Close to subway station in the middle of Tokyo, online check-in, entry code instead of key, safe environment, comfy mattress, clean toilet and shower room. Staff are very helpful and kind

Cosy hostel with good atmosphere. The room was big enough with comfortable beds and a good bathroom. Location is not the best, but close to a station and a neighbourhood with lots of restaurants.
Breakfast is not really worth it. You get 1 bagel (which tastes good) with some granola, yoghurt and a coffee. Enough to fill your stomach, but not really a treat.

The place itself was amazing
How far away from the subways

The location was convenient. The lounge / restaurant area downstairs was nice.
Too many emails in the confirmation and check out process. 8 in total. it is too much and hard to know which ones contain important information.

The double private room is very clean and spacious (for Tokyo). I loved the free breakfast! Tasty and filling.

We were out and about all day so couldnt' tell much about hostel experience except comfort bed and free bagel/coffee which is simple but enough for what we need in the morning.
One thing I really love about is the location, its area wouldn't be recommended as top 5 areas to stay in Tokyo on the internet, however I find it very charming and vibrant neighborhood. You are surrounded by local people and many cool trendy cafes and japanese authentic restaurants. so easy access to the metro station that doesnt take too long to go to any areas in Tokyo.

Good location in a cute little residential area:) You can get the authentic Japanese vibe. Friendly staff. A cafe with good food and coffee at the first floor. Spacious bathrooms which is something you don’t often get in Japan!
Like any other hostels it could get nosy during the night…But it really depends on the people who are staying.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at UNPLAN Kagurazaka. The staff was incredibly hospitable and proficient in English, exceeding my expectations for service in Tokyo. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable and it was spacious enough for me as a backpacker. Another standout feature was the variety of amenities offered. The comfortable and quiet rooms provided a great resting place after a day of sightseeing. Furthermore, the opportunity to interact with other travelers added to the enriching experience.
The complimentary breakfast, although appreciated, was a bit too light. It would have been nice to have a more substantial meal to fuel up for a day of sightseeing in Tokyo. Perhaps the addition of more protein-based options or local dishes would make this meal more satisfying. Another minor drawback was the lack of sufficient space for luggage in the rooms. While this is a common problem in dormitories, any improvements in this area, such as offering secure lockers or additional storage facilities, would be appreciated.

The free breakfast was a very nice light meal! The staff was excellent, more than willing to help! All of them spoke English at a proficient level which I did not expect at all. One of the women working there phoned ahead to a hotel for me to confirm a booking I was having issues with. I speak Japanese but nowhere near fluent so it was exceptionally helpful and I'm very grateful for the staff being so kind! The room was very clean and had good lighting and plenty of room for me (I'm travelling with a backpack, with suitcase it would be tighter). Also a great place to meet other travellers! Overall, an excellent experience!

The hostel was clean, comfortable, and had everything what you need: Good bed in a quiet room, lundry automat, iron, kitchen, fridge, elevator, even free bikes. The breakfast was good for drive you to lunchtime, supermarkets are closeby and there is also a restaurant with pasta dishes on the ground floor.
I was really happy with everything!:) Ok not much place for the luggage, but that's a common problem for dormitories...
Ah one thing: a bit more English translations please, see photo!:D

I've been here before when I moved to Japan last year, so I thought it should be the same hostel from where I go when I move out.
I love the area and the vibe of the place. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
This time I stayed in the female dorm, not the mixed one, and only after the first night I noticed the private bathroom door.
The dorm is a bit cramped when you have many luggages to travel with.
They changed their breakfasts. Now they include a small bagel, yoghurt, coffee in their breakfast, if that wouldn't be enough you can buy the more filling one at their cafe.

The hotel was near the Kagurazaka station, so it was a big plus.
It has a large common room.
The price included a breakfast
The dorm room feels a bit stuffy overall. The bed light was very dim, and it was placed at an awkward position (down near the bed), so there was not enough light inside your pod.
It was very easy to confused the bar and the sauna's staff with the hostel's staff (they do not work for the same establishment)

nice location, nice spot
the kitchen / commun area isn’t super cozy and a bit dirty but all the rest was very good and clean

Staff was very nice and helpful whenever you needed them.
You can do your laundry just for a few yen if you need to.
Everything was very clean.
Breakfast kinda falls short. It also starts at 8am which I would consider late if you want to explore the city in the morning.
For some reason the bunk bed is not completely closed in the bottom part and it is facing a window. Since Japan doesn’t have daily light savings sunrise is at 5am, so it will be broad daylight from that hour on. You do have a curtain but it is quite short, so light gets in anyway. Actually the curtain facing the room is also short, I was in an upper bed and I could see people walking around the room even when it was closed. I got very little sleep while staying here, so I wouldn’t recommend.

it was clear, nice coffee shop in the local, helpful staffs
Unfortunately I couldn’t get many times coffee because they didn’t have change for cash in a hostel with a lot of foreigners.

Very clean and quiet location. Nice breakfast included.
The lock to open the door was sometimes difficult because some of the numbers on the keypad were not very sensitive so I would have to try several times to open the door. Also, some roommates were loud, but I suppose that’s to be expected in a hostel.

Nice staff, the complementary breakfast was really handy, I especially liked the granola! It was useful that I could do an online check in, because I got into the city quite late from the airport. Nice area, lot’s of places to eat or drink. You can take a bike too, which is a nice way to get around in the city. I would deffinitely come back!
No place/locker to put your bag. The light in the bed was a little low. I don’t like coffee, so tea would be nice for breakfast too. :)

there is a big lounge space for the guests. they allow to keep the luggage for free after check-out in case you have an afternoon/evening flight schedule. staffs are polite and friendly. i enjoyed the free breakfast (but i hope it starts at 7am).
no luggage storage. i needed to arrange my stuff along the hallway because the room for 14 people is too small. no usb outlet for charging at beside (only plug-in so you need a universal adaptor ready). all amenities (towels, slippers, etc) are either for rental/sale.

chic, centrally located and friendly service
too many introverted solo travelers, no community feel or group trips

great location for my needs, clean and reasonably priced. I liked the pods because they had extra space next to the bed to put a backpack/small bag.
it could have been my luck but both nights the shower was lukewarm (didn’t help that it was winter). unsure where to put used sheets in the hallway as I couldn’t find the box that was mentioned?

A clean and quiet hostel, well connected by the public transport. The wooden capsule like bed spaces provide for some privacy from the other guests, as well as act as sound proof. The staff are very friendly and the check-in is easy. There's free coffee, bagels and yogurt for breakfast and other other options on the cafe menu.
