Stayed in a pod which was lovely & the decking round it was a great idea. The view as well was excellent when it wasn’t raining !
Nothing immediately springs to mind.

Very clean, lovely rooms

Brilliant food from the restaurant

Not much really
When I booked the room it said. COURTYARD VIEW, in actual face it was a service area with an old bike and a broken trampoline in it.
The room was out of date.
Breakfast seemed like the staff couldn’t handle the amount of people that were there.

Great value for money, good location.
Long wait to be served for breakfast as we were in the bar area due to having a dog with us.

Overall look of the cottage and surroundings were just on point! Great place to escape from a busy city.
Absolutely massive and delicious portions of food!
4.3
The hotel itself was good with pleasant staff and good food.
In the bar area, there were either locals or contractors in who were swearing loudly from the minute we got In to the minute we left which made the bar area pretty unpleasant .No attempt by the bar staff or manager was made to ask the lads to quieten down.
4.3
Lovely hotel with friendly staff and excellent food.
4.3
The cleanliness of the room and it was welcoming after a long journey
Could have done with a cupboard or vanity table in the bathroom for toiletries
4.3
Room was fair with the rate I paid. Breakfast was good. Dinner was OK but didn't meet my expectation.
Staff came to the room before 8am without even knocking the door, they just opened the door with thier spare key. Staff said, he thought we already check out that's why he opened the door. But we haven"t even down for breakfast yet, that's too early not even 8am.
I was half naked getting ready for the morning, so embarrassing.

Decent sized, clean, dog friendly room with TV and ensuite. Staff were friendly and welcoming, more than accommodating with our dog. We were placed in a room near the main exit which helped lots through the night, taking our dog out without disturbing others. Good choice of breakfasts available each morning and the option to book a table for lunch or dinner. We ate one night out of the two. Drinks were reasonably priced.
Pillows were a little thin. We had a long wait for food , however this was explained to us when we ordered due to a massive order placed just before we arrived, so we were kept informed. I assume this isn't the norm but due to staff shortages could not be helped.

The food was delicious and I felt like I was being treated If I go here again, I will stop by. I highly recommend it-ㅡ
They were a little busy, so stood and waited.

We liked the location, the bathroom, breakfast easy to check in and check out.
We didn't like that was noisy up until 10 pm gone at times as walls /ceiling too thin so we could hear all the shouting, talking, pool playing, tv and music from the bar/pub underneath. One night needed to go down and complain with guy on reception so he sorted out a young guys shouting /partying ? going on literally next door.
Bed too small, squiggy, mattress could do with a renewing.

The breakfast was exceptional. One of the best we’ve had. Freshly made - quality produce, excellent selection. Staff were accommodating & friendly. Ideal when you have kids and dogs with you !
Plenty of parking available. Outdoor space and play area for the family. Sports shown in bar area - relaxed friendly atmosphere.
On this occasion - nothing . We wish we could have stayed longer !

we absolutely loved our stay at the Kellbank. My fiancée and I stayed over the weekend with our 2 dogs. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff were great and went above and beyond with a very friendly and helpful approach towards us. Food and drink was also amazing and great value for money.
very hard to pick anything we didn’t like. if I had to pick something it would be the serviettes on the plate with our food. but not a massive issue and didn’t effect our overall opinion of the food

just returned from a two night stay with my boyfriend and we absolutely loved it here! Way higher than what we were expecting from the hotel, it was lovely! The room was clean and had good amenities. The staff couldn’t help you enough, nothing was ever too much and they really gave good tips on local area and were willing to help. The bar was so lovely, with sports on the tv and huge selection of drinks. Breakfast was included in our price and WOW it didn’t disappoint! very good range of food and drinks on offer we loved it! the location was perfect for what we wanted and the food portions were very good for the price.

Very clean, lovely friendly staff and great food selection.
could have done with breakfast starting slightly earlier (6ish), but otherwise everything was great.
4.3
Very good value for money, large rooms and nice breakfast included. Nicely located at the edge of the Lake District!
The only (minor) thing we were a bit disappointed about happened during our first dinner, when we ordered a portion of onion rings making it explicit that we wanted it before our mains, as a starter. It eventually arrived with the mains, and as we told the waitress about this, she responded in a mixed surprised/pissy way. Not sure who made the original mistake, as the person who collected the order just blamed someone else.
4.3
Fantastic location in the Lakes - really close to some brilliant walks.
Clean and comfortable, good facilities with a nice (very well stocked!) bar and great breakfast.
Very accommodating to the dog, they ensure you're on the ground floor and there's a good area outside to let the dog out easily.
Got a good bargain on booking.com
Room was very warm! And it was a bit of a squeeze for us and the dog, but overall not a problem, given how accommodating they are :)
4.3
The food was excellent. Room very comfortable and clean. Staff super nice. Very Dog friendly. We had a great stay for NYE

The staff were all friendly and accommodating. Dogs were welcome in the bar area. The little pods are away from the pub and we couldn't hear the pub or the garden which was nice. Heating worked well in the pods.
There was also an enclosed area off the pods decking which was handy for the dogs.
4.3
Everything was exactly what we wanted. The rooms were spacious and well equipped (TV, kettle, fridge, en-suite), clean and warm. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing (we stayed for two nights - dinner and breakfast twice) and between the six of us must have tried most things on the menu and it was all top quality. The full English was just what you need before a big walk up Scafell Pike but the Eggs Florentine were perfect too. Dogs and kids welcome. Location perfect for the beach (St Bees) and the mountains from Wasdale Head.
Nothing to fault, at all.
4.3
Really great breakfast included, loads of variety with vegan and gluten free options! The staff were great - checking if our baby needed a high chair and that the food was all ok at the restaurant, also super friendly and helpful with local knowledge. Shower/bath was fab. Bed comfy. Room very clean! Biscuits in room was a nice touch! Lots of parking and good location in the Lake District. We were very happy with the Kellbank! Room was a very good price also!
Some restaurant items were kinda pricey but the serving sizes were massive.
