Nice venue for wedding
Needs a paint as very worn and could be cleaner. No proper curtain in front window let light in early.

Hotel was nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. One of them even saved me when the door handle came off when I was in the bathroom and got stuck.
lack of parking. if you come back later in the evening you will likely have to park on the road like I did. pillows were basically like paper and the man on the desk wasnt able to find us any more.

The location was perfect to Barry Island - yes a good 10 minute walk and a bit hilly but lovely walk to the island
The stairs to the room and could do with a clean up at the front of the building

My 2 night stay at The Mount Rooms hotel was amazing. All staff were amazing and made me very welcome and were very helpful and very extremely friendly. Went above and beyond to help and nothing was too much Will definitely return soon.
The only negative was the curtains in the room they were slightly not wide enough for the large window.

The room was basic but clean. Good size room.
Wasn't expecting to be in the cottage part of the hotel which is up quite a few steps and not well lit at night. The room was big but basic. Couldn't figure out how to get hot water out of the tap, and the coffee wasn't very nice *sorry. I've stayed in the Mount a few times and loved the rooms in the main hotel more than the cottage, and there was no full breakfast option so we went out for breakfast instead.

The room was clean and the hotel was very close to where we needed to be, as well as a short walk from Barry Island for a stroll in the morning.
The room was tiny and my partner, who is 6' 3", could not get in the shower without maneuvering a lot! Unfortunately, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, to the point that we may as well have slept on the floor! The mattress had springs sticking out of it and the pillows were basically non existent. Wouldn't recommend. Wish I'd paid a bit more for the premier inn.

The photos online is not what they are like in person they are tidy but the smell is awful smells like damp caravan, the mattress are so uncomfortable
The smell of the rooms , the bath had rust from it being old , the mattress so uncomfortable and springs hurting me , the cleaners came made the beds like a 5 year old didn’t re stock coffees tea etc and didn’t want the spoon and cups

Basic but comfortable. Staff friendly.
Shower was scalding. I was aware that there was music playing at around 6 am. Not a problem for me as I was up and it wasn't directly below/next to me, but I can imagine it could have been unwelcome otherwise.

The location is far from Cardiff Central but fortunately the train station is just down the road

Shocked is an understatement. I would have been a returning customer as working in Barry over the next 3 months and would have recommended to my team but given the response I will not be returning so I hope the extra £144 was worth it
At the point of check in I was not told about the additional booking nor given another key and therefore this feels very dishonest
I sm sure members of the council will be interested to hear about how visitors to the Vale ate treated

Beautiful room, beautiful views and half the price of all the other hotels and the bar was very nice

there is nothing to like about the property just because of the RUDENESS of the staff

Me and my partner stayed here for 4 nights and loved our room. We had a sea view room and was very clean and comfortable. However was unaware that you have to go through the hotel to the back of the hotel outside up loads of steps which was sometimes wet and slippery to get to the room, really struggled especially when pregnant. Wasn’t worth the view with all of that every day.
Parking isn’t the greatest only had 5 car spaces had to park on the road. Wouldn’t stay here again especially for a week, better off just for a day or 2.

The DJ threw a strop at the end of the night that almost ruined the event

proximity to Cardiff airport and price
not as expected photos on website we’re misleading. the shower was too hot and couldn’t be regulated. was disappointed that there was no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms as we arrived late after a long day travelling. parking was difficult and ended parking on the road quite away from the premises at 1 am

We loved the bath and the view the staff were nice and warm
Bed needs changing as we could feel all the springs in the bed.plus there were no coffee or tea in the room like last time

I like the room service option, the bed was comfortable, would recommend it for a nice night away, Barry Island isn't too far, max 10 minute drive which makes it good.
Their food options were very limited when you look on their app for room service, we ended up going out to eat elsewhere than the bar in the hotel.
