Boranup Cottage is unique, quirky, comfortable and peaceful. We loved the eclectic decor and furnishings, the cosey fire and being surrounded by trees and the night sky.
Jane was super helpful and friendly, quick to respond and answer any queries.
It's in an excellent location for exploring the caves and everything between the capes.
Highly recommend staying here.

Our stay at Boranup cottage was a wonderful getaway and we thoroughly enjoyed the serenity and peace of the forest around us. The cottage was well equipped and had everything we needed. We also appreciated being able to take our 'fur-child' with! The only thing I would say is that the mattresses on the sleeper couches were very thin and not very comfortable for my children to sleep on. But we would love to visit again!

Accomodation was great, close to attractions and very pet friendly.

A little tired in its presentation, very poor cork floor tiles, damaged fly screens, microwave not working (located new unit in storage area and installed it) BBQ didn’t get hot enough to cook. No door to vanity room, Bedroom door difficult to close/open hence noisy. Its a shame as the location is idyllic, a few less flies and flying ants would have been good, the proximity to a delightful cafe was a bonus after doing the tourist thing each day, Would we book again, probably yes but earlier in the year,

If you want to see the Boronup Forest this is the perfect location; great spot close to both Margaret River and Augusta but in a quiet bush setting. The cottage was well appointed and comfortable for our group of 5 adults and 3 dogs.

Stunning setting in a delightful cottage property. The facilities provided everything we needed, including logs for the fire during our winter stay.
Dog friendly was a bonus… we wouldn’t stay without our doggo so it was great to have access to such a nice place.

We loved being in this little haven with its fabulous hot tub- comfy lounge and kitchen was well supplied. It is picturesque and private.
Our dog loved it too.
Firewood was all chopped and ready to go.
The third room was really more like a bathroom/ laundry and would have been very cold to sleep in at this time of year if needing to use the extra bed- we were happy in the two bedrooms provided.
I would have loved an electric blanket ☺️to make it even warmer as it was a very cold week.
We would definitely come back and highly recommend.
Jane was very helpful when I contacted her.
Thank you.

Cute cottage for our winter stay, a little cold this time of year even with fire place but bedding warm and cosy

The cottage is situated in partially cleared forest, just south of the Margaret River township. Kangaroos and emus are often heard and sometimes seen - very exciting for our dog! Early morning walks through the planted native gardens are wonderful - the flowers of grevilleas and banksias and hakeas and other flowering bushes and trees attract a myriad of birds - also exciting for our dog! Boranup Cottage is a very peaceful and relaxing holiday destination, that is also well situated for visits to all the tourist and natural experiences in the Margaret River/Augusta region. It is highly recommended, especially by Pippa, our Border Terrier!!

Beautiful location and the cottage was cosy and well-appointed with everything we needed. Very relaxing holiday and the kids had a ball. We were impressed with how the heat from the log fire permeated through the rammed earth and warmed the whole cottage.
One point to note is that the third 'bedroom' is also the laundry/bathroom, containing the spa and the washing machine/dryer, and the beds are foldaway beds. It wasn't really an issue for us because we had a toddler in our portacot in there, but if you need 3 bedrooms this may be a consideration.
Overall a lovely stay and we didn't really want to go home!

Accuracy of online listing exactly as it looks. A fantastic rustic feel cottage with a relaxing atmosphere surrounded by the Boranup forest filled with birds of all kinds which come and visit on the doorstep. Perfect location for daily visits to Margs, the caves and the must see snorkel site at Redgate beach. We'll come again!

The property was situated in a quiet area of Boranup Forest and nestled back enough from Caves Road that it was completely silent which is exactly what we wanted. Very tranquil, lovely bird song to wake you up in the morning and the gallery and adjacent Pies and Ale restaurant were stand outs and places we recommend to visit. We also go engaged on this trip at the close location of Hamelin Bay - so this trip was extra special for us!

Feels like a home away from home. A place you could stay for weeks. Did not know you could stay this close to the Boranup forest. Surrounded by fairy wrens and honey eaters. Private from other properties. A wonderful place to bring family and dogs! Thank you for having us!

Boranup Bliss
Lovely spot to stay out of the way in Margaret River, Jane was unbelievably easy to deal with and the weekend was a nice way to wind down with my pup, sister had her kids, lovely spot only 20 minutes from Margs but in the heart of the Forrest.

Great little getaway in the forest
Well equipped cottage that is perfect for 3-4 people. We were glad we had the wood fire as the nights were quite cold. The location is perfect - 20min away from the Margaret River hustle surrounded by peaceful woods.

Tucked away in the forest.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The kitchen and house was very well equipped with everything I needed. Master bed was super comfy. The storm was raging outside, but the rammed earth construction makes the house safe and warm. The fire was a bonus but not really needed as the house was so well insulated. If you are looking for something off the track, and tucked up in the bush, then this is perfect. Phone reception is lousy, but for me, that was a bonus!!

Tranquil Forest Retreat
We loved our stay at Boranup Cottage. It was the perfect back-to-nature getaway. Jane was very efficient and helpful in all her communications both prior to and during our stay. I made a mistake in our booking that she sorted straight away and then we had a wifi connection issue and she replied that evening to our email to assist us. The cottage is delightful. It is as described surrounded by forest, bush, and wildlife. The cottage was super clean, so too were towels, linen etc. We were all very comfortable and were impressed by all the kitchen appliances, utensils, coffee pod machine. My family wanted to surf and the cottage was really well located for surfing at Redgate beach. We chose this accommodation also as we were able to bring our mini labradoodle. Thank you for being dog-friendly! We just wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you, Jane!

Peaceful Escape
A secret little hideaway to drop out and just bask in the beauty of Boranup forest. Our days were spent savouring and drinking in the magnificence of the forest which was a stone's throw from the cottage. Time spent drawing, reading folding origami, cooking and soaking in the tub, watching the many species of birds, bangarras and kangaroos. We also visited Vasse Felix Winery for a beautiful lunch in there gorgeous surrounds, had dinner at Morries which was a vibrant great little hub catering well to vegetarians and enjoyed a great yoga class at Swell Yoga with Maria. The cottage was comfortable with a lovely shower although the furniture, in particular the couch and mattress were a little tired and the lighting a bit dim. We overlooked these minor issues however as the environment was so beautiful. Thanks Jane, we will hopefully be back again sometime for the peace and serenity your cute little cottage offers.

Great location and so unbelievably peaceful. A wonderful place to stay.

Good, once found
Nice place and location. It was hard to find at night as the sign showing the entrance was pretty far from the track which meant that it doesn’t show up in the headlights.
Arrived to find it cold and with just a few large logs for the fire. Wasn’t expecting to be walking around looking at night looking for kindling to get a fire going. It’s a nice place that was good for the children too once settled in.

Beautiful getaway. Very peaceful in the Boranup Forest.
We loved staying here. Our dog’s enjoyed exploring the smells in the forest. Beautiful views out the window. Lots of bird life visiting through the day. We had late mornings and then explored the nearby towns. Log fire was great for the cold nights and mornings. Jane as very helpful when we got lost using google maps.

Forest retreat
A lovely hideaway with beautiful surrounding forest. Gorgeous bush walking and bird-life to enjoy.
The house has everything you need - including a nespresso coffee machine and more than enough firewood - thanks!
Only negative was that second bedroom beds were not made and no linen provided for second bedroom. I had to use duvet covers as sheets on beds. The stay was most enjoyable and everything else was great.

Boranup Stay
We had a fantastic stay at Boranup cottage. Jane was fantastic, even going as far as buying a tumble dryer so that we could dry our clothes in the wet weather! The cottage is beautiful. The kids lived the spa bath after long walks on the beach and we lived the log burner. Great for the dog too. The cottage is well located for beaches, forests, wineries and trips to Augusta and Margaret River. We loved it and would come again!

Lovely property but issues with lights and mice
Lovely setting and nice cottage. Not really 3 bedrooms but there is a spa/store area that can be set up as 3rd bedroom. We had some issues with mice and lights not working (property manager investigating). Due to the location mobile coverage is intermittent but you can get a more stable signal walking up the driveway.
