We arrived to a lovely warm welcome, freshly cleaned house with the heating left on for our arrival. Everything you need for a few days or longer stay. Being so close to the beach and the bushy track out the back gate is a bonus.

Perfect place for a quiet weekend. Took my partner and doggie. Very close walk to the beach. Garden is well fenced for most dogs. Small ones and good jumpers might get out but that’s to be expected. Will definitely be trying to book a break here again in the future.

Great house for two couples (to share cost) and kids. 10min Short walk to beautiful beach.
House well appointed but getting a little bit tired. We had a great time there.
Dog friendly but we couldn’t leave ours outside on their own as they kept finding places to get out. Only chicken wire fencing.

The house is in a great location, close to the beach and direct access to the bushy walk from the back gate.
Steven was super helpful when Venus Bay had an unexpected blackout and offered to reimburse any additional expenses for candles, torches or anything needed to cope with the blackout, he even offered the use of his second property should we have needed it.
The house is big and comfortable with a laidback feeling of a beach holiday.
We would very happily go back there again.

Overall a great property, had all necessary amenities catered for. Hairdryer advertised was broken. Super warm and cosy for a winter break. Generally clean, definitely needed cleaning improvements around kitchen areas, bbq and windows quite dirty from previous residents/dogs. Needing basic maintenance but would consider again.

The fire was lovely in the evenings, however we did have trouble turning on the AC and had to change the batteries.

This is a lovely, spacious, comfortable house in a great location but is in need of some basic upgrades and a spring clean. For the premium summer holiday price tag we felt underwhelmed when we couldn't get the living room TV or microwave to work, the music player was running on old technology and not compatible with our phones and the dishwasher was problematic at times. The owner was nice enough to send some more wine glasses over as there was only one in the cupboard and some balls for the basketball court as there wasn't any in the house. We also had to get the gas bottle refilled (which the owners reimbursed us for) as it was empty on arrival and the BBQ was filthy, plus the cleaning tools were so old and dirty they were useless. We found the whole house was left clean by the cleaners (benches, bathrooms etc, ) but it really needs a deep clean, the windows and glass were dirty with cobwebs and the couch cushion covers need a wash. We also thought basic house supplies were very light. The dog fence isn't suitable for small dogs like ours but we really appreciated that we could bring her along. The location of the house is great, surrounding wildlife and the beach is superb. We've stayed at Venus Bay many times over the years and always have a good time - unfortunately this place didn't meet our expectations based off the description - but perhaps worth it for a very large group of people as it's the same price, which would work out cheaper. For a small family the price did not match the experience though, and I'd save our money for something else next time.

We enjoyed our stay at Dune Haven, it's a beautiful house with all the facilities you could possibly need. It was great to be so close to the beach as well.

Amazing. Plenty of room for everyone to
have there own space. Beds comfy, lots of rooms for the dogs to move around and explore. The native flowers are absolutely gorgeous. Blue fairy wren
was a pleasant surprise. And old mate Kangaroo was showing off his pecs . All in all, great stay . Will be back.
Recommend to potential guests to take all your basics . Wasn’t much in the pantry. I.e oil, baking paper, coffee pods , tea bags.

Awesome!
We finally made it to Venus Bay after having booked this property for Easter'20 getaway. Beautiful property, walking distance to the beach. Very clean and modern bathrooms and kitchen. Nice sized fridge, dishwasher and washing machine made it an easy stay of 4 nights. Steven's (landlord) communication was fantastic as he had to rebook us a number of times, as we couldn't make the trip for close to a year, due to COVID lockdown. Will stay here again (hopefully soon)!

Fantastic value!!
Beautiful quiet location. Great amount of space for a big family. Lots of things for the kids to do. The big windows were fantastic for watching the birds and clouds roll in. The wood fireplace was the perfect touch. We can't wait to stay again.

Lovely House
A lovely house but the attention to detail in cleaning was lacking. Basic provisions (salt, pepper, olive oil etc) were not available and there was a requirement to pay for linen. We were a little disappointed.

A Conflict of Interest! 🤔😁
We had a great holiday here. The house is great. Clean, well set up, functional and in a fantastic location within a five minute walk to beach No. 5. Great living area and bathroom & en-suite were both a good size, modern & clean. Owners were easy to deal with. One of the best houses we’ve stayed in at Venus Bay (and we’ve stayed in lots!) Will definitely be back.
So, what’s the conflict of interest? We don’t want everyone else to find out about it! 😢😂

Fantastic holiday house
I found that overall this property was fantastic, but there were a few issues such as: the kitchen sink was far too short and water spilled everywhere, the toilet locks didn’t work properly (you lock on the inside but you could still open from the outside), as the weather was cold this weekend we were unable to dry clothes without a dryer it would improve the experience a whole lot if there was to be a dryer installed. Other than that, the living area was spacious and the supplied amount of dvds and toys for children were amazing. The vacuum cleaner worked amazingly (as the other house we’d visited in past years didn’t work very well). The basketball hoop and backyard were perfect for the children to run around and play in. The location and quality of most things were great.
