while there were some drawbacks, the Glamour Hotel Mirissa offers a satisfactory stay. Consider it if you’re looking for

The hotel property was well-maintained. The English breakfast provided was enjoyable. Convenient parking facilities.

The area had a mosquito problem, which affected our stay. The presence of dogs was a concern.

Den mest fantastiska personalen vi träffat!

Personalen var helt enastående, några av de mest hjärtliga och varma människor vi någonsin träffat! Stort tack till Kolitha och Amith för de oförglömliga dagarna. Frukosten var jättegod, fin utsikt mot vattnet, perfekt läge och mysig innergård. Bara en minuts promenad från den bästa badstranden. En bonus var den fina lilla familjen med hundvalpar som brukade hälsa på oss 😀 tack för ett fantastiskt minne, vi rekommenderar Glamour starkt!

Zeer mooi verblijf

Zeer mooie ruime schone kamer met goedwerkende AC met op loopafstand van het strand en andere activiteiten. Gastheren enorm vriendelijk en denken graag mee. Goed westers ontbijt met eventueel aanpassingen naar Sri Lankaans indien je dit graag wil/aangeeft

A perfect option for a stay in Mirissa!

Fantastic location right near Mirissa’s main beach, such friendly staff who were very kind natured, a comfy room with good WiFi and great air con, excellent value for money, very responsive via messenger beforehand and during the stay, two cute puppies which were well looked after!

It’s good as budget room

The place is close to the beach with just a few steps crossing the road. The room charge is cheap.

The hot water and cold water is separated for shower. Need to open at the same time.

Very good location and clean rooms.

The rooms were clean and spacious. Walkable distance to the nicest beaches and restaurants. They were responsive and helped.

The staffs were not available at all times.

A cosy, comfortable home for your stay and well worth the money.

Loved the entire area of the property. Very spacious and had lots of places for people to sit down and relax. The owner, Roman, was a fantastic host. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Room was pleasant and the washroom was clean, and the hot water also worked quite well. The overall cost for the stay was absolutely worth it.

There wasn't much to dislike, but there are a few minor things that bugged me. There were quite a few flies in my room. There were also a lot of mosquitoes and flies in the bar area, where I had breakfast.

Not our favourite

Roman and the staff were very nice, but the room we had on the ground floor was not it. It’s very expensive for what you get compared to anywhere else in the country. I would skip Mirissa altogether, or stay more inland where it’s less noisy and more affordable.

Przestronny pokój, blisko do plaży. W pokoju była lodówka i klimatyzacja. Śniadania dobre i syte. Personel bardzo miły. Zawsze była ciepła woda pod prysznicem (w tym kraju nie zawsze się to zdarza).

Na śniadanie trzeba było długo czekać, ale można to zrozumieć, bo chyba ich przygotowaniem zajmowała się jedna osoba. Duże łóżko podwójne zawierało dwa pojedyncze materace.

Airconditioning and wifi were very good, great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, amazing Sri Lankan ‘hurry curry’ cooking class, the Spa treatment and massage booking, location near the beach for swimming with turtles

It wasn’t a beach front property main road between property and beach access, noisy location due to main road and near outdoor Petti Petti restaurant and dance club, hot water didn’t work but this was not a big issue as the cold water showers were refreshing

Super basic. Overpriced.

Close to the beach. But so is the everything in Mirissa

You had to pay cash. The price was presented in USD not rupees but you had to pay rupees. I felt like we were getting ripped off. Breakfast wasn’t offered. No one cleaned our room. Everything was so basic and it didn’t feel safe. Dogs on the property barked so much in the night.

Deceiving

The location and staff

The room was not so clean, there was humidity in one wall and dirt in another wall. The worst is that the photos in this platform are very deceiving. One choses the hotel taking the photos into consideration, and you create a certain expectation that doesn’t correspond with the reality.

The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Upon check-in staff explained everything and told us about the best spots in mirissa and how to get there. Great hospitality. It’s convenient location is an added bonus.

a bad experience overall.

The photos which you can take near the reception area and nothing more !!

1. the entrance to the hotel is a really small road which is tough for vehicles to manoeuvre. 2. there was no caretaker to help us with the luggage and a proper check in process. 3. the room was filled with mosquitoes. 4. the bathroom was stinking very very badly . 5. I think this will make you think 10 times b4 u land up here.

Too many flies and mosquitoes. Staff sets essential oil in the room. but still not enough. For outside environment (especially breakfast area), no obvious measurement can be found. Maybe some mosquitoes coil or liquid can help.

Great hotel for a beach holiday

The staff are very friendly and the owner who is from Slovakia is very interesting to talk to. The breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka and the bread was definitely the best in Sri Lanka! The hotel is a very short walk to the beach and there are shops and lots of facilities nearby. A great place to stay for a beach holiday.

We really loved this place. So cosy, clean and beautiful. perfect location and just a few steps away from the beach. Our room had an outdoor bathroom and we really liked it. The staff is absolutely brilliant and so friendly and helpful. Also the owner, Roman is a very good and helpful man. We can really recommend you to stay at Glamour in Mirissa. we’ll absolutely be back!

A simple place with an amazing location.

It's a simple, nice place to stay in Mirissa. The breakfast was nice, and the shower had hot water, which is apparently a rarity in Southern Sri Lanka. But the best thing about the hotel is the location - just 100 meters from Mirissa Beach!

We had a room on the first floor, so didn't feel comfortable opening the curtains.

Great location, 3mins from the beach, with lots of dining options around. Welcoming, helpful and accommodating host (allowed us to use the room to shower, even after checkout / late return from whale watching).
