La ubicacio, habitacio amplia, bones explicacions per part de la Montse sobre els orígens del edifici.
Les escales i falta d’asensor.

Exceptional hotel. Beautiful building. Atmospheric huge room with beautiful views of the bridge. Staying over New Year we were worried about access to bars/restaurants and whilst breakfast was available and delicious there was no where to eat in the evening. We needn’t have worried, what a warm and friendly welcome and an opportunity to use the kitchen and beautiful adjoining room with open fire. Joining our host and fellow guests in the main square at New Year was quite magical. Add to that the level of comfort, the welcome our elderly dog was given and the beautiful town it was one of the highlights of our month long trip that we will never forget. We cannot thank the wonderful and exceptional staff enough.
Leaving, we will return.

Hotel interior very nice and cozy, like old castle.
View from balcony to the bridge was stunning.
Breakfast very various, big and tasty like in 4* hotel.
Location 2min from Besalu oldtown.

A bit expensive.

The breakfast was as good as any you’d expect in a fine hotel
The location right next to the medieval bridge was lovely
The best part is the staff. The very nice lady who checked me in also gave me a tour of the property which was above and beyond expectations. My room afforded a view of the bridge, which was a real plus. Eating breakfast on an outside terrace overlooking the town and it’s bridge was very special.

Everything. Great views from room overlooking bridge. Lovely air conditioned room. Very comfortable beds. Very very helpful staff. Would stay here again.
No hotel car park BUT a free car park very very nearby and hotel staff more than happy to help with luggage.

The location was excellent! Right next to the beautiful, historic bridge. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was lovely.
The half open shower in the bathroom does not contain all the water properly. It flows out to the bathroom floor which then needs to be cleaned up. So it’s a bit messy.

Cannot say enough good things! Absolutely loved this hotel. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Location at the foot of the iconic bridge is unbeatable. Hotel retains the character and beauty of the original house while providing modern comforts like coffee and mini bar in the room. Free parking is the cherry on top!

Exceptional staff from multilingual receptionist to housekeeping and maintenance. Staff we always pleased to make a travellers life easier.location meant that we could always visit the towns historical centre before and after the day-tripper hoards arrived. Also great location to visit surrounding areas ,lakes and volcanic area with interesting food.
Felt we were looked after as part of a team.
This property was maybe about 100 years old and whist the drawing room and library were wonderful the upper patio area floor area could do with repainting especially as this area was great for eating breakfast and viewing the adjacent hills. Notwithstanding this it did not spoil the experience.

The staff, the jacuzzi, the breakfast and the overall friendliness of everyone we met. It's a great place to relax and disconnect.

friendly staff and good location overlooking the bridge
The room wall and toilet floor had mould spots which was not the most pleasant. the room was also very dark. in general it is a rather old accommodation in need for renovation

We were there in the off season and were disappointed that some of the hotels usual amenities and outdoor locations for relaxing were not available for us to use.

Good location near the scenic bridge.
A nice large room with views in two directions.
Bathroom with a walk in shower.
comfortable and large bed.
Easy parking next to the hotel.
There was nowhere to dine in town and we didn’t know that. The hotel has a vending machine where we tried to get hold of 2 microwave meals, however, they got stuck and didn’t come out. So we had a hungry and unpleasant evening. The receptionist could have warned us about this so we could have driven to the supermarket before having a glass of wine and being unable to drive.
The hotel is on the First and second floors of an old building and it requires you to climb at least one flight of stairs.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful common areas and large rooms and baths.
I loved everything

I liked the friendly staff and the atmosphere
I did a long trail walking before arriving at the hotel and unfortunately there was no hot water in the shower and any staff available to solve this problem. So paying 85€ for one week without the possibility to take a warm shower is not making me happy.

The receptionist didn't speak any English but we managed! She was extremely hard working, not only covering reception, but also providing the breakfast and working so hard --we did appreciate her and her super efficiency.
The room was a disappointment quietly situated which was good, but the room itself was a bit dark and poky and the beds a bit narrow and not ultra comfortable because of this. The house is a attractive and old , but I was expecting a room with a view of the ancient bridge and a small balcony area as on the web site. We were at the back of the house, overlooking the car park.

Facilities in the hotel and location are absolutely amazing.

The location next to the bridge was wonderful. Breakfast was lovely too.
The room was clean but smelled strongly of soap. on the Sunday night we asked the guy on the front desk if he could recommend anywhere for dinner and he responded that he couldn’t as he didn’t know what was open! Given that tourist season is coming to an end, we knew that some places would be closed so we did have an expectation that the chap would be able to advise us, especially as the hotel had no dinner service.

Location. Location. Location. The setting and the modernisation didn't clash as they often do. The staff were unbelievably approachable.
I know it's rural Spain but that lovely garden is wasted when the cafe.bar and restaurant close so early. It means eating and drinking in one of the more down-market options outside the old town. Also. There was no hot food at breakfast and limited choice but the quality was high.

During the two days we were there there was no hot water

We were in Room #1 with a fantastic balcony overlooking the bridge. Loved being just adjacent to the old town at the bridge. Easy parking. We didn't partake of breakfast, but went to a friendly little cafe a few steps from the hotel.
