A localização é óptima perto da praia fluvial, a piscina também é uma boa opção. Os quartos são muito confortáveis e espaçosos e a cama muito boa. O pequeno almoço é muito bom e os funcionários são muito simpáticos e sempre disponíveis do melhor que existe na região

Não há muito a apontar talvez um pouco de cuidado nos quartos em termos de reparação mas nada demais ou que atrapalhe a estadia

It was indeed a peculiar experience.

Close to Monsaraz that is a beautiful place

Our stay in this place was too short. After expressing dissatisfaction with the service quality, I was contacted by the owner who asked us to leave the property. We couldn't understand how a simple remark on the service quality led to such a drastic decision by the owner. It was a very strange experience after many years of traveling around the world. It seems reasonable to ask ourselves what the true motivation was behind the owner's unfriendly initiative.

Prachtige locatie, met mooie, nette kamers. Fantastisch ontbijt.

Aan de receptie sprak men enkel Portugees, geen Engels of Frans. De receptioniste deed wel moeite en was zeer vriendelijk.De communicatie gebeurde via Google Translate. Wij waren de enige gasten die gebruik maakten van het restaurant. We hadden het gevoel dat het niet de bedoeling was om er te dineren, we konden enkel 1 gerecht eten.

Lovely stay in the countryside

Horta da Coutada is a lovely countryside stay away from the crowds. The services of the place are great (swimming pool, food, common areas etc.) and the room was very comfy as well. A friendly staff that was always willing to help :)

The wifi had some issues during our stay It's not really a walkable distance to Monsaraz village due to the steep hill and heat, but going by car was ok too

A very lovely place to stay, to see the area and relax.

Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was delicious with a wide range of quality local produce. The room was lovely: very modern and stylish. I loved that I could sit outside in the morning and watch the sun rise, with a coffee. It's a great location to see the area, providing peace and comfort. I stayed an extra night, it was so lovely and I felt I could spend more time in the area pottering about. There are lovely walks from or nearby the accommodation, with great restaurants too.

I am always puzzled when a place has landscaped gardens but they fail to keep them pristine - that's just an observation: I took photos of the cypress trees which lined the entrance...with the odd branches sticking out at all angles cos I thought it was funny. It was such a stylish place, but a little more garden maintenance would have given it the wow factor, that it seems they were aiming for. The pool could have been improved if they'd 'hoovered' it in the mornings too. Two such little things that could easily be improved to give this a 10.

Great location - extremely quiet.

Great location really close to Monsaraz castle/village. nice, good size, clean room overlooking the swimming pool with nice outside terrace. Very limited dinner selection, but food was good and reasonable value. Breakfast buffet was very good. Ample shaded car parking on site.

Having to make dinner choice at point of booking in (mid afternoon) seemed weird - albeit it became clear we were the only guests having dinner that night and the operation was being run by a skeleton staff - receptionist also ran the bar, served dinner etc etc. Not a big issue, just unusual.

This place is just awesome. Nice outdoor spaces, very comfortable bedding staff was very attentive. usually find rural/farm stays disappointing. This was upside surprise Note it’s 2 to 3 km from Monsarez so not for you if you want to stay in village

Exceptional

This quiet place close to Monsaraz was the perfect place to relax after a long day driving and visiting the area. We winded down in a country-style lounge area with the fireplace going, nibbled on some biscuits and drank some tea (always available for clients), before ordering a cheese platter and some scrambled eggs. The modern decorated room, with white linens, white rugs and grey floors, had a country style influence, with the flower-patterned cushions, the throw, and the iron wall decor. Everything was spotlessly clean. The property has a swimming pool with lounge chairs, and some nice shaded areas, which will probably be welcomed during the hot Summer months; a lawn where children, as well as adults, can sit and and relax; a small playground; a basketball hoop; an orchard and a watermill (small children should be supervised, as there are several iron sharp edges). Breakfast was fantastic, full of delicious local produce (several types of cheese, local and others, smoked ham, chorizo, etc), home-made cake, several jams (quince, orange and others), cereals, yoghurts, a wide choice of bread, scrambled eggs, bacon, pressed orange juice, coffee, tea, milk (non-dairy: rice, oat, as well as lactose-free and regular semi-skimmed). Staff was very helpful and friendly.

I would say that the AC technical area at the far end of the building would look better if it had some type of wood or metal structure, instead of the existing bamboo slat one.
