The cider press and original chimney are the focal points of the barn when you enter, and to keep these quirky features the kitchen was custom made to go around the press. The wood burner makes it nice and cosy in the winter and the county walks and the local pub make great reasons to go out and explore in the warmer months.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms the master bedroom has a striking antique French bed, and the other has just a single bed.

We had a lovely mid week break at the cottage.
We had a lovely mid week break at the cottage. Catherine was extremely helpful answering my questions before our visit to help us prepare. The cottage is beautiful and very clean. It is surprisingly warm and the wood burning fire place creates a wonderful atmosphere. We enjoyed walking around the property and public footpaths too. The terrace is lovely for a barbecue and overlooks the fields. It is good to note that the terrace is a short walk from the cottage and not attached to it. Catherine very kindly posted a phone charger and lead I forgot back to me which I though was a lovely gesture. The wifi is excellent and we were able to stream netflix on our own devices.
I would highly recommend a visit to this cottage if you require peace and quiet from the daily rat race.

Wow! What a beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting.
Wow! What a beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting. You can’t get further off the beaten track and for that we loved it. No other noise than that of nature. Everything you could need is in the cottage and even chilly enough if a night to get the fire going.
We also visited The Venture In for a meal which was excellent.
Highly recommend this cottage!

A well presented and characterful cottage, with the owners directly opposite, who are very welcoming
A well presented and characterful cottage, with the owners directly opposite, who are very welcoming. The cottage is well laid out and has everything you need during your stay. it has an AGA cooker, we have never used before, but once you understand the different heat zones its very straight forward. Wifi is very good in the cottage i was able to stream movies from my laptop.
The village has a small shop, this does have short opening times on Sundays. There is a local pub which is a 15 minute walk from the cottage, However you are only a short drive from other places.
The paddock area is ideal for dogs to run around and burn off some energy, and there are plenty of local walks to take your 4 legged friends.
A well looked after and great location for a short or long break, well recommended.

A wonderful cottage with everything you could ask for.
A wonderful cottage with everything you could ask for. Catherine, our host, was welcoming and helpful, eager to let us know where we should visit and where we could take our dog. We received the best welcome pack yet!
Overall we had a great time at the cottage, I would happily recommend it to anyone, it was delightful. Tastefully decorated, the beds were lovely and comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom were as you would expect at home. The garden and pool lovely, and the views and walking around the cottage was easily accessible and beautifully peaceful.
If you are thinking of booking this place I highly recommend you do so :)
