The staff and owners always make us feel welcome

We loved the overall setting and the decor in our suite. The view from the main château is stunning and pool area was fantastic - we couldn't keep the kids away!
The village is really beautiful with a lovely little wine bar and good local restaurants.
The kitchen wasn't particularly well equipped. It would have been nice for the basics like oil, salt, pepper etc to be supplied as it is annoying to have to buy these items when only cooking a few meals.

Beautiful location
Immaculate, striking self-contained accommodation
Excellent kitchen facilities, smartTv, good shower pressure.
Fabulous spa area (pool, sauna, dip pool)
Warm welcoming hosts
Host were incredibly helpful in securing taxis to/from the Chateau to the train station
Nothing to dislike
The location is quiet, you need to think ahead to book restaurants or buy food/groceries

Excellent in all respects from the magnificent room and views to the hosting of the family owners. Gorgeous setting and pool facilities. The invitation to the spectacular fire show performed by the owners in the adjacent park was out of this world. Perfect honeymoon spot.
If anything could be improved it would be adding a shower in the room, but other aspects more than compensated.

incredible setting with a unique balance of views, grandeur and counter culture flair

I loved this place but it was quite quirky. Modern conversion of buildings in a beautiful old Chateaux, with fantastic hosts, a lovely pool, and great breakfast, with an outdoor modern art gallery in a forest thrown in for good measure.
I thought from the description that this would be more of a hotel, but it is really a very upmarket B&B. No air conditioning, I expect this isn’t usually an issue but we were there in a heat wave.

Functional kitchen, very clean apartment, enjoyed pool and pool area in the morning as quiet with relaxing background music. Complimentary basket on arrival, pleasant host and hostess. Tour of castle on arrival very nice.
As we stayed 5 nights a dishwasher would have been great. Sofa (sofa more of a spare bed?) not very comfortable for lounging. It was very hot so air con would have been beneficial rather than fans. Pool a bit small. Expecting garden view to be better, was all stones and views over buildings. For the cost of £300 per night we expected much more. Breakfast extra.

The location and grounds were beautiful. The pool complex was good. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, the service they provided was exceptional. The beds were comfortable. We had air conditioning which worked well.
The kitchen did not have a freezer, and lacked some basic utensils like a tin opener or vegetable peeler. The bathroom was clean but in need of updating and some repairs. In general we felt it was a little overpriced - we paid almost £400 per night, and I would have expected a better quality of room for that - £250 per night would have been more reasonable. The photos on booking.com make the rooms look modern and luxurious, and that's not quite the case. Breakfast likewise was poor value for money; 20Euro per head for two croissants, some bread and scrambled eggs.

Bertrand and Sam who run this incredible property are wonderful. This incredibly beautiful town, the views, the quality of little touches like fresh lavender and roses from the garden left in the room. Breakfast is robust and delicious. The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable, the pool, sauna, the grounds are just magic. I really wanted something special and quiet - cannot recommend enough… very special place.

the setting is beautiful, Bertrand and Sam were charming hosts. showing us around the beautiful Chateau and telling us it history.
The size of the bedroom in our suite is very small and the lack of privacy whilst using the loo isn’t great! we were in Indre

Situation. Facilities, especially the lovely pool, sauna and hot tub. Modern and tasteful blended beautifully with old
Kitchen a little sparse if you wanted to eat in, but adequate for all other things.

We loved this accommodation for many reasons
The situation in a small town by the Loire
The welcome by the staff
The quality and space of the property
The swimming pool facilities

The village of Candes is beautiful with the river, countryside and old buildings providing much interest.
The bed was comfortable, the host was lovely, the pools and sauna were a treat.
Access to the park is open to residents and includes a street art exhibition - there are also lady, fly and monkey orchids in the grass.
Nothing at all.

A top property - we loved to be there and there was no second to be in doubt about the booking.
For 6 people is enough space with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The combined kitchen and living room was great.
The tables for breakfast/dinner inside and outside are stretched to have enought space to sit together.
The private pool on a separate estate is near by and was used by less other guests.
The host team takes care of us and was achievable nearly the whole time.
Problems were solved immediately - top!
We will return in one of our next holidays asap!!!
The host team was anxious to solve the WIFI-Problems but they don´t find a sustainable solution.
My business WebEx works only by sitting on the stairs outside at the patio!

The apartment is located within a beautiful village and is surrounded by amazing landscape.
The property was clean and if you go to this area for cycling then if you get a bottom floor apartment like we did then it's ideal for your bikes.
The parking is pretty good as well.
We had a terrible start to our stay, because we had to wait for a long time for our host to arrive and show us to the property, which was frustrating.
The pool area is incredibly small for the amount of people who were trying to it and if you don't have kids then be aware that this is very much a hotspot for families during season.
The pictures online don't correctly reflect the reality that in season this is not a relaxing pool area, unless you get up super early or wait for the kids go to bed.
My wife and I don't have a kids at present or have issues with kids, but we booked the apartment because the listing gave the impression that it was more oriented towards adults than it being a place tailoring to families.
Depending on what room you have, then it is likely you have to walk on a road to get to the pool area and we were unfortunately positioned next to the laundry. We had people using the washing machine and dryer at 11pm at night and early in the morning, which kept us awake and woke us up.
Lastly we had to ask for things like toilet rolls and our shower bathroom toiletries weren't refilled.

Reception was very friendly and pleasant.
‘Suites du Chateau’ had nothing to do with the castle... not a part of it, not a view of it...
The ‘suite’ had a distinct motel feel about it, no privacy, very present neighbors...
The toilet door didn’t close properly so there was an unobstructed view from the bed at 2 meter distance... terrible layout!
There was no breakfast service or anything, even though there’s hardly anything at the village to begin with. For 300 bucks a night, this was a total rip off...
