About this house rental

Quaint recently updated three bedroom unit (with studio unit attached) along Ames Street in Elk Rapids. This efficiency unit includes a refigerator with freezer, cooktop and convection oven. Also available outside is shared outdoor space with a picnic table and charcoal grill. Longtime favorite, The Local, is located directly across the street. If dining in is more your style, Village Market is just a short walk down the sidewalk. Looking to dine out? Pearl's New Orleans Kitchen and Riverwalk Grill and Taproom are both just a stroll away. Stop by for happy hour at Ethanology or ice cream at Cone Coral, both located across the street as well. This property was a great place for a big family. Two grandparents two parents and four kids age 13 to one. The kitchen grade room combo was perfect for all of us, the bedroom situation made it easy to have that many people. And the location in Rapids was central to everything we wanted to do in northern Michigan. What highly recommend and would go back.

We loved how close the property was to downtown Elk Rapids. Walkable to the Village Market was a bonus too! The property was clean, well-maintained, and worked for our family of 4 for a week.

My family and I really enjoyed the home and the amenities! The location is close to the grocery store and my favorite distillery! I love the closeness to Elk Rapids. We have stayed here a couple times and enjoyed the updates made this time around (especially tvs with Roku)! Would stay here again!

Middling property. Nice to have four beds and three bedrooms. They are all "full" size. Had a few issues though. I sent the owner some questions three months prior to our visit in order to make some outside arrangements. I only got a response a few days before along with the arrival instructions. We never had WiFi during our stay, even though it was advertised as an amenity. The owner made one attempt at a fix by having the internet company reset access, but after that didn't work, nothing else was tried. We thought there were way too many air fresheners in the unit. There were probably three air fresheners per room. Also, no blow dryer was provided, even though it is a necessary amenity for those with long hair. This VRBO worked for us because we really only slept here, we spent our time and had our meals elsewhere. Wish we could have had better curtains to keep out the light. I would only recommend this property to travelers who won't spend much time here.

Great location is Elk Rapids in terms of ease to get to everything. It is close to restaurants, a grocery store, and other establishments like Shorts and Ethanology. The place has been updated and looks great. The kitchen and fridge were a little small (was in the description of the property) but it worked for us. The closet was very large for clothes storage and worked well for us. I wish it would have had some tvs in the bedrooms as well (maybe they could be added). Overall, it was a nice stay and I would recommend.

The rental was perfect for my family. The home was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained and provided all of the necessary amenities not found in hotels. The host was very accomodating and responded quickly to my questions. I would definitely rent this home again.

This is a great unit! It was clean and stylish, with a large parking area. The owner was VERY friendly and quick to respond to our questions and resolve any issue. The kitchen is small and does not have an oven, but does have a double stove-top unit, microwave, full-size refrigerator, dining table with 4 chairs, as well as a high top table with 2 tall stools. It is within walking distance to a large grocery store, restaurants, and the Elk Rapids downtown area. I would definitely stay there again!

Listing was accurate, place was clean, great location that’s close to grocery store, restaurants, and walking to Elk Rapids. Only downside is kitchen doesn’t have a lot of storage space, but since we mostly eat out, place was great!

Everything was as picture shows. Clean linen on all the beds. Great idea to put closet in center of all bedrooms. If I was to nitpick it would be that all the lights and ceiling fan in kitchen and living room are connected so they are all on at same time. Also need to put instruction on using 2 remotes to TV. Black remote turns tv on and adjust sound, silver remote for everything else. But Ronnie was very helpful and always friendly. I would stay there again for sure. Wife already thinking about next summer. Way better than staying at hotel.

Absolutely wonderful place and fit quite a few of us very comfortably. There were quite a few lights that we couldn’t find switches for and a bathroom light was out. It was very chilly and could not adjust the thermostat. Fortunately there were plenty of blankets but we were in sweats and warm socks most of the time hanging out in the house. Recommend bumping it up about 5 degrees. Overall and absolutely wonderful place to stay and the location was fantastic. It’s beautifully decorated and stocked. Zero complaints minus this Florida girl being cold!

My family and I stayed here to explore the area. We really enjoyed our time and the home was clean and comfortable. I loved how spacious the bathroom was, it things a lot easier with little ones to take showers. We ate locally and cooked, both worked out great. Loved having a local beach so close and also travelled around the area and nothing was more than an hour away which was definitely nice. Thank you for having us!

Convienently located

House was clean and right next to restaurants and a gas station. Short distance to downtown, walkable for adults. Not a ton of privacy, but great location if you'll be spending a lot of time downtown or at the beach. There are some fragile decor items, so heads up to relocate those if you have small kids. Also, the plug where the sprinkler system is easily comes out of the wall. Unplug your items carefully! Our only complaint was that some of us were cold in the house and the air could not be adjusted. For most, it would probably be fine. If you're easily chilled, pack some warm house clothes. Overall, a great place if you want to spend your time enjoying lake life and avoiding daily driving without breaking the bank.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few days and it was great! The house is clean, quiet, and in a great location. There's plenty of parking on the property, too. It's walking distance to the grocery store and some restaurants. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place in Elk Rapids!

The only problem I had was no toaster on site and the new induction stove did not work at all. Actually bought a 4 slice toaster and would have only used it one time so I took it back .Ronnie said she would reimburse me but I did not think a 4 slice toaster would be good fit with the counter space. But that's all they had at the store. Overall great place good location and I'm sure there will be a 2-slice toaster there soon and a replacement stove....

We traveled to Northern Michigan from Ohio to check out all there is to do in the area! We rented a pontoon and hung out on torch lake which was about 30 minutes away. Beautiful clear water but water is crisp. Took boat they to clam river/lake into Bellaire lake. Kids enjoyed tubing! We also went to Charlevoix for the day and hung at the beach there and did some shopping. Went to sleeping bear dunes twice to climb the dunes and hike, spent day at lake. Other day in SBD we kayaked/tubed down the platte river which was slightly Warner and enjoyed by all! We also kayaked in traverse city one day then hit up a few breweries. We spent several days at the elk rapids beach which was 5 minutes away, there were basketball, tennis courts and a playground. Voted best beach by the kids. Cute town with shops and restaurants. Lots to see and explore 30-40 minutes from this property!!

This is a wonderful 3 bedroom house. The unit is exactly as pictured. Beautifully decorated with quality furnishings and very clean! The kitchen is small but adequate for occasional use. Great location, walking distance to restaurants and grocery. The house has a commercial parking lot which gave us adequate space for our boat that we brought along! Would definitely stay again!

Property was in good condition and very clean. Disappointed that the bedrooms did not have any closets and no stove in the kitchen. Would book again if traveling to the Traverse City area. Appears that the building was built to be an office and converted for rental usage.

Newly decorated and very nice. The location was within walking distant to stores and restaurants. Nice walk on the water to downtown Elk Rapids shops. Plenty of room for three couples. One bath a draw back, and could use brighter lights. I would definitely stay here again.

The house was very nicely decorated. Lots of issues with the 'stove top' that never did work. We called Ronnie and she quickly addressed the situation by having someone come look at it to see if it was working (it was brand new) and leave us written instructions. We followed the written instructions, had the neighbor tenant come over since she had one too and none of us could get it to work. It would come on but kept shutting off on it's own shortly after starting it. We could have called Ronnie again (she was very responsive) but we didn't have time to wait for someone to come over again. There is no oven but there is a microwave. Fridge works great and gets very cold; a plus! Overall it is a nice place but I'm not able to give 5 stars due to the kitchen issues. We are stay at home cooks and do not like eating out much but that's what we had to do while we were in there. Elk Rapids is adorable and there is lots to do within walking distance of the property.
