Location. Staff was friendly. River view and garden was very good. Boat trip to the bridge was great.
Dinner price was to high. Wi Fi in room not available due to weak signal. Bar facilities not available. Only a fridge with a few items. Shaded parking a problem.

Easy check in. Peace and quiet
Spiders in the room and mosquitoes. Out door furniture dirty and spider webbs.

Fantastic location
For the price a plain dinner can be included as we got at another lodge

Very comfortable beds and silent aircon in very clean rooms.

the rooms are new and very comfortable. The location on the edge of the river is stunning as are the trees and garden. Beautiful views. bird life very nice. Pity that the only other guests there, left empty drinks by the garden chairs at the river and these were never cleaned. the owner was very friendly and helpful. we only had breakfast there. it was basic.
the place is being worked on and looks a mess in certain areas, the pool and entertainment area/bar is a dilapidated storage mess. as is the large bar lapa. the parking area is also being repaired and more building site than hotel reception. the dinning room and reception neglected. the boat jetty has fallen into disrepair. Considering this they should be running a special rate and advising guests before they arrive.

Everything about this place is amazing, please go and see for yourself
just the WiFi is a bit slow but normal... so don't expect top notch WiFi ... but you can communicate on socials

I liked the river view rooms setup
The rooms had no wall wardrobes hence no where to put bags and clothing.

Lovely room and a nice location by the river.
Organised a good value afternoon river cruise for us.
Overall slightly disappointing...
-Staff were a bit surprised to see guest arriving at the property :) :) :)
-Pool area needs some attention.
-Strangely was a 'big deal' to get lunch served.
-Served breakfast with very limited choice and the coffee was undrinkable.
-Expensive buffet only option for dinner.

The location of the property is very good.
The rooms are ok, however, the aircon was not working in one of the rooms for which they allocated another room but even in that room, the aircon wasn’t working. Also, for activities, it is better to look for local tour guides rather than booking with the hotel.

The setting on the river is very nice. Their activities (boat cruise and Vic Falls shuttle) are reasonably priced and a pleasant experience. The breakfast was also good. The bed is really comfortable. The room is cleaned dayly.
We have been traveling through Namibia and Botswana prior to arriving at Tara Chobe lodge. Comparing to other places where we stayed with the same dayly rate, Tara is a little bit overpriced with what you get. I asked for some kind of stool or small table in the bathroom to put stuff on, and I never received it. We had to put all our stuff on the floor. There are very limited TV channels compared to prior accommodation priced the same. There are only 2 loungers at the swimming pool. The curtains in our chalet need some alteration.

I love its location, mysterious entrance, open lake view, authentic local grass-roofed holiday home, awakened by strange and lovely bird calls, clean room with lovely bedding, especially mosquito net cover. Thanks to the fast internet, great and delicious breakfast and dinner, friendly staff, beautiful sunsets and encountering different kinds of wildlife on the Chobe River I am amazed...
Will be back soon! ! !
The newly grew trees and grass are still young. I am sure this will be one of the best lodges in Kasane.

I loved the scenery, absolutely stunning view of the river. An African sunset is so unique and so beautiful. The food is great (and has a quirky selection of dishes!). The staff are friendly and very informative. The activities offered were all splendid and I was extremely satisfied having spotted animals I had never seen before. I finally understand the fear of being in the proximity of a lion, but the guide calmed me down; a truly amazing experience!
There were a couple small things like WiFi and selection of TV channels which were rather limited. That is definitely no major issue though, considering this area is all about being immersed in the beauty of nature.

Location was fantastic..abundance of birdlife....many Hippos in front of lodge and elephants on the side of lodge which gave me great joy to watch...All the rooms were newly renovated as an african theme with modern comforts and luxury....The breakfast and dinner was superb ...All staff were well trained to service me whenever needed....Overall,I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I would certainly recommend it to family and friends......
It was too too quiet in the middle of the night......Im not used to it

The location was absolutely perfect. The full English breakfast that was provided was excellent as well.
It was a bit difficult to find the place. It was our first time going there and we were unable to easily see signs posted letting us know how to get there.

worst experience
i was deducted cash without even spending a night; and there was no listening to me considering I had missed my flight.
6.0
the proximity to the river
they are in full renovation so the best suites are not available and the restaurant and bar neither. pool was dirty but breakfast was good although a bit make-shift
2.9
Location at the river
Big Five charged a much higher price than agreed in the contract with Booking.com (Big Five charged a wrong exchange rate). Neither Big Five nor Booking.com reacted to our complaints.
Our room didn't have light and we had to change to a less nice room but didn't get any refund.
There was no soap at the restaurant toilets over several days.
6.7
Location location - on the river
Lack of management resulted in many issues not being attended to. Staff need supervision and direction. The buffet dinner on arrival was totally unacceptable.
10.0
African style accommodation with separate chalets with verandah en suite...
Some with lively river views
Chalets are well appointed and comfortable
Only down side... Restaurant can be improved on
