The Javanese hut we stayed in was very spacious, clean and complete with a large comfortable bed and good WiFi. We had a very peaceful stay at the ecolodge as it is set in nature near rice fields, however the town is only a 20 minute walk away. The pool was a big bonus for us - we loved waking up each morning to have a swim, the pool is long enough to do proper lengths! The hosts and the staff were so accommodating and friendly, they made us feel right at home. As we did not have scooters they offered to drive us to Tanah Lot and a local warung where they recommended we try the babi guling which was delicious. We ate dinner at the property each night and glad we did as the cooking was authentic and tasty. We loved the amount of fresh tropical fruit provided each day, the breakfast was generous and very good also.
It was quite difficult to explore the area without scooters as we found that Grab did not work here. However this was not an issue due to the hospitality and kindness of the hosts and staff who gave us lifts to a couple of places that we wanted to go to.

I spent one night here on a quick vacation and I must say that the stay was really pleasant. The room was quite spacious and comfortable. As for the location, I like how it is engulfed in this traditional village atmosphere — a rural gem. It has a swimming pool that is perfect for a relaxing afternoon when I want to unwind. The staff was friendly and I appreciate the owners for enforcing COVID-19 health protocols and eco-friendly concepts during my stay.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for couples, families or single travelers who would like a leisurely time at Bali’s rural area.

I was at the ecolodge for two days and one night. I really enjoyed relaxing in the swimming pool amid the lush garden area surrounding the place, especially during sunsets. At night, the atmosphere is somewhat magical with the traditional architecture. I also greatly appreciated the pro-local, eco-friendly tourism idea that they are implementing, such as using refillable glass bottles instead of plastic bottles or using locally-sourced products in their breakfast menu.
Overall, I found the place clean and tidy with adequate amenities.

As soon as you get inside Alas arum ecolodge you enter an enchanting authentic balinese village
Ketut Sadia warmly welcomes you and this is just the beginning of you total immersion
1st of all they have 4 fantastics joglo style bungalows extremely well furnished and decorated + super mattress bed quality
Now start the whole experience :
We started to help cooking our dinner (traditional balinese meals including tempe, urap , curry) ; after dinner we got initiated to gamelan rehearsal
Next day, after breakfast I learned how to braid palm leaves to turn them into offers to the gods
Then we walked into the village meeting and greeting people and we took bikes into the ricefields it was awesome
We did not meet any tourists ! Only locals
I can only recommend such a wonderful stay for a unique balinese experience !
