About this apartment rental
**10% discount for 7+ night stays** A wonderful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom ground floor apartment in the beautiful Bolt Head development which sits above the beautiful South Sands beach. Allocated parking for 1 car with additional dedicated visitor parking also available (electric car charging point available on site, restricted to property guests)
A fantastic holiday rental for those wishing to explore the South Devon area, 2 minutes walk to the South Sands beach with the South Sands hotel and Harbour Beach Club hotel offering food and drink throughout the day from a wonderful settings on the beach, open all year. The beach also offers a great beach cafe and watersports hire centre, and half hourly ferry into the centre of Salcombe town, available between Easter break and October half term. A further 10 minute walk takes you to the famous North Sands beach with relaxed dining year round at the Winking Prawn beach restaurant. A 2 minute walk the other direction takes you to the breathtaking National Trust 'Overbecks'. Plenty to keep everyone busy!
The property has a wonderfully spacious open plan kitchen/diner/lounge area. The apartment sleeps 4, with 1 kingsize bedroom with ensuite (shower & bath), 1 twin bedroom and family bathroom. The property shares beautiful communal gardens with a lovely courtyard area great for relaxing on summer evenings (the apartment opens out into and overlooks the courtyard area - there are wonderful sea views from communal areas on the property however not from the property itself).
The property is beautifully furnished, with 4K TV, DVD player, Bluetooth Speaker, broadband / Wifi.
Regrettably we can't accept pets or smoking.

Property was faultlessly clean and really well presented- nice to have almost a separate area for our teenager with own bathroom etc.
Really easy check in and great comms from the owners.
We came with our EV and was a godsend to get access to the on site EV charging which was cheap and the only one for miles!
Salcombe is a great place- the south beach was great in the good weather we got and the South Sands hotel provided a welcome watering hole on a few occasions.
Not the easiest place to drive around admittedly- best to walk if you are able.

Perfect location for walking the countryside and close to sandy beach. You have many choices to get to the town where there are a number of choices to eat and drink. Condo owners have done much to make your stay enjoyable but the seasoned traveller will discover a few misses

Also walking distance to beaches and restaurants.
We had dinner at South sands hotel and lunch at the winking prawn both if which I would recommend.

Bad start. Crashed car 2 minutes from location. The property was clean and well equipped. Pity about the lack of outside space.
Left a day early due to weather and need to organise car repair.

Wonderful apartment with every little requirement considered. We even arrived to welcome milk and choc digestives...very welcome after an 8 hour journey!
Stunning location in beautiful South Sands and we were blessed with fantastic weather. Bo's cafe also hires kayaks, SUPs etc so all very convenient. South Sands ferry is the perfect compromise for teenagers who are not keen walkers, and parents who are!

The property was perfect, we had great short stay which wished was longer when leaving. Location to Salcombe and South Sand beach was great and parking was great 👍 We will definitely be returning and would recommend to anyone wishing to stop in south sands area.

This is a clean, spacious property in an excellent position to enjoy the Salcombe area. The only negative was a somewhat damp, fusty smell in the cupboards that tended to taint the crockery. We left them out on the worktop and that solved it.

Excellent property with everything you need. Beware the 60+ steps from bottom to top of site if you are not too mobile. Fantastic views from the top of the steps, lovely courtyard and good for nearby walks.

Beautiful clean modern apartment, conveniently situated at South Beach , Salcombe. Facilities excellent. Wonderful views from the development. Only disappointment is no sunny balcony or space immediately outside the apartment. Great value for money though. Would re-book if I come back to Salcombe.

Really lovely two bed, two bath apartment. Had everything you might need, dishwasher, washing machine etc. It was easy to see that it is a well loved home!

My family and I had a great weekend break in South Sands Salcombe . The Bolt Head apartment was an excellent location right by the beach with coastal walks but also within easy reach of Salcombe center by an half hour walk or 10 minute drive. We enjoyed a drink on the hotels terraces relaxing and taking in the atmosphere. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Will certainly be returning !

An absolute gem of a find.
Great location in South Sands and just over a 1.5 mile walk into the heart of Salcombe just be warned there are two huge hills to negotiate.

Perfect escape
We found this home to be perfect for our family of 4. Plenty of room for us all and a quick walk to food and beverages. We would absolutely recommend and stay here again.

Best view of Salcombe estuary
Rather dark inside = relatively poor lighting.. Disappointed that there was no view from the property but made up for by the superb one from the site bench; we were very lucky with weather. Nice courtyard for late afternoon drinks!
Our layte ages made getting around the site and outside places hard and the car was necessary for even the shortest distances.

Great Stay at Lovely Property
Very pleased with the property, Very clean and Spacious, Great to have parking available, Beautiful views from the Grounds and just a Stones throw from the South Sands Beach perfect for catching the brilliant Ferry to Salcombe (a must for anyone staying in the area) Will definitely book again!!!!

The property was clean and tidy and of good proportions. Linens and towels were also of a good standard. There was no freezer which was my error for not checking but I was surprised that the apartment didn't have one. The microwave is set fairly high up in a cupboard so can be difficult for average size people to get things in and out safely as you do have to reach up. It is situated close to south sands beach and the coastal path which is great and the views are stunning. However, there is nothing in regards to amenities or shops without travelling into Salcombe itself which is not any easy drive down the narrow roads which you regularly have to reverse back on to allow someone through - I found this quite stressful personally. The ferry is a short walk to get to which takes you to Salcombe, however, it is worth pointing out that a return trip for a family of four (2 x adults/2 x children) will cost you £32 a day and walking into Salcombe with a young family would be quite difficult on the narrow, winding incredibly busy roads and we went in October. The apartment doesn't get any natural sunlight and is in a dark corner of the complex. It also has an over riding smell of damp and this is clearly an issue as there are portable de-humidifiers hanging from the curtains in the lounge and 2 x bedrooms. There are 7 x various diffusers situated around the flat to clearly disguise the smell of damp but I felt it just made the problem worse and its an area that clearly needs addressing. It also doesn't have great sound proofing and although we were probably unlucky to have very noisy people above us you could hear people coughing, singing and whistling quite easily.
