Central Motel, Ipswich

Room was clean, tidy. TV worked well, but No Netflix. Sheets, bedding were clean. Towels for each bed, but no face washers provided.

Room was noisy, barking dogs Garbage Truck and multiple emergency vehicles. Did not supply individual bottles of shampoo and conditioner..

The location to the function we were attending was good. Hot water in the shower was good. Air con worked well.

We had 2 rooms. Both rooms needed a lot of work. One room had a stained couch and a hole in the coffee table. Missing cornices in rooms, holes in walls. Bed was uncomfortable, felt springs in the mattress. The traffic was so loud at night, we barely slept. We were told we could check out at 12, we came back to the room to find them inside cleaning. Very disappointed. I guess you get what you pay for.

Location was great

Curtain did not reach fully across window letting the light to shine on the head of the bed which made it difficult to sleep I had to face door most of the night but all good I am sure it is something that can be fixed easily

Convenient location, clean and tidy and good value for money. Problem with checking in.

Single Bed was hard and uncomfortable compared to to the large double which was quite ok. Booking.com emailed that the motel was having a problem with Credit Card. Office staff left motel at about 5.30pm so was difficult to fix up. Card turned out to be fine when confirmed over the phone eventually. Travelling and unable to contact Motel staff made it quite stressful as no other accomodation was available.

A Gem in the Rough

I liked the location as our children live close by. For other people though, it's close to Queens Park and an amazing Thai Restaurant. There's also an Indian Restaurant we didn't get to try ... we'll go there next time.

No so much didn't like, as in made me wonder what on earth I'd booked. On the outside the premises seems quite rundown. The room, however was clean, the bathroom renovated, the water hot, and the location quiet. The room was also a good size. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in. For the price over the Christmas period ($110 per night) and the close proximity to our children, it was perfect.

Disappointing

good restaurants near.

We booked a pet friendly room. No one was there in the office when we went to check in at 5:30, so we retrieved our key from a lock box. We had been in the room for a couple of hours and there was a banging on the door. The owners son was there and was very confrontational about us having a dog and not letting them know. i explained that it was on the booking email. I felt he was aggressive in his manner and accused us of wrong doing. The owner acknowledged that they hadn’t read the booking correctly. we moved rooms on their request. We cancelled our second night stay. I would not return there.

Building in disrepair- stairs had broken railings. Needs painting and work. No mention in ad that the rooms are all upstairs.
