Pros: 4 big bedrooms and a good location
Cons: Just about everything else
Other than finding someone's prescription medication under the bed, it was clean. We've stayed here in the past, and it just gets sadder and sadder. The managing company, who we once used to manage our own rental, puts zero effort into maintaining things beyond the necessary basics. Linens are old and pilled, toilet paper is cheap and scratchy. The kitchen is not well-equipped: for example, there are only 4 dinner forks for a house that sleeps 10. There was no iron or ironing board. No TV service unless you log into your own streaming services. Then there is the toilet in the master bath, which is not evenly installed so it tips forward when you sit on it. We bought a plastic shim to level it while we were there, but I imagine the cleaners will remove it, so you may want to bring your own.

Everything sparkled, from the entryway to the master suite. Perfect balance of minimalism and comfort. This home offers gorgeous ocean views, lots of sleeping space, and a cozy living/eating area. Garage parking is a great bonus!
5.0 / 5.0
This house was great for a large group. We had 3 adults and 6 teens. Had the teens all sleep in the master suite to keep them contained lol. Bathroom was huge and had two sinks. Kitchen is nicely stocked for pots and pans but could use more plates and silverware. Be sure to bring your own condiments and seasoning because it is cleaned between guests. Location is an easy walk to beach access and downtown. There isn’t any beach equipment so be sure to pack your own chairs and boogie boards. Great supply of beach towels though. Nice view from the deck and kitchen table.

This home was perfect for our family of 7. Plenty of room for everyone, fully stocked kitchen, walking distance to the beach and beachfront shops. We will be back!

Very good location and the house was very clean. Could use better wifi. Would definitely rent again.
4.0 / 5.0
The views of the ocean and Morro Rock were excellent. Very centrally location to the town center. Beach access right down the street from the house. Guest room mattresses were older and should be replaced. The drive way is a shared drive way with the house next door. Access in and out of the driveway was no easy. Parking more than two cars (in the garage or the driveway) was difficult with the neighbors car as an obstacle. The house is well suited for a large group and overall a good family vacation home.

The area located was overall really nice. The house had a great view from the balcony. The price was also very affordable for the time and location. I do have two issues with the house. The downstairs bathroom had mold in the shower. My travel partners complained that the first floor bed and the twin bed in the second floor room were uncomfortable and made a lot of noise whenever you moved at night. Aside from that, everything else was very nice.

The house had a great location and plenty of room for 10 people. We only had a few issues, the descriptions of the place doesn't detail out what type of coffee maker it was and what is provided. We had to contact them to find out. Also they only give you 1 roll of paper towels and 2 rolls of TP in each bathroom. And when you have 10 people you go through both of those items really quickly. We had to go out and purchase extra. The main full bath by all the bedrooms has mold growing inside the faucet. This is not very sanitary. And the kitchen sink has a water filter for drinking watering and we were super excited, until we tried using it and no water came out. We had to buy lots of bottle water for drinking. The beds were not comfortable at all. Overall my family had a great time in cayucos and the stay wasn't bad. Would we stay at this location again, probably not.
3.0 / 5.0
The location of the home is perfect. About a 4-5 minute walk to the beach, and about a 5 minute walk into the adorable town of Cayucos. There are two balconies, one with a grill and table so you can see the ocean while having dinner. The house is 3 floors - the garage level that also has a bedroom, the middle level that has two bedrooms, the living room, kitchen, and dining room, and the top level that has the master bedroom and bath. House has 2 1/2 baths. Kitchen is fully stocked and had all the appliances we needed. The garage just barely fit two SUVs. It had some beach chairs we used for the beach which was nice. Fireplaces were nice to have for the couple of chilly evenings we had.
There were several things that need significant improvement. There are lamps in the house with no switches, so you have plug/unplug them when you want them on/off. Lots of carpet in the house, which caused allergy problems for a couple of us. All furniture is outdated, and appliances are as well. They work, but as an example, you have to be careful when you're baking because the temperature is not accurate. Microwave is very loud. One of the beds had sand in it, so we were concerned that linens may not have been changed. Washer and dryer are great, but they can hold only very small loads. One of the patio doors doesn't have a fully functioning lock, so you have to manually clasp it to ensure it locks. We also ran out of paper towels halfway through the week's stay, and when we called the contact person, she brought us 1 roll and said that was all she had in her car. Last, the house utilizes DSL. So frustrating for the 8 of us, particularly when trying to watch movies or TV, let alone use phones or iPads. We would not stay here again unless the house had enough upgrades to bring it into the 2000s. In its current state, it's like living in the 90s.

Great Stay
The house was ideal for our needs. It is close to excellent beach walking and close enough to restaurants & businesses to walk. Donelle, the property manager, could not have been more helpful.

Great location; accommodated us well.
The house is tired. The owner needs to live in the house for several days to notice the issues.
We were all not happy about not having internet. We should have been notified beforehand. The property manager said she would give us the neighbors' code, but then found out that could never have happened. She should have been forthright.
Below is a list of some of the issues. It was not a five star experience, although the house accommodated us well, and we had a great family reunion.
The fence had been blown over. It was then brought down, but the demolition debris remained on site.
The master suite toilet plugged up twice during our stay.
The two desks were not draining during rains.
Fascia board in the front was coming off.
Sprinkler system came on during rain events. Also , when sunny, the system overwatered; water was running down the sidewalk. Wasteful!
There was green algae on the middle level bathroom faucet.
Two light bulbs over the dining room should be replaced.
Front door bell needs to be replaced.
Teflon pans need to be replaced - a health concern.
Plastic cutting boards need to be replaced.
Cookie sheet took 15 mins to clean off.

Great time in Cayucos
This multi-story home was a very good place for our extended family to celebrate the Thanksgiving week. We were especially impressed when after noting the lack of mugs and wine glasses, Donelle was by that afternoon with plenty to get us through the week.

Advising of future problem
Just wanted to advise you that there is another chair we found that would be considered unsafe ( very shaky). We didn’t use it until the other chair broke and discovered that it wasn’t good.

Wow the fees!
The property is actually very good. Everyone was happy with the property. I think it is time for vrbo to look at the fees charged for a rental. I always shop for what I believe is the best price for all concerned but truth in advertising is becoming a problem. When I rent a home the price per night easily becomes nearly twice that. Get a grip! I will quit using the service for this very reason.

Ocean Mornings
This house has a good view of the ocean and is within walking distance of the beach and downtown Cayucos. It was comfortable with four bedrooms. It had a large enough area for us ladies to put up tables so we could scrapbook and make cards. Would definitely rent this property again.

Disappointed
Renting was easy disappointed overall.

THE GOOD:- The house has a lovely ocean view.- It's interior layout provides lots of privacy and quiet.- We had a baby napping in one part of the house and couldn't hear a peep from the other areas of the house.- Cayucos is a cool old-school California beach town. Neighboring Morro Bay has good seafood restaurants.- The beach is a four minute walk.- The sound of the ocean at night from the master bedroom is wonderful.THE NOT SO GOOD: - It's right on the road and when you open the windows to enjoy the ocean breeze, it's as though cars and trucks are driving through your living room - not a ton of traffic, but a constant flow - not so much at night. It's easy enough to get used to I guess.- The carpet in the lower levels of the house is really dirty. It's from people walking in the house with dirty, sandy feet. Leaving a hose outside to wash feet would help a lot.- There was zero dishwashing detergent or laundry detergent - this amenity exists in every other Vacasa property we've visited.- The internet was DSL. (For those too young to know what that is, I had DSL in 1998). The DSL stopped working completely, which made it impossible to Zoom into our kids' classes.- The Vacasa technician who came to help with Internet wore a bandana face covering. When he entered, he kindly removed his shoes, and also his bandana. - Of the two beds I slept in, one bed squeaked loudly when you roll over. The other had plastic covering that rustled (remove).- The plastic table and chairs on the balcony off the master bedroom are dried out, dirty, and moldy - probably 15 years old - and spoil the balcony. - The kitchen sink spigot has two temperatures: cold and scalding hot. Unfortunately, the cold water only comes out at a trickle. So to get enough water pressure to efficiently do dishes, I would opt for the scalding water and burn my hands about 25 times per day. - The TV (and couches) has been updated from the picture on the website, but the TV has a big dark streak running vertically from top to bottom right down the middle of the screen.- The cable / internet connection that the TV uses is terrible and therefore pauses every few seconds. Hard to watch news or live sports.- The tank of propane ran out and there was no back up tank. The back up tank was delivered by the Vacasa technician about 18 hours after I called Vacasa. That was unfortunate because I had marinated some awesome kebabs for lunch - and like every other Vacasa property I've used, I expected a back up tank.- The lightbulb in the fridge is out. - FYI - There aren't any beach toys for kids.

This home was perfect for our family with lots of space for everyone. The kitchen is well-equipped, beds are comfortable, and soaps and linens are provided. The location offers a nice view of the Pacific and an easy walk to the beach. We found a faucet in the back yard to wash sand off our feet and shoes in the backyard. Understandably, we experienced some traffic noise on the weekend, but this quieted down during the week. A few suggestions for management: adjust the kitchen faucet so it is possible to get a nice flow of cold water; and advise the cleaning service to arrive at check-out or later (not an hour early wondering when we are leaving). We had a great time!

Short description
Good location .
Not happy; zero hangers in closets to hang up clothes, only a few chairs to use at beach (for a home that accommodates 9), no extra trash bags , 3 rolls of extra t.p. For 9 people over 4 days (really?!?!), no screens in several windows, tv would go out periodically, dirty towels were in one of the bathrooms when we arrived , smoke alarm was beeping constantly ( we finally removed battery), deck furniture was filthy ,

Nice house
The home was nice, and fit everyone just fine. The cleanliness was less than we expected. Stairs were very dirty, as was the patio. there is mold on the hall tub/shower. The beds were uncomfortable, the front door did not stay closed (unless you used the dead bolt, and the jetted tub did not work.

Perfect Location
This home was the perfect location and size for all of our activities. We are a non-profit that conducts surf camps for special needs children. Although participants are local, we fly in our instructors from North Carolina and needed a large home and large garage to hold all of our surfboards, wetsuits, life guards and a ton of other stuff.

Annual family Trip
What’s not to love? This is our second stay here in six months. It’s a great house that sleeps ten comfortably. Location is great... It a block from beach access and a 15 min walk to down town. The kitchen is well stocked except for the broken waffle iron from “1902” 😁. Truly the best vacation our family had. We’ll definitely be back!

Great Spot and Great Location!
Loved the house, it was very well kept and so clean. It was located 5 mins away from the beach in Cayucos, about 15 mins from Morro Bay and 30 from Pismo. The house was just a 5 min walk from the shops and eateries in town. Such a great spot and we couldn't have been happier.

Lots of room!
My friends and I rented this home for a small getaway of 4 days. The kitchen was well stocked, we cooked and dined on the patio. The home was comfortable, laid out well for privacy and spacious! We truly enjoyed walking into town and along the beach. We took advantage of the late checkout option for an additional fee, it was well worth it.
