Location, friendliness of the staff and rather homy atmosphere; unique setting and ambience.
No internet in the rooms; no tv in the rooms

The hotel grounds are like something out of a story book. Seriously the grounds are just magical. The painstaking attention to detail in absolutely every aspect of the landscaping and construction is abundantly obvious and goes a long way to transport you to a beautiful island retreat. This place was obviously meticulously built over a long period of time and is kept up so well. The owner clearly takes immense pride in his hotel - as he should. It’s seriously a work of art. We absolutely loved our stay.
Everything about this hotel was above and beyond. It’s a wonderful place to base your trip to this amazing destination.

Location is awesome, friendly.

We enjoyed a lot the beautiful garden, the nice rooms and above all the kindness and efficiency of the hotel manager.

The owners (Benjamin & Annie, and sister(-in-law) Marina) and staff really look after their guests.
Including the additional free airport pick-up and drop-off, as well as welcome and farewell fresh guava juice with fruit from their garden. They also help organise and book all the excursions and activities that you can do on the island (of which there are many…we hired bikes, got a transfer to the beach, went on a day tour and a sunset hike).
The hotel itself is central, has a lush garden and even small swimming pool.
The rooms are simply furnished (as to be expected in such a location) but a good size and comfort.
The breakfast isn’t gourmet but perfectly fine.
Overall, this is probably one of the best options on the island, and as above, you’d be hard pressed to find a better welcome. However, as with some of the other reviews, I personally would be happy to pay a little more to help cover some renovation in the rooms (eg new bedding and towels) and a slightly better breakfast offering. I’m sure the wifi is what wifi is in such a remote location!

This hotel was amazing! The team was extremely friendly and very helpful with planning our excursions throughout the trip. The daily breakfast was nice to catch up with other guests on their adventures.
The pool was a little cold, but it’s because of the time of the year.

Loved the entire atmosphere of the hotel, it's in the heart of town so you can walk up to the ocean and the Moais for a beautiful sunset. The hotel is made out of carved wood and has an awesome tropical garden with a pool, garden is well maintained with all sorts of tropical plants and trees. Exactly as I hoped it would be. Personell was also very relaxed and friendly. Loved every day! Breakfast was included as well.
Nothing, the quality for the price you pay is perfect

The owners were really nice and helpful whenever we needed anything. The swimming pool was lovely after a long day of sightseeing. The whole place just had a really good character.

This hotel is a family run local business. The location literally couldn't be better, there is a small market down the street where you can buy water and snacks and its very close to restaurants and a rock pool for swimming. I generally tend to stay in more upscale hotels but im so glad i stayed here for this experience. Benjamin and his family were wonderful. Benjamin gave detailed recommendations and insights. He picked me up and dropped me off seamlessly which can cause anxiety as a solo traveler. There were guests working there too, if your job is flexible with not many zoom calls im sure you could work from this location. Wifi worked fine for me while i was there. The rooms are not incredibly sound proof but there is always hot water and lovely gardens and a pool. Remember time zone shifts by 2h from santiago! my only regret is not staying longer. Would recommend longer than 3 nights.

Superb location, average breakfast.
Julio at the front desk was extremely helpful.
Breakfast can be improved and if they could provide wifi in the rooms as well.

Lovely breakfast area, nice room, good shower and air con, good location.
Julio made lots of effort to make me a daily breakfast suitable for my dietary restrictions.
They sent me a message saying they would collect us at the airport but no one was there and then they claimed someone had waited till the last minute which was clearly untrue or we would not have had to walk.
They also denied receiving my dietary restrictions when it is clearly showing under Special Requests.

Location is excellent. Hotel is two blocks from the Mercado Artesanal which is basically the center of town, three blocks from the coast line with many restaurants, ice cream shops, banks and the wonderful Turtle beach where one can plunge into the water with the locals, and despite being next to the anchored boats, has inviting turquoise colored water to swim. The church is also only for blocks up the hill from the hotel.
We got a very nice big room which like all rooms, was surrounded by lush gardens. Hot shower was excellent and we slept very well in very comfortable beds! Breakfast is very good and plentiful: cereal, yogurt, toast bread with cheese and ham available, fruit juices and fresh fruits with coffee and tea in buffet style. Owners were not there during our four night stay, but the manager in charge (Julio) helped us with possible contacts with tours, etc. which in the end we did not book, but found information in the tourist office, just three blocks away where one can also buy the mandatory park tickets to visit the island attractions. He also shared with me many interesting conversations with some of his Rapa Nui friends, which provided even more knowledge of this beautiful island and customs.
There was a lack of coordination with our pick up transfer from the airport which forced us to get an expensive taxi (some can still take advantage of naive foreign visitors!) that the manager did reimburse us upon arrival. Still, first impression was somewhat spoiled….
Internet is weak, only in lobby area/dining area available, but that was already expected so was not much of a problem and it is good to disconnect anyway.
Filtered water should be available for guests. Supposedly tap water is not a problem, but bottled water is sold everywhere and the hotel does not even provide a few bottles free, not even at arrival as many hotels in the works do!

Amazing hotel and simply one of the best we have stayed at during our 3 month stay in South America. Benjamin and Annie are the best hosts, they were super informative, honest about how the current situation with mandatory guides work and nothing was too much to ask. we enjoyed our conversations with them over breakfast. the hotel gardens are insanely lush and tropical and the pool is delicious! rooms are spacious and have AC which was very much needed in hot and humid Easter island. location of the hotel is on the crossroad of two main streets so there are a lot of restaurants within 5 min walking distance.
the Wi-Fi is slow but that is everywhere on the island. other than that, NOTHING!

This place was amazing. We came in the night from the airport and were really hungry. The hosts prepared a sandwich for us and offered something to drink. So lovely!!
We stayed only three nights. Next time we will stay longer. This place felt like home or a visit at good friends. We recommend this hotel. We will come back.

The owners are the nicest people! They care so much about the experience each guest has while at their place. They were so helpful and organized our tours, suggested things to do, and places to eat. The breakfast was great each morning and the gardens surrounding the hotel are beautiful. Wonderfully relaxing after a warm day of touring!
Bathrooms need some upgrades but everything was working fine.

Beautiful garden with a pool, perfect location in the middle of the town close to everything, very friendly and helpful staff. Benjamin picked me up from/ dropped me of to the airport and helped me book tours on the island, I had an amazing time there!
Not that it bothered me but internet connection is slow, like everywhere on the island, perfect to disconnect and enjoy your time on the island

location perfect
Our room was in disrepair ….. bathroom no towel racks just holes in the wall, shower handle hanging off wall, entire room needing an update, only received one hand towel but when asked were given another each time we asked. It was definitely not worth $200 per night.

Location is good, near main street and coast. Breakfast simple but okay. Super beautiful garden!! Staff are nice and helpful.

The location could not have been more perfect! The garden setting was charming, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was very pleasant. We looked forward each morning to sitting in the open-air breakfast area and enjoying the garden view while we ate. Because of its central location, we enjoyed walking back during the day and relaxing on our porch or in the large common room.
We had no wifi in our rooms, but the sitting area with wifi was large and accommodating. Also, all of Easter Island has slow and spotty internet, so we knew that this was not a place to spend on our computers; there was too much to do. We are not a fan of bugs, but a few ants and a huge cockroach found their way in. The rooms are not well sealed, but the openness is part of the charm and we have to take nature in a natural setting.
4.6
Excellent location with a friendly staff. The restaurant upstairs in the hotel is one of the best on the island. They can help you arrange tours or car rental.
