We loved everything, very good food, fantastic breakfast. Very nice staff! Very nice view from the room and lovely beds and perfect room.
Could have had more soaps in the bathroom, but not so important to us, we brought our own soaps in case

The place and view good
Restaurant was closed, village or town terribly boring, no normal restaurant to be found. Next to hotel a campsite, terrible. Hotel room was cheap, badly made, bathroom below standard (Bath broken), bed very bad, never slept so badly.

Location
Hotel standard not well maintained, loose tiles outside, 1st night no air conditioning, some areas need a good coat of paint.

The location is great. on the side of the Fjord. The young lady that served us in the bar and the restaurant was superb. Very kind and helpful. The room & bathroom was also very nice.
To get to the property you have to drive through a campsite which isn’t terribly nice. We stopped on route to Stavanger. There was hardly anyone staying at the hotel, it was very quiet. There was no option on Booking.com to book a double room so we opted for the twin. On arrival it was clear that there wasn’t many guests. the lady that checked us in, wasn’t very friendly. We asked if there was any chance to have a double room instead of the twin we had booked, the lady informed us that we would have to pay more if we wanted one, actually quite a lot more on top of what we had already paid. We decided to stick with the Twin. The room we were given was on the first floor next door to the meeting room. the room it’s self was lovely. our view was to the rear of the hotel and over looking the campsite. Not a nice view at all. A shame really. I actually think as a Booking.com guest you only get the rooms that are harder to sell.
The hotel has a captive audience as the town only has a bar that opens on a Friday and Saturday evening. we only spotted one other restaurant which was a Chinese which we didn’t really fancy. So we decided to stay in the hotel to eat. The menu was very limited but what they offered sounded nice. my husband had the fish soup which was very salty and milky. I had the Duck Salad which was lovely. We both opted for the Fish of the Day (which was Ling) unfortunately this also was very salty and lacking in flavour.

You could tell that the staff enjoyed their roles - I was impressed . . . Great food/chicken salad

Location is AMAZING and the free tickets to the water park was an added bonus. We had a junior suite and the view was beautiful.
Due to covid restrictions breakfast was served to us. There would be far less waste if you provided a menu and guests could select what they wanted. Every table had a lot of food and drinks left on them plus an enormous amount of small dishes that needed clearing and washing.

The hotel area offers many different activities: hiking, sup 200 nok an hour with free life vests, bikes for free, crab fishing, nearby bading resort included, beach... so anyone can find something to do depending on his interest. It also has a indoor children playroom and billard
The apartment had a freezer!
On the terrace are seats and table.
The staff was very friendly.
The view is beautiful.
The location is practical.
We stayed in one of the apartments next to the hotel building. Here the WiFi signal was rarely working (we stayed one week) and then staff couldn't fix the technical problem. It was possible to walk with the device to the main building though where the signal was strong.
The space in the sleeping rooms was narrow but typical for a flat.
Could have been more closets for storing clothes. Only a small commode in the parent room. Nothing in the kids room.
Not enough plugs.

The breakfast was good. The bed was comfy and the room over all was clean. The staff was really nice and helpful. We got tickets to Sorlandsbadet when we booked the Room.
The shower didn’t have a rubber sweep under the doors so the whole bathroom got flooded when I took a shower. It was really hard to find a parking spot. It was really hot in the room and there was no air condition. Was really hard to sleep in the heat even though we opened a window. It was so light at 6 am because the curtains were bad.

Great restaurant, and amazing service - some of the best I've experienced in Norway. Spacious, comfortable and relaxing. We ended up liking it so much we extended our stay with one day. Great setting next to the beach and just next to the spa and swimming resort Sørlandsbadet (which unfortunately was covid-closed when we visited, so I can't rate that). It's also not far to walk into nearby Lyngdal, which has a couple of nice restaurants. I can greatly recommend "Sjø".
Slightly on the expensive side. We had booked a room with jacuzzi, which was great, but then it feels a bit underwhelming to have a big joint shampoo/soap bottle in the shower. Not quite the spa feel it could have been. But these are just details.

Excellend breakfast. Nice sunny balcony eith sea views. Comfy beds. Good showers
Sad that the spa and pool was not available because of Covid.
