The apartment/ home in Koblenz was a wonderful stop for our family. The home was spacious and had beautiful views of the city and river. It was well equipped for us to cook a few meals from. It was a little tricky to find at first, but the detailed instructions were very helpful and we were able to do so. Our host was wonderful!! She was always Quick and ready to respond to our Request or questions. We would highly recommend this property!!!

The house location is amazing with panoramic views of Koblenz. A Hugh house with TV room, lounge to look at the city views, modern kitchen with everything required to cook in at home, large bedrooms with the best sheets and bed is ultra comfy. Everything was immaculate and extremely clean. 10 out 10 does not justify the score. Give it a 20 out 10.

An home where you are at home, good beds, clean, spatious, and a great view over Koblenz and the Rhein.
Little minus: the noise of the container trains in the night and the church bels from 7 AM.
The hill from parking to the house is very steep, there is an bus stop (line 10, every 30 minutes) to the town in 80 meters but back to home temporaly out of order

This vrbo must be seen to be believed. The property itself was beautiful and the views were breathtaking. The house came equipped with everything we needed for an enjoyable vacation. This was our first accommodation on arriving in Germany, and all others will have a hard time measuring up!

Enjoyed our time, good public transport connections, and atmospheric views. Hill not a problem!

The property was located near the fort and the sky lift.
You have to walk on a steep hill. Carrying luggage in was horrible..

Spectacular View
Large open floorplan with good cross air flow. You have to be a bit of a Sherlock Holmes to find the parking and the apartment. You must be able to manage uphill climbing to reach the apartment. Luckily we had our 24 year old son with us to get the luggage there. But this is all clearly stated in the owner's description. View is magnificent and location is near base of the fortress.

Beautiful property! Thoughtful hosts had kids toys, books, and drawing supplies. We were in heaven watching the sunset each night and wish we had booked a longer stay!
Although we were not super close to the tourist spots, the 9/19 bus was easy to use and the bus drivers spoke English and were helpful too.

What a great place this was. We could not have asked for a better place in Koblenz. The apartment and the view was amazing ! Also Dagmar was very helpful and kind to us. And the bottle of wine she left for us, was lovely! Thank you so much for everything. I hope we will book another stay in the future.

Awesome VRBO experience!!!!!
I can't say enough positive about this place! We have stayed in a lot of VRBO's and this by far was the best. Usually, when you see the pictures, they are better looking than the actual place. But in this case it was the reverse. The apartment in Koblenz has to be seen to be believed. The actual place is way better than the pictures indicate! An awesome view of the Rhine river, Deutches Eck statue and Koblenz right out the window. To the right you can see the fort too which is very close by. A short walk down the road and you can get to the ferry boat to get across the Rhine to the Rhine river boats and old area. Place was immaculate and they even left us a nice bottle of local wine which was very tasty. This placed is a must if you want to stay in Koblenz. We want to return soon!

Absolutely beautiful house a and pictures can't come close to describing the view. Everything was immaculate, and extremely well appointed. Can't recommend this gem enough!

Panoramic paradise
My husband and I travel to Koblenz for business several times a year, staying in hotels apart hotels etc. This apartment is superlative to all accommodations we have ever rented. The architecture and vistas are second to none. We were a group of 5 adults and there was plenty of room and privacy in the layout of the apartment. Exceptionally clean and inviting with homemade jam awaiting us ! Arriving on a Sunday when shops are closed, the host arranged at a minimal costs breakfast foods for the morning. If available we would love to stay here again, and again. Thank you Dagmar for your hospitality, your response time and use of your beautiful home.

Wonderful views. Well equipped apartment. An English translation for the information and instructions would have been very helpful.

The pictures and description are not nearly adequate enough to describe how wonderful this property is. The view is spectacular, the house is large, the amenities are fantastic and there is really nothing more you could ask for.
I gave the property 4 stars as it is not walking distance to Koblenz - if you want to go into the city you must drive. However, there is a grocery store within walking distance of the house as well as several cafes, restaurants, and of course, the Rhein river walkway.
The house is situated high enough over the other houses that the view of the Rhein and the Deutches Eck is exceptional. In addition, the house sits virtually next to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress and the view of that is stunning, also.
As noted in other reviews, there is quite a steep climb from the parking area to the house. It was quite difficult with heavy luggage and multiple bags of groceries, however once you are in the house, standing or sitting on one of the multiple balconies, you forget the steep climb. Also noted in other reviews, there are church bells that ring every 15 minutes during the day, stop during the night and then begin again at 7am. They will wake you in the morning.
There were no issues with WIFI while we were there and it was easy to connect to - the owner has left an excellent guide covering many useful topics in the desk.
We feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to stay at this well-maintained, clean, and comfortable home. I am sure you will not be disappointed.

This huge apartment is situated in the Altstadt quarter of Koblenz, near the Ehrbreitstein Fortress. The living room seemed large enough to rehearse the Stuttgart Ballet Company in and had floor to ceiling windows all around, offering far reaching urban views over the Rhine and Koblenz city. The dining room and master bedroom also possessed these windows which could slide open to reveal the balcony which ran around the outside and where we sat most of the time. The apartment was cheerfully decorated in a blend of traditional and contemporary design, it was magnificently appointed and it was obvious that careful thought had gone into the comfort of guests. There was a fully functioning kitchen and in the cellar there was an excellent laundry room; the entire house was cleaned to perfection. The owner, Dagmar, lives in Hamburg, but communicated clearly and helpfully with us at all times, including finding and booking a vet for our Golden Retriever (for the UK Pet Passport Scheme requirements). Lidl was nearby, but it was smaller and with far more restricted product lines than the English branches. The better option was REWE, about the same distance away in the opposite direction. There was an excellent bookshelf filled with books and tourist information. As a location it was ideal, allowing us to travel both northwards and southwards along the River Rhine for sightseeing. The Moselle Valley was another option, but we had already had a holiday there. The Lahn Valley and Bad Ems was also a terrific discovery and well worth the visit. There was an allocated parking space, but even in a small car, getting into and out of it was tricky. The main downside for us was access, either down a steep footpath or up flights of stone steps, neither of them easy with heavy baggage or family shopping: definitely unsuitable for the unfit or infirm. We had an enjoyable stay and a fabulous holiday in sunny Germany that we will remember forever. Our grateful thanks go to Dagmar for making it possible.

Beautiful condo with great view
Decorated very feng shui and modern. Walter is a delight to meet and greets you for your stay. Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen. Can sleep 6 because the reading room has two "murphy" beds you can pull out of the closet. This worked well so we could each have our own room. 2 bedrooms otherwise and 1 1/2 baths. Good way to see the Rhine Valley and River. Only 7 minutes away over the bridge to the dock for a cruise. We cruised with KD and it was very nice. Best places to stop on the way - Boppard, St. Goar and Rudescheim. However, we drove to Rudescheim so we could go to the Hildegaard of Bingin Abbey and Winery. Their medium dry Riesling was wonderful.
Only negative I would say about the stay is the church bell next door. If it would have rung the amount of times of the hour, that would have been ok because you could hear it and fall back to sleep but it rings at 7 a.m. for 5 full minutes which woke me up every morning whether I wanted to get up or not. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

Beautiful spacious place with a great location and breathtaking view!
Me and my family of 5 originally booked this place for 4 nights and extended our stay for 6. Dagmar was easy to communicate with and responded promptly to any questions I had. The apartment has a fabulous view of the Moselle and Reine River, the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, and a short walking distance to the market. The place is spacious with 3 rooms, kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would need, 2 bathrooms and a wrap around balcony so you can enjoy the view. Walter our neighbor was very pleasant and was very helpful with our questions. If I ever come back to Koblenz I will be booking this place again.

Nice, comfy, and roomy.
Very nice, comfy and roomy condo for five of us with reasonable price. It has nice view as well if people don't mind climbing a little hill and some stairs. We liked it a lot. It has kitchen and necessary amenities. The WiFi works great in the living area where it's located but not at all in the bedroom. Overall it was a great experience for us. If I have a chance to come back, I would definitely stay here again.

Ferienwohnung Schwickerath - A Most Pleasant Place to Rest and Relax in Koblenz
I discovered this property nine months prior to our stay (May 25-28, 2016), and knew that it should be a perfect respite in which to wash clothes and relax between two week-long bicycle tours. My wife and I biked Lake Constance/The Bodensee prior to arriving in Koblenz. After our stay in Koblenz we did a riverboat and bicycle tour up the Rhine from Koblenz to Speyer.
The apartment description and photos are accurate. Dagmar, the owner, is most responsive with communications and most helpful with answering questions. Her home is the most comfortable and spacious place we have ever rented for holiday travel. It is excellently furnished and is immaculately clean. Walter greeted us with a cheerful welcome including a complimentary bottle of wine and treats in the kitchen.
The hillside location in Ehrenbreitstein overlooking the Rhine to Koblenz and the Deutches Eck is picture post card perfect. The home itself is a beautiful masterpiece of contemporary architecture and furnishings.
We arrived in Koblenz via train and took a taxi to the apartment (Dagmar shares excellent directions to give the taxi driver). While there we got around easily via foot and ferry. A grocery store and bakery are conveniently located downhill, and a few cafes are in the immediate neighborhood.
If we ever get back to Koblenz we will certainly look forward to another visit to Ferienwohnung Schwickerath!

Beautiful property with great views!
The vacation rental was spacious and comfortable. The property was clean and well-maintained. The kitchen was well stocked. The views of Koblenz and the Rhein were amazing. It was a nice walk to the city and the fortress. There was a bus stop a short walk away. The owner and neighbors were very kind and helpful. Our toddler son loved the toy chest full of Legos. We would definitely stay at this property again and recommend it to friends and family.
