529 Cobby Creek Lane has brand has gone through extensive renovations, upgrading the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and living space. New owner doing additional renovations and new furniture!!! New photos will come once it's completed!! We've added an additional bathroom and bedroom to the loft level for a total of 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms that sleeps 8 comfortably. Just a short ride or walk from the beach, pools and clubhouse. BLDG 529 is a stand alone cottage within the Seabrook Island Community. This spacious Tarpon Pond home is in a great location. Just 1.2 miles from the Seabrook Island Club's oceanside pools, dining, golf and beaches, it is an easy bike ride to enjoy these fine amenities. Nestled under shady oak trees, it is in a peaceful neighborhood.
The lovely cottage is very comfortably decorated. It has Pergo flooring throughout - perfect for a beach home. The family room has plenty of inviting seating with a new large TV. The kitchen is fully equipped and is next to the dining area that offers seating at the table for 8. Additional seating for 6 is on the screened in porch. There are three bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom has a king size bed, TV and adjoining full bathroom. The second bedroom has two sets of twin bunk beds and TV. The third bedroom has a tempurpedic queen bed plus a TV. The tv in this bedroom is in the closet. There is a full bathroom between the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms as well as a front load washer and dryer in the hallway. The upstairs loft serves as the 4th bedroom with a queen bed with a 3rd full bathroom off the loft with a shower. There is an additional room upstairs which can be used for watching TV.
There is cable in the living, master and porch areas. The other rooms have streaming available.
All linens and towels (we do ask you to bring your own beach towels) are provided for your use.
*Seabrook Island Property Association (SIPOA) has started charging for all gate passes.
Gate passes are $45/ vehicle. This charge applies if you are staying 1 night – 179 nights. If you are staying more than 179 nights, there is a different charge.
Gate pass car total is due 2 weeks prior to your arrival. Payment of $45/gate pass(es) is due at time of your final payment.
Any changes made less than 2 weeks prior to your arrival are non-refundable. If you add a gate pass less than 2 weeks prior to your arrival, a $10 additional fee will apply.
THIS PROPERTY ALLOWS FOR A MAXIMUM OF 3 GATE PASSES TOTAL
Once the car has a gate pass, any licensed driver can drive.
Amenity Cards are required to use the Seabrook Island Club and SIPOA Lake House facilities. This property includes access to the Club amenities: the Beach Club oceanfront pools (seasonal), Pelican's Nest outdoor restaurant/bar (seasonal), Island House restaurant/bar, golf and tennis. Additional fees are charged for all activities except outdoor pool usage. The Club Amenity Card also allows access to the Lake House facilities (outdoor pool/no fees; indoor pool/fitness center/fees apply). Amenity cards are arranged through the Seabrook Island Amenity office.

Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel more than 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, you receive your funds back, minus $250. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival date, you lose your funds. If able to re-book it, you will receive what we rent it for, minus the $250. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have.
For monthly winter rentals the policy is as follows: For cancellation made up to 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, the deposit will be refunded less a $250.00 cancellation fee. For cancellations made less than 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, all monies are forfeited. If able to rent the contracted dates after a cancellation, Guest will be refunded an amount equal to new rental rate minus the $250 Cancellation Fee. The amount refunded is not to exceed the amount paid by the Guest under the terms of the Rental Agreement.

We had a lovely time but wished the home had more seating in the living room.

The remodeling was not complete. Loose or broken socket plates which were a hazard. Uneven transitions caused many stumped toes. Only seating for 4 in the living room while there were beds for 12 people was disappointing. The kitchen was well stocked except for glasses. The beds were comfortable. We used the table near the kitchen as our pantry and ate on the other table on the enclosed porch. The home met our needs!

We had a wonderful family vacation in this cottage. The kitchen was very small and did not have a pantry. Cooking utensils were minimal. No ice trays as advertised and no ice maker. Beds were great and very comfortable.

529 Tarpon Pond was a perfect house for our family with three children, our au pair, and us. It is an easy bike ride to the beach, pool, and clubhouse. The house was overall well equipped with everything we needed, including puzzles and games. The only suggestion is that it would have been ideal to have beach towels and maybe a few beach toys at the house for those families who travel by airplane and may not be able to bring them. Other than that, we loved our stay and look forward to returning!

Great location and floor plan. House looked as if it was recently updated but not completed. Most of the trim and ceilings were not painted. Trim work was done by someone with little experience. HVAC vents, hinges on doors were rusty. Lacked grout in tile. Light fixtures, vents, and switches were not moved to match new trim. Great house but needs some attention

The house worked great for our family. My only suggestions would be to provide grilling tools (metal spatula and tongs). Also, I wouldn’t recommend whoever remodeled the upstairs bathroom as there were a number of stubbed toes on the threshold. And the sink is crooked. A few additional towel hooks or racks would be nice. However this didn’t affect our overall positive stay. One thing we didn’t like was at the pool you can’t bring in your own towel but you need to pay to use one.

This is a comfortable home. It fit 4 adults and 3 children perfectly. The kids enjoyed having their own bunk room and everyone else had more than enough space. It is convenient to bike to the beaches and the neighborhood is quiet and lovely.

Fun Summer Vaca
We love coming to Seabrook. Tarpon Pond Villa was large enough for our whole family. The location was perfect for pool and beach access. The closed in porch was great for buggy nights!

This property is tired. Owner has started fixing up, but it's a poor job...still in the works. Everything feels worn..sofa is old and flat. No rugs, no kitchen pots and pans that are not scratched and rusty, TV's in every room but only one worked properly. In general, I would never pay $1500 for 5 days for this property again.

Great long weekend get away
The location was quiet and surrounded by a wooded area and the golf course. It was a quick left to the beach and right to the Lakehouse and amenities. The house was perfectly accommodated with a fairly new kitchen. Beautiful enclosed back deck and nice downstairs patio area. My teen son and his friend enjoyed the upstairs loft area. My daughter and her friend made use of the room with the bunks. We had 2 adults and four teens and fit comfortably.

Perfect for 2 families!
We loved the property, the location was perfect, the kids thoroughly enjoyed the independence of being able to bike safely wherever they wanted. The property management through Costal getaways was extremely responsive to our needs.

This was a charming beach house, perfect for my daughter's 15th birthday! Upon arrival the staff was more than willing to meet our needs! They went so far as too rewash the bedding per our request. On the second night of our our stay we came back from the beach to discover ants! They were every where! In the children's beds, the dishwasher, the kitchen even in the pot of corn we had left to cool! We did notice ant bait stations on the kitchen counter but clearly this was not enough!We immediately called the magemnet company and left messages as well as spoke to someone explaining the situation. No one arrived to properly handle the situation. our children were unable to sleep in the beds upstairs. Other than this one major mishap we had an excellent time! I would definitely stay again once the ant problem is addressed!

Great long weekend location
Older but nice, clean, quiet home that was perfect for our family during the Kiawah Island marathon weekend. Had everything we needed and was just a short drive to the beach. Loved seeing all the deer on the island. Coastal Getaways was very communicative and ensured we had a great stay. We will stay here again.

Gross.
Below is an email I sent to the property manager. We actually left on Thursday instead of Saturday because we were just tired of it. I didn't feel that it was up to the standard I'm used to for a home at Seabrook Island.
I have been disappointed with our rental house. While it's not technically unclean, I don't feel it's up to the standard I've come to expect from homes at Seabrook.
Also, the kitchen is not properly stocked. We tried to cook steaks tonight only to figure out that there are about 3 steak knives.
The first time we grilled out, my husband had to manually light it as the lighter doesn't work. The second time we tried to grill out, we were disappointed to discover that our grill was out of gas just as we went to light it up. So we had to cram our nice, expensive steaks in the oven.
The shower in the master bedroom is terrible. It is too small and very old. I don't feel much cleaner after having taken a shower in it. The water leaks out all over the rug, making for a gross and squishy step out of the shower.
The remotes to the tv don't work properly - probably need batteries. I don't see any anywhere and it's not my job to buy batteries.
Downstairs under the house, there is a used baby diaper and wipes scattered about.
The walls are all banged up, which leads me to believe the home has not been properly cared for. The rooms are all so dark, that I can barely see find clothes to wear from my suitcase.
The amount of roach traps I've seen in cabinets lead me to believe there is a problem there - I've seen two roaches myself since we got here. I know it's Charleston and roaches are a mainstay, but still. It's gross.
The fridge doesn't seem to chill very well and the doors won't stay closed.
Overall, we are very disappointed.
