The room is nice and clean but with direct view to the busy an noisy street. Reception explained rooms are facing the Lot river. actually just a few do. I do not recommend.

Breakfast was amazing everyday. A great deal of variety. The use of the safe was assuring to not to have to carry valuables around. The room was gorgeous, stylish and comfortable. Being able to sit on the balcony and watch the sunrise each morning was very satisfying. Also I thought the names of the rooms were very interesting which created some genuine discussions as to the thought behind it. The surroundings were just breathtaking a truly delightful experience.
Replenishing the complimentary teas in the room would have been nice. For example if you drank the teas in the room herbal or otherwise you didn't get another top up. But there was freedom to take a snack from the breakfast table if you wanted to. Next time I would just take a couple of tea bags from the breakfast room. The decor of the breakfast room was beautiful, as were the fleur de lis patterns in the room.

Hotel arranged in 2 storey houses. Luxurious large room with private terrace looking over the Lot. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Great restaurant. After being travelling for a few months the chef kindly asked what we would like for dinner and put it on the menu!!

Lovely location; clean, comfortable room
Staff rather uninterested.

The river side location was beautiful and the views over the river at breakfast breathtaking. GF provision was good.
The hotel was further out of town than I anticipated and the room was small. A large booking for the restaurant one evening left us out in the cold. No provision for guests via bar snacks etc...

To far from town breakfast disappointing

I thought more milk capsules were needed as 2 we insufficient, even for one person.

The location was very good
The service at dinner was very poor. We ordered filet de Veau as the main course but 30 mins later and after our starters we were told there was no veal left. We then ordered filet de boeuf which after.a further 25 mins had not arrived and we left. We were then charged for a full menu on departure. The receptionist was not aware of the problem over dinner. After much discussion the bill was reduced by some Euros 20. We will not stay there again.

Lovely comfortable spacious room. Staff were so helpful my Husband left his bag which we had to get couriered back to the UK the staff phoned to say they had found it and would keep it safe. They duly packed it up and attached the labels for us. Cannot praise the reception staff enough
Shower, traffic noise

I booked the Mercure Hotel in Villeneuve sur Lot as I have used the brand of Hotel before, usually situated in conveniently within a city, however, please note this hotel, although by the Lot river is 1.79 KLM from the centre on a busy road. The room was in block ‘Sarah’ paying extra for a river view, the room itself was spacious, large bathroom, shower and toilet, however, on opening the patio doors to sit outside to observe the ‘view’ of the river, it was obscured by overgrown bushes and trees. The bed was extremely comfy.
I paid extra for breakfast which there was a good selection of food, cold meats, eggs, patisseries, yogurt, fresh fruit etc.
The shower was difficult to set without scolding oneself. No view of the river as it was obscured by vegetation. The hotel is not in centre of the town. The main complaint was the restaurant!
Set in a building on the lot, separate from the rooms, the restaurant is on the fist floor, surrounded by glass which gives a pleasant view of the river but when the sun shines it’s very hot. The restaurant was not busy around 8 people when we arrived, after some minutes the waiter came with the board menu, took our order, no offer of aperitif, after some minutes gave us a wine list to choose from which we did. I chose sushi for entrée and my partner fois gras, after 30 minutes the starter arrived but the fois gras was wrong so the waiter apologized and said « two minutes « to rectify the mistake, 15 minutes later the fois gras arrived, one piece of toast and one square of fois gras, another long wait and the plat arrived, curry poulet and saint Jacques, the food was cold. I informed the waiter who apologized again and took the plat away, within a few minutes another curry arrived, slightly warmer but not hot.
I would not recommend this restaurant.

Room decor and cleanliness. Location. View from restaurant was fantastic.
Traffic noise woke me up a couple of times.

Exceptional quiet location on the Lot river 3kms out of Villeneuve town centre. Easy safe parking. Excellent views.

Clean, smart, good food
Despite booking a dinner table in advance we had to wait whilst it was brought in a lift from another area, no apology. We had no hot water on last night or next morning, we informed staff on check-out and the response was “O.K we’ll tell someone”, no apology.
