Comfortable, clean, and ideally located

Comfortable, clean, and ideally located - close to the park and the city yet isolated, so it is quiet and not too busy.

Communication isn't the best. Off-service hours aren't clearly specified (Sunday) and no information regarding the check-in was personally given so there were difficulties checking in. Also, non-Dutch (or perhaps non-EU) numbers could not reach the hotel tel number. Something the guests have to be mindful about.

Good place, good people!

It is an excellent B&B in walking distance from the railway station - an excellent stay for everyone who wants to explore the region or wants to visit a TT race in Assen. The lodging is clean an comfortable, with some useful shared spaces (kitchen, dining room, etc.).

Mijn favoriete plek in Groningen voor kort (zakelijk) verblijf

Er zijn tien unieke hotelkamers, elk ontworpen door een andere creatieveling. Ben hier nu een paar keer geweest, en afgezien van één kamer met smal trapje naar het bed (lastig voor mij, want slechte knie) zijn ze helemaal prima. Klein maar met alle voorzieningen. Ook fijn dat je 's ochtends je koffie buiten op de balustrade kunt drinken, in je slaapshirt. Heerlijke creatieve 'vibe' en veel rust. Op loopafstand van restaurantjes en supermarkt. Keuken aanwezig met magnetron. Ook grote koelkast in de gezamenlijke ruimte met zitjes.

Alleen die ene kamer met hoogslaper en steil, smal trapje (maar dat is vanwege mijn slechte knie)

Good location, artsy chic hostel-feeling

Artsy nice hotel with the little extra touch. Rooms nicely decorated and big, we had a room with four beds (one double and two single in bed cabinets). Had a lounge area in the room and also a bigger table and chairs for eating. Plus for the Nespresso machine and capsules in the room. Shared two toilets and showers with one other room only. Was clean and had everything you needed. We didnt use the terrace since it was rainy but it had a lovely outdoor terrace in the yard. Good location, close to city center. Parking garage next to the hotel aswell as a supermarket.

Great value for money

We've made a family trip to Groningen. We were delighted with the facilities, location and friendliness of the staff! The rooms are different and cosy. This is not a 5 star hotel but it met all of our needs and more. You can bring your own food as every room has a shelve in the communal fridge and there is a small kitchen also with delve,microwave and kettle. The place was quiet and only a 10min walk into the town centre. If you are looking for a friendly,comfortable and convenient place to stay in Groningen, i highly recommend Labnul50!

Our Bathroom was very small and literally in a box. The doors wouldn't close fully,so you would want to be pretty close to the person you are sharing the room with.

Great location and cheap for what you get

Very attentive and thorough cleaning lady. She deserves a raise :) Location is perfect, UMCG is a 10-15 minute walk and city center is easily accessible via bus (5 min or so). Bus stop at 3 min walk. Quiet rooms and clean. Would def stay here again!

There was a shower curtain, I think that is very unhygienic.

Great location and arty rooms suited for youthful travellers

The location was great and coffee facilities and heating in the room were great points. The communal area with shared fridges was another plus point. It had interesting decor.

The stairs to the top floor was very difficult with luggage. I did not see an elevator. The bathroom had only a shower curtain and there was no full length mirror in the room. Except that finding the check-in counter is a challenge, the real challenge is the check-in time restriction to 10pm which is difficult for an international traveller.

Design of the room very interesting, something different then normal, service of the staff was great, all was properly clean, breakfast was easy and delicious.

When arriving it was a bit hard to find and confusing, because receptiondesk was closed due to holiday. Bigger or easier sign would be prefered.

Location feels a bit hidden/ slightly strange entrance through fences and dark-ish courtyard.

A dozen little frustrations ruined what could have been a perfectly nice hotel in a quiet location.

Bed was reasonably comfortable, and there was a fan in the room for some cooling and white noise.

Unbelievably loud hotel. Thunderous door slams all night, echoing metal stairs from the courtyard, could hear other people's toilet flushes through the walls. Speaking of toilets: the one in my room had no lid. How incredibly unhygienic is that? Every time you flush, toilet spray goes all over the bathroom. Shower curtain was also too short, making it impossible to keep water off the floor.

Bad sound proofing but ok for one day stay.

very good location. good price point. the room was clean and the bathroom was well equipped.

The room was very tiny but comfortable nevertheless. the bathroom door does not close easily unless really pushed from outside. The sound insulation is pretty bad so we were woken by sound of construction and delivery vehicles from outside.

Surprisingly pleasant experience

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, the shower worked well and housekeeping cleaned the room on every day of the stay. The girl that helped me check in was very nice and was helpful with my special request for the check out. There were bus stations only a few minutes away from the location, as well as a supermarket that was open till 22. The city center was also at a convenient walking distance from the hotel. The area felt safe and was very quiet as well.

It would be more convenient if a self check in and check out could be implemented, otherwise I have no complaints, my stay here was great.

hidden gem in Groningen center

good price and comfortable room. clean facilities and welcoming host. Close to local supermarkets and shops. Quiet at night. plenty of space and sockets for remote working. good wifi network

it’s a little bit outside the center but in 9 minutes walking you are in the center.
