About this cabin rental
Property is lakeside on the large 23 mile Lake Livingston, in wilderness with lots of trees, nature, wildlife, fishing, bird watching, relaxing, but yet also is conveniently only 2 miles from city grocery store and restaurants!
The cabin is a 2 story luxury log cabin that sleeps up to 7, it has housed 7 adults but we suggest 4 or 5 adults max & the rest children. It is 800 sqft, has 2 bedrooms, plus a loft with 3 beds, so 5 beds total.
Interior is knotty pine, hickory kitchen cabinets, white marble backsplash and countertops, cable tv, WiFi, all the comforts of quality beds, furniture, fully equiped kitchen, etc.
We also offer;
> small craft rentals at $35/day per kayak, canoe, peddle, &/or row boat.
> Jon boat w/trolling motor, 2 batteries, paddle and life vests at $50 for 4 hours, $10 (for each additional hour), or all day $75.
> pontoon boat rental w/ captain for touring, fishing trip, and or family fun with swimming & pull toys at $150 minimum, approx 2 hours, on up to max 4 people for fishing trip, and 8 for touring.
There are 5 cabins, 8 RV sites, 3 piers, 3 boat slips, 2 fish cleaning stations, and FM 356 is near. Please also see our other cabins and their availability at;
Cabin 1, sleeps 2, at Vrbo: 9464546
cabin 2, sleeps 4, at Vrbo: 1323933
cabin 3, sleeps 5, at Vrbo: 1340797
cabin 5, sleeps 4, at Vrbo: 9464533
Cabin has double wood siding interior & exterior that keeps it quiet inside, good people & rules make it great, or we help enforce quiet time rules. FM 356 traffic is normally quiet at night but can have some traffic noise during day.
Also not in cabins and or not normally any nuisance to people, but guests should be aware that we are on a natural lake and there can be in wetlands area across the street or in brush snakes, spiders, snapper turtles, alligator across the bridge, hawks, eagles, raccoons, etc. No real danger but occasionally for a couple days usually in spring or early summer, mom alligator will come and drop off a baby alligator off every couple years, stats with it a couple days then leaves. Baby tends to be about 3’ to max 3.5’ when this happens, is too small to be issue, can still only eat max size bullfrogs, kind of fun to watch, but then normally leaves as well within a few weeks cuz too much activity from us. Parks & Wildlife and licensed trappers both said to leave them alone when this small, just do what we do because most the little one can do is eat bullfrog and will leave to find different home if we keep up our activities. And after 8 years we see this is correct.

Great place to stay for some quiet time with your family. The only thing missing, was fans on the front deck and or blinds from the sun.

The cabin was equipped with everything we needed. It was very close to the lake. The communication between us and the host was very good. We were able to rent kayaks there which was a plus. Everything was in working order. Will definitely be coming here again. I recommend for families looking for a small get-away.

Enjoyed the cabin for a family retreat.
Location is right off state highway, so you will still have road noise. But lake view is great.

Our family booked this cabin as a last minute summer getaway and really enjoyed our time. The lake was lower than expected but nature is nature and that is no fault of the owner. Rick and Bernadette were wonderful hosts and very responsive.

It was very nice
The owners are amazing!! They truly care about the people that come here. The cabin was nice and big and had everything we needed. It was also very clean. The AC's worked great but they were VERY loud which made it a bit hard to sleep. Even though it says swimming is available; the water was very dirty and brown. And we were informed that there is a baby alligator now. So we chose not to go swimming. The only thing we didn't like was the fact that there were spiders everywhere. On the outdoor furniture/cushions. The fishing pier and boats and the playground. And I don't mean your occasional bug/spider because you are outdoors. I am talking about hundreds of them. There were nests and webs everywhere. If they would be gone this would have been one fantastic vacation!! Overall it was really nice there and we enjoyed our visit very much :) Thank you Bernadette and Rick for being amazing hosts.

Great place to relax!
The property was awesome! Perfect for families. Had everything you would need in kitchen, and bbq outside as well as near dock. Fish cleaning station came in handy for the big blue catfish we caught! Absolutely love this place!

Summer Fun!
Great little spot for families with kids. Nice little floating dock. Pier was nice as well, however there were so many spiders that we couldn't enjoy it at night. I know the owners can't control nature, however knocking the webs down daily may discourage them. Overall, it was clean, AC was nice and cold, kids had a blast swimming and fishing.

Wonder family Vacation
Bernadette was the sweetest, friendliness lady, we just loved her. We had a fantastic family vacation. We took our adult children, grandson and dogs and we all had a blast fishing, swimming, kayaking and boating. My husband loved that he could dock his boat on the property. Thank you for a great family vacation.

Great place to bring in the new year! 2021
My family and I stayed in Cabin 4 from December 31 - January 3! We had the very best time. Chilling, eating, sitting by the fire, fishing, enjoying the property and each other. I had my children there as well as family children so the row boats and paddle boats with life vests were awesome! Ms. Burnadette was very accommodating and helpful with fire wood and where we could go in town to get bait for fishing.. If you’re looking for a real down to earth place to chillax, take a load off, put your hair in a bun and just BE, this place rocks!! We will definitely be back in the summer!!! Happy New Year everyone!!

Friendly couple, good stay at reasonable price
Property was clean, had kayaks, paddle boats and canoes. Owners are very friendly. The only complaint was I wish it were a more scenic part of the lake, but that is something out of Rick's hands.

A great weekend
We were very happy with the accommodations at B&R Lakeside Cabins. Cabin number 4 was perfect for us. The AC works GREAT, which was important given the heat and humidity. The property owners were very friendly, accommodating, and provided us with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We cooked 5 meals for 5 people in the kitchen onsite. The shower is very nice! The lake is beautiful, the area around the cabins well-maintained and with a secluded "feel". We brought along our two medium-sized dogs and they had a blast. The porch looking out on the lake was the perfect place to relax, enjoy a few beverages, and take in the view!
Will definitely be back in the future. This was a nice little weekend getaway!

Absolutely amazing!!!
The kids and I truly enjoyed ourselves. We needed a place to just get away and this place definitely allowed us to. The cabin was great, the access to the lake was so easy, we loved the access to the boats and fishing was challenging but fun. The hostess showed us so much generosity and was always readily available. We will definitely return. I wish we could have stayed longer. 😁
