Our vacation rental is just the place to unwind on the North shore. It is a large ( 750-square-foot) one bedroom, one bath, and full kitchen. It has its own private entry and fenced yard. The living room has a full-sized futon. The bedroom has a king bed with 100% cotton sheets for comfort.
Sunset Beach on Oahu's North Shore is one of the best beaches in the world. Our vacation rental is just the place to unwind on the North shore. It is a large ( 750-square-foot), one bedroom, one bath, and full kitchen. It has its own private entry and fenced yard. The living room has a full-sized futon. The bedroom has a king bed with 100% cotton sheets for your comfort. The rental can sleep up to four people comfortably.
The vacation rental is on a private road with only a few houses. The rental is situated on a lush tropical half-acre. There are a variety of fruit trees, mango, orange, grapefruit, banana, star fruit, and more. The backyard is a true tropical oasis with views of the mountains. Staying on the North Shore lets you see and feel what true Hawaii is all about.
Sunset Beach and Velzyland beach are a few minutes' walk or an even shorter bike ride from the vacation rental. There is a cooler, beach chair, and body boards for you to enjoy while at the beach. The North Shore has some of the best beaches in the World. Just a few miles from the rental is Sharks Cove Reef. Sharks Cove Reef is a great place to snorkel and dive. The reef, which is protected, has a large variety of marine life that can be seen in the natural environment.
Take a bike ride on the bike path that goes from Sunset Beach to Waimea Bay. In between Sunset Beach and Waimea are some of the best beaches and surf breaks in the World. You can rent bikes from a rental company down the street for $15 a day or $75 a week to get around.
In the winter, watch the top surfers in the world compete for the Triple Crown title. World Famous Pipeline is only two miles away. There you can watch surfers get barreled all day long. If you would like to learn to surf while staying on Oahu's North Shore, that can also be arranged. You can check out the surf lesson page for more information on private lessons with one of Hawaii's top-rated surfers. Waimea Bay and Falls Park are three miles away. There you can walk the botanical gardens and swim under a waterfall.
Enjoy Mai Tai's and watch the sunset at Turtle Bay Resort which is three miles away. The resort has four restaurants, and thirty-six holes of world-class golf, designed by Arnold Palmer. The amount paid by Guest is for the Nightly Rate, departure Cleaning Fee, processing fees and taxes and Security/Damages Deposit as indicated below. RESERVATION TERMS & CONDITIONS: This Reservation Confirmation/Vacation Rental Agreement (“Agreement” or “Rental Agreement”), must be completed, signed and submitted by the prospective guest to Agent within three (3) days of the date the Agreement was issued (“Date Issued”). LAND USE ORDINANCE COMPLIANCE: In accordance with City and County of Honolulu Land Use Ordinance 19‐18 (“Ordinance”), this Property is provided to you, exclusively, for a period of 30 consecutive days or greater (“Rental Period”) as required by the Ordinance. You are electing to occupy this Property for the exact days outlined in the booking details (“Occupancy Period”), should you want to occupy it for additional days beyond the Occupancy Period but within the Rental Period you may do so for an additional agreed upon fee. Should you want to occupy the Property for additional days outside the Rental Period it will depend on availability of the Property and will require an additional agreed upon fee. Should you elect to revise/cancel a portion of your reservation resulting in a Rental Period of less than 30 days this Rental Agreement will be treated as a cancellation of the entire Agreement and follow the Guest Cancellation and Refunds section below. If a cancellation request is communicated to Agent during the Rental Period that will result in a Rental Period of less than 30 consecutive days it will be treated as a failure to meet obligations by the Guest as described in Guest Cancellation and Refunds section below and this Rental Agreement will be terminated in order to comply with this Ordinance, no refund shall be provided for the remaining days of the Rental Period up until the 30th day of the Rental Period in order to comply with this Ordinance. Any increase in the occupancy should be mutually agreed to in writing prior. By law, the Property cannot be rented to or occupied by other tenants during any portion of the Rental Period other than Registered Guests. For clarification, you may have guests that occupy the Property with you during your stay, subject to the restrictions stated in this Rental Agreement and said guests become registered with Agent prior to their arrival. OCCUPANCY: This booking confirms accommodation and the rate as specified below (“Nightly Rate”) is based upon the number of guests and nights as indicated below. ALL PERSONS STAYING AT THIS VACATION HOME MUST BE REGISTERED (“REGISTERED GUEST(S)”). Any changes in occupancy will affect the rate and must be authorized. If the number of guests is exceeded without prior written permission, there will be an additional fee per person, per day. Social gatherings such as weddings, receptions and other events are not allowed. ONLY REGISTERED GUEST ARE ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY. CLEANING: The Guest will be responsible for the cost of post‐departure cleaning fee as specified below (“Cleaning Fee”). Additional maid service can be arranged at extra cost and must be lined up before arrival. SECURITY/DAMAGE DEPOSIT: This reservation includes a security deposit as referenced below (“Security/Damage Deposit”). Guest shall provide a Security/Damage Deposit to guarantee payment for any property damage or loss, any long‐distance telephone or fax bills, and/or excessive cleaning (as determined by housekeeper upon Guest’s departure). Telephones in a rental unit are for your convenience, however, any long‐distance telephone or fax calls will be charged against your Security/Damage Deposit. The Security/Damage Deposit is returned to Guest once the Guest has vacated the property, less deductions for any of the aforementioned items, with a written summary of all deductions within (14) fourteen days of Guest’s Departure. RENTAL PROPERTY CONDITIONS AND DISCLOSURES: Guest understands that Property Owner and Agent shall not permit the rental of the Property to Guest unless Guest understands, agrees to and adheres to the following conditions and disclosures: ‐ Smoking is not permitted on the Property, including but not limited to inside the home or on the premises. In Hawaii we live with our windows open and neighbors do not want to smell smoke. ‐ Pets are not permitted on the Property without prior written approval of Agent. ‐ If you booked a beachfront house condition change year‐round that affect the sand in front of the Property. We cannot guaranty the condition because weather and ocean swells are unpredictable and do change the amount of sand located in front of the Property. No refunds will be issue because of these changing conditions of the sand located at the front of the Property. Sometime conditions can make it unsafe to access beach from Property and you might have to use the closest public access. ‐ If any equipment, mechanical device or home feature becomes inoperable, Guest shall promptly inform Agent. The Property, Owner, caretaker or Property manager will make every reasonable effort to correct any problems, but such condition shall not change this Rental Agreement or the stated Nightly Rate. We try our best to make sure everything is in working order but sometimes issue come up and service will need to be scheduled. Service and repair can take up to two weeks. Because we are on an island parts and replacements can take up to six weeks. ‐Guest must immediately notify Agent of any damage to Property as a result of fire, flood, acts of nature, or mechanical failure. Initial_______________ Page 3 ‐ Guest shall promptly inform Agent of any Property items included with the Property that becomes lost or broken, including but not limited to audio/visual equipment, computer equipment, artwork, decorative items, and appliances. ‐ Guest shall follow the written instructions on the care and use of the home furnished upon check‐in, including the proper use of the home’s facilities and equipment. Guest may be held liable for damages to equipment such as the air conditioning system or other repair expenses caused by failure to abide by the written instructions given to them upon arrival. ‐ If the property has a gym, pool or spa, the Guest shall not allow unsupervised children under the age of 18 to use the gym, pool, spa or any other equipment and shall supervise all Guests’ and visitors’ use at all times. Guest understands that child safety fencing is not provided on the Property. Guest shall be held responsible and liable for the safety and acts of all family and Guests while staying at the Property

We enjoyed our stay at this one bedroom tropical getaway.
Spent a few weeks here and enjoyed the location and all the north shore had to offer. Great spot for 2 or a family of 4. Easy walk to a few different beaches and nice to walk around the mellow neighborhood. Very safe and quiet.

We stayed in this apartment for 2 weeks. We enjoyed the tranquility, the tropical surroundings and the great, almost lonely beaches, which we explored on foot, by bike or by car. It was a great time for us and the apartment is well furnished. We appreciated the large bathroom, the quiet bedroom and breakfast outside in the morning.

Amazing Place
We were so thrilled to find this VRBO location. It was a great size, clean, and excellently located. It's very close to Ted's Bakery which has incredible food, and near many North Shore beaches. Communication was easy and the owner(s) were kind. Check-in was easy. They left an ice chest, toys, and towels for us to use at the beach. And we had no issue with bugs, as some previous review had mentioned. We absolutely loved this home and hope to stay here again.

Very nice accommodations, will stay again
The house was just as advertised. Perfect for 3 adults & 1 child. There is no washer/dryer so be prepared to spend time & $$ at the laundry mat. Could use a few mixing/serving bowls. The owners are very nice & answered all of our questions & directed us to beaches good for swimming. Quiet neighborhood & would definitely stay here again!!

Great place, great location.
This place was very comfortable and so close to everything on the North Shore. Within 8 miles you can go to very different and amazing beaches or you can just walk 5 minutes to the beach. We love the North Shore vibe, we feel safe, the food trucks and stands offer amazing food, there is hiking, a waterfall to swim under, shopping and of course just drinking in the natural beauty. This property is updated, clean, and it’s nice to have a private backyard to enjoy. The beds are comfortable. The towels and sheets are a nice quality. The kitchen was great for cooking in meals. The hosts are helpful and friendly. We definitely would stay here again.

Perfect and quiet!
LOVED our stay here. Location=perfection. 5 minute walk to a public access beach. 4 minute walk to the amazing Ted’s bakery. The house has everything you need for a perfect day at the beach. For us that includes chairs, cooler, umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkels, and towels. There is no A/C but once you get the doors and fans on, it get comfortable really fast. The kitchen had everything I needed to make snacks and dinners. There was even access to Netflix and cable tv. The neighborhood was quiet and very kid friendly. The backyard was beautiful and full of sweet birds. The one thing I didn’t realize was that you need to walk through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. With two teenagers it was a lot of foot traffic through the room- No big deal, but not ideal for groups that maybe need more privacy. We want to book this treasure every year!

Relaxing family getaway
Nice quiet location perfectly situated a short stroll from Sunset Beach. The place has everything you need including beach toys for the kids. Nice and clean, exactly what we hoped for and very reasonably priced. Would recommend this place to friends.

Pretty Alright
This rental in North Shore is "alright". The space was large enough to accommodate myself and my 2 preteen children comfortably. This space had a nice outdoor shower on the patio, a fully stocked backyard full of floaties, snorkel gear, and boogie boards. There was a full kitchen with a microwave, toaster oven, and utensils for cooking. With that being said, the refrigerator was filthy, the bed looked nice but was horribly uncomfortable, and we killed 2 big roaches in the bathroom (YIKES)!! I understand we're in a tropical place and bug's are to be expected but Cockroaches are yucky. On the flipside of thing's, there were several baby lizards scrambling around the house. They were coming in from a crack between the floor and floorboard in the kitchen. This excited the kid's to no end!!! I didn't mind it because I was hoping they were there to eat the bug's. I think this would be an Excellent Place to stay if you're single, a surfer, or unbothered by insect's. It's quiet at night, the star's are amazing to look at, and it's a farcry from the busy street's of Waikiki.

Great location and spacious
This is in a great location near some of the world's best beaches. It is a spacious unit with a nice bed, plenty of fans to keep the air moving, and a well stocked kitchen. There are enough surf boards to outfit a team and other beach gear. A nice little outdoor area, though the bugs can be present if the wind isn't blowing. The host was great - he never acknowledged our presence - but we didn't need to socialize with him so that was just fine.
This place lost a star because of the upstairs noise. If constant thunderous pounding above your head is unbearable to you, then don't stay here. But, if you don't mind it (maybe you live in a cheap apartment), this place will be perfect.

Large, comfortable and clean. Perfect for me and my husband and a weekend getaway to the North shore away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. It was so relaxing, an easy walk to the beach, and close to good hikes. We enjoyed grilling fresh fish on the bbq

Loved staying here. Walking distance from Ted’s Bakery and from several beaches. On a quiet private street, lots of privacy and a beautiful back yard area to enjoy, complete with outdoor shower to get rid of sand before coming inside. Kitchen with everything you need, plenty of windows and fans to get the breeze going indoors. Loved it.

Exactly what we needed!
Just what we needed for a pied-a-terre as we explored O’ahu’s North Shore. Easy walk to a couple of beaches plus Ted’s Bakery (morning coffee fix). Grocery store not too far away. My husband LOVED having the gas grill/bbq to use. Lots of space and very comfortable. Perfect location with all the basics (except for laundry unless staying a week or more). Would stay again. Thank you!!!
