples,families, elder people, and everyone who will appreciate one of the most beautiful and quiet areas of the island, while being just a breath away from the main square and the magnificent caldera view.

Calderimi house is 60 sq.m. and it can accommodate 2-3 people.
It consists of 2 bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other one with one single bed. The second room can host one more person. The kitchen, big and comfortable with a dining area, is fully equipped and has all modern facilities. The bathroom is made according to the local traditional style and painted in a yellow ochre.

The house has also a private terrace with table and chairs, decorated with flowers and plants.

My partner and I booked this place very last minute but the host was very quick to respond and get us in! The house was so amazing and a great location. A little off the road from the main street so it was quiet but a minute walk to get to all the restaurants.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It is located in a quiet area of Fira, but close enough to the caldera rim to walk to restaurants and bars. Easy walk to bus station to access other parts of island. The host's recommendations for restaurants and catamaran sunset cruise were perfect. Thank you!

My husband and I, enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment. It is located a short walking distances to Caldera, restaurants, shops, the old port (a great place to enjoy a sunset diner), and it’s very close to the main bus terminals (if you want to venture on your own to other parts of the island).

Our stay was WONDERFUL! our host, Bibi, was extremely gracious and helpful — providing delicious honey cake upon our arrival; helping to make transportation arrangements to and from the ferry port, and providing luggage storage after we checked out. The property was very clean, comfortable, and charming! We strongly recommend that you consider staying there if you are in Fira, Santorini!

Vivi was very nice. The house is very close to the tourist area of Fira and is very quiet at night. The cake Vivi left for us was delicious too. The house is charming and we enjoyed the outside patio. Vivi was very flexible with check in and out. Thank you for such a nice stay in Fira.

This property was well equipped and very homey. The hostess was very attentive and helpful. Additionally the home was very well located with easy access to the best spots on the island. We enjoyed sitting outside soaking up the sun. We appreciated Vivi organizing transport to and from the ferry port. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It’s walking distance to Fira Square & the bus station to go from one place to another. There’s also an excellent bakery right on the neighborhood. Vivi is so helpful and even baked some good banana bread to welcome us!

The location was perfect, just 10 minutes walk to everything, including bus station. Clean, very quiet, and spacious,. Vivi was a wonderful host-very responsive and helpful. We arrived to find local wine, fruit, and sweet cake waiting for us. Lovely surprise!

We (couple) booked the studio for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Vivi is a warm and generous host and the studio (one large bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom) is very comfortable and spacious for a week long stay. It is centrally located near the caldera for the well known and stunning views and bars / eateries. It is also close to the bus station, local bakery and grocery shops. Despite it's central location it is in a quiet area of Thira. Transfer from the airport was easy too. We highly recommend this property. Thank you again Vivi.

Vivi was a wonderful host, going above and beyond to facilitate our first visit to Santorini. The AC kept the interior nice and cool, and the bathroom is wonderfully authentic. Be aware the listing is showing two different units — be sure you know which one you are booking! Also, note the only chairs are outside or at the kitchen table. There is no sofa or lounge chairs for relaxing, and it gets quite hot in the front patio without shade; however there is a patio umbrella shared with the other unit that helped a lot. For a stay in Fira, this is ideally located.

I booked the calderimi house for myself and a friend (who ended up having to cancel at the last minute due to work). It is centrally located 2 quick blocks from the bus station and from the center of town. For being so close to all the action, the house is quiet and very spacious. I chose the house for its central location and being so close to the bus station was ideal. I was able to take the bus to Oia, Firastefani, Monolithos beach, and Red beach within 15-30 minutes. Great place to stay for 2-3 people and would come back.

From the minute we had our reservation, Vivi was a wonderful host. Informative and gracious, she left us baked goods and arranged for our transport to and from the airport. The apartment is well located: quiet street but just a few blocks from the main roads so you get the best of both. My husband and I were traveling with our daughter: two bedrooms that were perfect with the charm you would expect from Santorini. Would recommend and definitely stay there again.

We loved staying here. It was conveniently close to restaurants, the bus station, and downtown area, but far enough away for peace and quiet when we wanted it. We were cool and comfortable in the house. Vivi provided maps and information that helped us plan our days in Santorini. Fira is centrally located, and it is easy to get to the other towns on the island from here.
