Cute house with everything you need. Loved to be able to walk down the street and be right on the beach. We’d love to come back.

The house was really nice, clean and welcoming. We didn’t spend a lot of time there but we did enjoy the area. A short walk took us to the beach and a paved path for longer walks.

We felt like we were home! Very cute house with tons of amenities. We didn't have time to play any of the games or puzzles, but nice to have options of we had a rainy day.
The beach access is less than a quarter mile walk or half mile drive to a parking lot.
We enjoyed our stay and look forward to our next visit.

Nestled in a beautiful, private lush green setting, this house is located perfectly with a short walk down the residential area to the beach. We loved that we didn't have to drive to get to the haul road where, before giant waves took out the connection through the park, you could walk literally for miles.
What we didn't love is that it needs a serious deep cleaning. (the cleaning by the Vacasa staff was fine) Dusty waterstained curtains, old cobwebs and grimy buildup in the bathrooms was off putting. It was most notable in the kitchen, which seemed like an afterthought to the rest of the house, as the kitchen cabinets were tacky with grease, probably because the outdated stove had an non-operable vent fan. The windows in the kitchen (and everywhere else) have no screens which allowed flies in. Half the cabinets had glass doors, half had none. While we were able to cook our meals, the kitchen was only barely adequately stocked with basic items. Hard to find two items the same size for serving or eating, like a cobbled together hodgepodge of dishes.
The dryer has a short run, maybe two feet, but the exhaust hose was so long, crimped and ballooning from pressure that it took 90 minutes to dry a very small load of laundry. House is a mix of outdated and updated, one of the bathrooms was very nice although both toilets were badly stained brown. During our stay the water from the faucets was often murky, maybe from the cistern and because it was raining but that was also off putting. Maybe it's a work in progress, but the owners could really make it sing with some TLC, some work on the deferred maintenance and congruity throughout.

Great location a block from the (on leash) dog friendly beach - they really should be on leash because there are nesting birds, deer, skunk and other wildlife. I even saw a river otter running around the creek on the beach, then dive into the ocean and disappear. I saw it again a few days later at low tide, sitting on the reef, eating a fish.
This house is very nice. It has a very functional kitchen and we made some awesome, healthy meals.
We loved sitting on the back deck in the morning sun, listening to the birds.
Everyone we talked to in the neighborhood and in fort Bragg were very warm and friendly.
We love it here!

Great spot! It rained on us but the house was located on such a great spot that it didn’t matter!

Love this cabin. Have stayed here off and on for years. Great location to the ocean.

Loved this place and will return for sure. So close to the Mackerricher ocean view bike path. 60 seconds out of the driveway to see the ocean on foot. Very comfy and well appointed. Also the Wi-Fi was flawless and smart tv worked great!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Parkside. We loved the location with the short walking distance to the beach. The ocean and beach decor inside is lovely. The house was fully stocked with everything you need and they had stated you get a starter kit for the stay but there was no way we would ever have used that much. It was just my husband and I for this visit so we only slept on the king in the master bedroom and it was comfortable. While we were there a painter came by to check out the job for the owners which was fine with us and especially great news he will be removing all the wallpaper and painting. It was pretty wild in one bedroom! The only complaint we had was the sofa in the living room is extremely uncomfortable. The yard is very nice and groomed. It would be wonderful place for a family vacation with children as it has it all even an outdoor shower. It’s a great place for your dog also!

The cabin is only one block from the ocean. There is a walking/bike path along the ocean and the house is very comfortable and homely.

We had a wonderful time making memories with my elderly parents at this cozy getaway. Our family has always loved the coast of California and enjoy soaking in the sea breeze and crashing surf. This home accommodated the needs of our family and was very comfortable and relaxing. The close proximity to walking paths along the coast are a plus. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect little cottage, sweet setting, beach is within walking distance, great deck to have coffee in the morning or a nice glass of local wine. House is nicely set up for cooking, very clean

Secluded location close to town. Loved seeing all the deer wander through. The house is perfect in every way -- well kept, clean and comfortable. Internet is spotty so be sure to download movies ahead of time or take advantage of their many games and puzzles instead! Weather was spectacular in mid October. Look forward to our next stay!

Lots of room, clean, quick response from local team when toilet backed up. No screens as per other visitors (even little slide ins would be nice) and the access to internet, wifi and even 5G was almost non existent. Quiet neighborhood close to ocean.

No wi-fi, my husband is house bound and no t.v. or phones the whole stay. weeds around outside fireplace couldn't use it, nails on deck should be hit down,Dining room light sparked and quit working worried about short. We were told it was reported, but no one came to fix it... Thank you, Joy Burge

Had a great time at this rental home. Walked to the beach every morning. Quiet location. Beds were comfy. Only downside, no screens on any of the windows. There are mosquitos/bees/wasps, so we couldn’t keep windows open for very long. The cool weather would have been nice to blow through the house with windows open. Great overall stay. Looking forward to staying again.

If you're after the right kind of beach-side stay, this is your cottage. Extremely comfortable stay, easy to escape and feel solitude. Miles of beach short walk from the front door. The kind of stay you hope for. Of course internet and cell were a drip feed, but that's the point folks. Break out the cards and get some digital detox.

The house was very clean. I think the living room couch needs to be replaced as it was sinking. Also some comfortable outdoor furniture would be appreciated. The beds were comfortable.

We enjoyed the time we spent at Parkside. The house was clean and ready for us to use. There are a few issues that did arise while we were there. Upon arrival we immediately noticed the roof was leaking above the window seat in the dining room. I was on hold for 30 minutes and was finally able to speak to someone at VACASA about the leak. Due to the forecasted weather we were asked to simply put a beach towel over the area where the leak was to help limit damage. There was no way to have the issue fixed or even looked at until the weather was better. While we were disappointed about the leak (we were looking forward to sitting in the window seat to read) it did not disrupt our vacation. The water pressure in the master bathroom is non existent, it was difficult to wash your hands let alone take a shower - we all used the other bathroom which had plenty of water pressure. The last two days we had issues with the heater over night (heater was set at 70 and the house was 61). The heater never caught up to the temperature it was set at. The electric fireplace was on every minute we were in the house and the heaters in the bathrooms were helpful in staying warm while getting ready and showering. Be prepared for slow internet and constant buffering if you stream something to watch (fast.com measured 1.4 - 1.8 mbps).
Overall we enjoyed our time at Parkside and we would stay there again given the opportunity. The location is ideal with beach access just a short walk down the street. The deer were fun to watch too.

Our family get-together went really smoothly in this lovely house. It's well maintained and very clean, tastefully decorated, quiet, and comfortable. Children and grand-parents loved it. Note there are board games in one of the bedroom's closets. We only found them when it was time to leave!

Great location as it is very private and quiet and the beaches are a very short walk down the street. Home is well appointed and has all you need for a pleasant stay.

We had a wonderful stay, so close to the beach we could just walk over. It felt like home away from home. We will be back in a few months.

the house was clean and there was wild life everywhere deer, skunk and squirrels. beautiful walk to the beach. Perfect place to go and get off the grid. So quiet and beautiful!!

The house is very comfortable, perfect for a small family get-together. It's somewhat secluded and private, yet close to the beach. The rental process was easy and reliable. I would definitely rent this house again.

We thought the home was comfortable and the location was good. There were some previous dog pee spots in the master bedroom which we covered with one of "our" towels so our little dog would not think it was ok. There were ants crawling on the kitchen tile and dining room walls and the bed in the master room and couch could use an exchange for a new one. But that did not ruin our trip. Everything else was perfect. This home and neighborhood is extremely quiet and very relaxing and peaceful.

We stayed here before and loved it again this time. We took a few things this time that were helpful. A non skid bath mat for the tub, extra food storage for leftovers, a beach worthy wagon to haul all our gear. Our only issue was that we were not given the code to get the keys in our emails or texts for check in. There is zero cell service at the house for our carriers, so we had to walk in the dark down the street to find a signal to call the help number. Luckily they answered and helped us into the house quickly. But make sure you have your access punch code to get in before you leave home!

We loved our stay in Ft. Bragg at Parkside. The walking trail next to the beach was perfect for daily adventures between rain storms. We enjoyed cooking and working on puzzles during our family trip for Christmas. Just far enough from town to feel remote but close enough to explore downtown Ft Bragg and take a ride on the skunk train.
