This charming and authentic Riad is in a great location to explore Fes. Stairs to second and third floor are narrow and a bit tricky to navigate if you are older. The rooms are comfortable each with its own HVAC unit. Would highly recommend dining at Cafe Clock and taking a cooking lesson there with Chef Souad.

Excellent communication from the very beginning. We had Pascal and Loubna arrange a taxi and porter from the train station. Taxi brought us to the medina (about $20 incl tip) and there was a porter to meet us and handle our bags (no idea what the actual cost is, but we handed him about $10 and he seemed pretty happy.)
The home itself is easy to find, once you're shown the landmarks. The bedrooms and bathrooms are good sized, and comfortable. Small breakfast every morning on the roof terrace, then youre off to explore. There are plenty of small touristy restaurants and shops within an easy walk from the home. We had Lalla Loubna arrange a guide for a half-day tour since our time there was limited. Fun and informative, with the typical demonstration/sales stops at carpet factories, clothing weavers, and metal working shop. We had planned on doing some shopping anyway, so didn't mind, and none of the shops were high pressure.
We also had Loubna arrange and prepare a full dinner for us at home one evening. It was wonderful and SOOOO much food. It cost us what a typical nice meal out in any US city would.
For our departure, Loubna arranged another porter/taxi to get us to the station. She also sent us a message later that day to make sure everything went ok for our stay and departure transfer.
If we are ever in Fes again, we will definitely be staying at Dar Eva.

A getaway from the hussle and bussle of the medina. A few issues with the showers in a couple of rooms but they were addressed quickly. Loubna was sweet and attentive and helped planned some of our itineraries.

My husband, niece and I visited Fez for a week and had the distinct pleasure of staying at this beautiful dar in the heart of the medina. We couldn't recommend it more highly! The dar is gorgeous, and was a welcome respite from the hub-bub of the medina at the end of a hot day. But moreover, Pascal (the owner) and Loubna (the gouvernante ) were exemplary hosts who went above and beyond to make sure we had a terrific stay. Communication with them prior to and during the stay was so easy and very detailed. They booked virtually all of the excursions we took while there (several), and all of them were wonderful. I've never experienced such hospitality in all my years of traveling. Every moment of our visit was quite magical, thanks to their attention to detail and hard work.

The very best part of staying at Dar Eva was the house manager Loubna, she was so kind and caring, and helped us with everything! She speaks very good english and made us breakfast every morning, arranged transport, guides, recommended the best Hammam, and made a delicious Moroccan dinner at our request one night. The Dar was as pictured, it was very clean and the products used were not perfumed, which was wonderful for us. The twin beds are very very firm, but they can provide extra padding if you need it. The other beds were perfect for our comfort. Fes is quiet at night, we came home at the end of the day and played Rummikub (that we brought). We are a family of 4 with 2 adult children

The property is located in a quiet part of the medina in Fes. The staff are constantly working to assist with your time in the city and our stay could not have been better. I would return if ever back in Fes.

Wonderful experience!
Our stay in Dar Eva could not have been better. The accommodations were excellent, and our host, Mrs. Loubna, was delightful. She made us a delicious breakfast every morning, an amazing Moroccan pastilla one night, and saw to our every need. We highly recommend Dar Eva.

A gem in the heart of the Fez medina
I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone wishing to have a unique experience in Fez. From booking to checkout, communication was excellent. But the heart of the experience was Mrs Loubna, the housekeeper. She arranged for our tours and a wonderful supper one night during our stay. Her breakfasts every morning were amazing. And her warm and generous personality made everyone in our family feel comfortable and welcome. The accommodations were very nice and the patio inviting. If I’m ever back in Fez, I would definitely come back to Far Eva.

Fabulous place to stay!
This is a wonderful riad to stay in while visiting Fes. So well appointed/decorated and a place of calm after the busyness of Fez. Location makes a very easy stroll to put you in the action of the markets and restaurants. Mrs. Loubna is a treasure, so accommodating and helpful. We had a dinner at the riad which was so good! Suggestions of how to make this place better, absolutely none!

Even better than you might think!
This is an absolutely beautiful house, perfectly maintained. The pictures of the house do not prepare you for how nice the house really is. And as difficult as it seems to find the house the first time you are led here, it really is easy to find once you know where it is (and part of the fun is that the last block is on a street barely wider than your shoulders). Before you leave on your own the first time, Mrs. Loubna walks you out to the main street to make sure you know the landmarks and how to get back, and gives you a map and her phone number just in case you have any problems. The owner, Pascal, responds almost immediately to any question you have before arrival, and the housekeeper/manager, Mrs. Loubna, is as helpful as can be once you get there. Mrs. Loubna's breakfasts are as good as any we had in Morocco-- her crepes are hot and delicious and her coffee is good, hot, and plentiful--, and are served on the terrace on beautiful blue and white Fassi china. Mrs. Loubna arranged a three-hour tour of Fes for us with an excellent guide, and also arranged our absurdly early morning ride to the airport, all with no effort on our part except to ask. We have only one caveat: stairs in Fes seem to be steeper than anywhere we have ever been, so if you have any knee or other mobility issues, staying in a three story house in Fes is probably not the best choice. Otherwise, you'll love it here.

Great place to stay in the Fes Medina
Communicating with the owner Pascal was really easy. He has this great housekeeper Mrs. Loubna who is fantastic. Driving in Fes through rush hour traffic was chaotic and then you meet Mrs. Loubna and an air of calm comes over you. She directed us to an underground parking spot and walked us to the house. We were convinced we would never find our way again, but that was not the case. It is really easy once you get some primary markers which she pointed out for us.
The house itself is lovely and really well located. It is on 3 floors therefore note that there are a number of stairs to climb. We were there February 2019, a little chilly in the evening/early morning but there are heaters that you can turn on. Mrs. Loubna organized a 1/2 day guide for us, I would not normally use a guide but found it very helpful to understand the Fes medina history and culture. She also came back to the house and prepared breakfast every morning. If you are coming through Fes I would recommend Pascal’s Dar Eva. We were a family of four with 2 children aged 9 & 11. We all miss Mrs. Loubna!

Great Perch from which to Explore Fez!
Dar Eva is quiet, comfortable, and centrally located--and was just about perfect place for our four-person family to explore Fez for three nights and four days. The house manager Ms. Loubna was very friendly and helpful, getting our car squared away in a car park, then leading us to the riad. She has good recommendations--and would have set us up with a guide if we had wanted. She took care of our laundry and cooked breakfast. The rooftop had stunning views of the royal palace and old city walls. We had a terrific time and would go back in a minute!

Clean and central
Loubna is a goddess! She took care of us, even when one of our party got sick and couldn’t eat. She made a nice breakfast each morning and accommodated all our requests. Dar Eva is just a short walk from the blue gate and only minutes Rud Talaa Shgria. Highly recommend

Fabulous Fes!
We were greeted at the airport with the transport Pascal helped to arrange and driven right to the gate where we were lead directly to our Riad. The place was beautiful, clean and exactly what we expected! Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy our time there. The housekeeper was lovely and helped arrange excursions and tasty breakfasts each morning. All in all a perfect experience!

Lovely, Simply Lovely
We were a family of four, three adults and one child and Dar Eva was perfect in every way. Tucked away far enough from the bustling Medina, your evenings and mornings were quiet and restful. Nadia the house manager was a great source of information, and when asked, of wonderful conversation. The transportation company they used for shuttling to and fro provided polite and careful drivers.
If you're trying to choose between Dar Eva and another Dar, go with Dar Eva. You won't be disappointed.
