Beyond my expectations...it was perfect
Funny smell in the room

The breakfast was exceptional. The staff at the reception were welcoming and very helpful. The welcome treats were delicious and appreciated the Lindt chocolates that were provided in the rooms everyday.
The flushing system in the toilet was not working properly. The aircon was very cold as it could not be adjusted to higher temperatures. Extra blankets in the closets can be handy.

The lady who was opening the gate and the guy who took our bags from the car were friendly.
The parking bays are too small, be sure to go there with a kwid. The hotel is not child friendly, my 4 year old daughter is a very picky eater, they made me pay for her buffet even though she literally had 1 spoon of cornflakes. The following day i asked to order from a menu for her instead of the buffet, the waiter took forever to bring the menu. The waiters at breakfast are easily irritated when you ask them to do something. I have travel alot when my son was younger, never have i been to a hotel where they refuse to accommodate 4 year olds. When we got back to the room after breakfast, the room floor was very wet, as if the housekeeping just put water on the floor and didn’t mop it. For a family room to have 1 charging point is something that still shocks me. I give this hotel -1 out of 10 rating.

The breakfast was excellent. There was a big variety and the staff at the breakfast area were friendly and helpful. The area of the hotel is in a nice spot as its across the beach and theres a lovely heated pool indoor.
I didnt find the room very clean. There was empty food tray under the bed. Only two glasses and when i saw one of the staff memebers i requested for 2 extra glasses and a plastic cup for the child as we were 4 adults but there were only 2 glasses. It never came. This was the second time staying at the blue waters hotel. The first time i was impressed thats the reason for me booking again and this time for 2 nights but this time the room had a lot of cockroaches. When I was checking out i told the reception about the things i was unhappy about and the receptionist just said theyll let the manager know. I won't be checking in this hotel again after this experience.

The views from the rooms were breathtaking.
Breakfast had such variety and tasty, too.
We enjoyed the indoor heated pool until late at night.
The bed was too hard for my liking.
The waiters at breakfast literally wait for you to finish your last bite, then immediately take your plate,it made me feel rushed.

The location, the rooms, some of the staff members being helpful
security mannerism when you come back late into the hotel, they treat you as if you are taking chances and you do not stay there.
Even as you give them your room number they rudely block your way from entering the elevator whilst the check on their spreadsheet or they hold the clip board in a manner that is blocking you from moving. (15/02/24, 16/02/24,19/02/24).
Funny enough when my other friend had visitors they didn’t stop them to ask them about their room numbers, mind you these were men, yet they stop women who happen to be guests at their hotel whom they saw checking in by themselves, leaving the hotel by themselves and coming back to the hotel by themselves
House keeping is biased according to the Color of your skin
I called to ask for plastic spoons they never pitched until I went to my friend in his room asked him to call on my behalf the spoons came almost immediately (16/0/.24)
The property has to consider replacing the sewerage pipes as being on the 10th floor right at the corner meant that it had unpleasant smells in the mornings
My other friend reported the same thing and they stayed on the 7th floor
The last nights stay (19/02/24) was a pleasant one as the lady at reception Nosipho was very helpful, she also remembered us from our previous stay there when we frequently had troubles with our access cards that kept on deactivating as a result we had frequent trips to the reception area

The rooms were nice and big. Loved the TV set as well. The breakfast was nice . The view from my room was superb. The rooms were fairly clean.
First impression was not good. It took me almost 3 hours to check in. That messed up my plans for the day. The other thing i was on floor 10 where the swimming pool was and the floor was full of water most of the time.

The staff were friendly always ready to help. The rooms were always kept clean, on a daily basis. The rooms are modern and offer great views of the Beachfront and Moses Mabhida Stadium. The restaurant offered a variety of great food, in a buffet format. Overall, it turned out to have been a great family holiday destination. It was great so see many other families.
There were no utensils provided to make coffee or tea.

The place was nice and clean, breakfast was excellent. The porters and security officers are friendly and welcoming
Parking space is too limited and they dont seem to care or worry about ppl parking on the street, they dont even mind saying parking at own risk yet you are their guest

The property is next to the beach and the buffet breakfast is good
The carpets and curtains need to be washed as they’re not in good condition and they smell bad

The location was phenomenal,
The breakfast was exceptional,
The views "Front sea facing" were beautiful
On arrival, the lady and gentleman at reception were extremely rude and unfriendly, making it feel as if I am staying for free and they were doing me a favor, the lady (Nonku) gave us a room (411) that had another room with a gab between the door that I couldn't enter but anyone could see and hear anything happening in my room, I then requested a room change the very next morning with another gentleman at reception (Charles Moyo), he made the note and said they would contact me once available. I went back after 11, spoke to the same lady that "helped" when I arrived, told her I requested a room change, she looked at me and raised her eyebrow as if how dare I, again making me feel as if she was doing me a favor. I then paid for three days parking, she wrote down 2 days, making me look like a fool on the third day waiting and blocking the parking as they wouldn't let me in ...
On the last day, we had just gotten back to the room after breakfast, we were occupied gathering our things in the room and another staff member just opens the door without knocking, just entering with her "master key" which was highly unprofessional and unacceptable while my husband was half naked. Overall, unfortunately, due to the staff, unfriendliness, and unprofessionalism, I will not be visiting this hotel again.
On the other hand, well done to the front desk manager and Charles Moyo. You guys should be promoted to higher positions and do something with some of the staff you have working under you.

It is right by the ocean with nice views.
During 5 days stay, 4 times I found cockroaches in my room.

Cleanliness and the food
The aircon in the room was very noisy and had a bad smell. There was also nothing special about our stay while I specified during the booking that it was for our wedding anniversary.

Great breakfast… I love the staff from the breakfast we even tipped them because they are so kind and welcoming. The food was amazing and had everything. The cappuccino was great. The security staff was also so welcoming and great.

The breakfast was top tier & all the kitchen stuff wery friendly. The only thing thats good about blue waters is the view, & the breakfast
We got the water when we got to the room & the following day we were told it comes a complimentary when you check in but we booked there for 5days. So now the question is that “where we supposed to check out everyday & check in again in order to get the complimentery water everday?? We even had to ask for the spoons for the coffee
